We absolutely loved the Citrus House for our group of 6 women. A bedroom and private bathroom for each of us, spacious well-equipped kitchen, and gorgeous grounds! Excellent location walking since to all downtown attractions, and very responsive hosts.

We took a quick trip to Palm Springs for 4 nights in February. Weather wasn't great but sun came out so that we could enjoy the pool. Three of the bedrooms/baths are in a separate building which worked great for our group and people who wanted more privacy.

We absolutely loved the property! Everything you could think of you may need for entertaining was in the kitchen. Beds comfortable fire pit enjoyable lots of fresh fruit to pick off of the trees So close to everything, we walked everywhere

Amazing property - as others have said, the pictures do not do it justice! From the fruit trees to the casitas and multiple outdoor sitting areas we didn’t want to leave. Very walkable to restaurants and used the many bikes to tour neighborhoods. Absolutely loved our stay!

Agree with other reviewers. Pictures don’t do this property justice. It’s a really unique, one of a kind property. The outdoor space is lush and resort like with lots of comfortable seating thoughtfully placed with lighting and activities. Perfect for many uses - families, bachelorette parties, couples, retreats. House is centrally located within walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, and bars. The inside is comfortably furnished and feels warm and welcoming with lots of charm and unique design features. The only thing to note is if you are staying during the high summer temps the house is old and not very energy efficient. The AC units in the casitas could use updating. Main house bedrooms didn’t get very cold except for the bunk room which had a modern split. The property ran warmer than expected but the outdoor space is so amazing, it 100% makes up for it. I would definitely stay again during a cooler month. Highly Recommend!

The Citrus House was fabulous, perfect for an extended weekend for our family of 6. Conveniently located to some of the best shops and restaurants in the desert. We enjoyed the beautiful tiled pool and comfortable lounge chairs, bocce ball, we biked, played tennis nearby, hiked to waterfalls, enjoyed outdoor meals in the garden and all watched MBA playoffs in the comfortable living room. The house was clean and comfortable, and so well equipped. The fresh citrus everyday was a real treat. We can’t wait to return.

Pictures online can’t accurately depict the beauty of the outdoor area of this home. It is stunning and we enjoyed as much time outdoors as possible. Despite temps in the 100’s, there are many covered areas that stayed cool and the pool is lovely. Hot tub wonderful as well. Property owner was incredibly responsive to questions or needs while we were there. The home is lovely as well-each bedroom has everything the guest would need and the kitchen is perfectly equipped. Our group of 6 friends could not have been happier. Proximity to downtown is a few minutes but still a quiet neighborhood. Beautiful park within a quarter mile that we all enjoyed as well.

Great spot for up to 6 adults. Clean, many outside areas to gather. Fire pit, hot tub, pool, bocci court and patio dining. Kitchen is fully stocked with all necessary supplies. Right of main street downtown Palm Springs. Many restaurants and bars nearby.

This was the perfect spot for our group of 9 women on our annual girls weekend trip (new city every year). The property was as described (no surprises). The location was excellent! Close and convenient to everything. The pool and jacuzzi were inviting. More than enough space to hang out and have fun but also have some private time if need be. I would highly recommend!!

We love staying at this beautiful property. It is a gorgeous home with well appointed rooms and a full stocked kitchen. It really is like staying at your own private resort; beautiful grounds, citrus trees, the large private pool, hot tub, bikes, bocce ball court, fire pit, outdoor pizza oven. Plenty of room to spread out and close to downtown. Owners and house manager are great with communication. Booking soon for next year. Thanks again for an amazing stay.

We stayed here for a bachelorette weekend to relax and restore ourselves. Everything on the property was stunning and thoughtful. It is the perfect place to stay in Palm Springs where you can have privacy, relax, cook in and have a truly memorable time. The home itself has aged very well and has incredible character, the kitchen is well stocked, and every corner of the yard is beautiful. The beds were all very comfortable and we stayed cool despite 100+ temps that weekend. The one single downside was that Gardeners came very early on Friday morning, which we weren’t notified of. It startled us, but we got over it :) the check in process was so easy and everyone involved was easy to communicate with. It would be a dream to stay here again, I had the best time. Don’t think twice!

Very nice property with three casitas.
It's located on a Main Street so you get a lot of street noise while outside in the pool.
House was not very clean upon arrival and had issues with the air conditioning all weekend not cooling the house down. Making it very difficult to cook meals inside since it would be unbearable. Was charged extra fees from management for cleaning out a fire pit and " extra cleaning fees" when the house it self wasn't clean ie (bugs and dust in rooms)on arrival and no instructions to not use a Fire pit to burn wood at night.

My girlfriends and I stayed here for a long weekend and did not want to leave this gorgeous house. The photos do not do this property justice. The pool was perfect, the kitchen was perfect, and it felt like a dream staying here. We are already talking about another trip to Palm Springs. Highly highly recommend booking this perfect property.

A little spot of paradise
This was a fabulous home to vacation at. The grounds are beautiful, hummingbirds/butterflies flitting around and fresh citrus from fruit trees! The pool, hot tub, lawn bowling and many chaise loungers were all utilized. A quick walk to shops/restaurants and close drive to the tram and hiking trails. The noise from the street did not bother us- actually made it less stressful to be quiet outside with PS noise rules. Took a day trip to Simi Valley to Reagan Pres. Library- a trip well worth the drive.
Would highly recommend this home to others. Very easy check-in with excellent communication.

75th birthday celebration
Eight former college roommates gathered at Citrus House for three days to celebrate our 75th birthdays and 57 years of friendship. Everyone agreed it was an amazing experience. The house and grounds are beautifully maintained and the location is excellent. The hosts are lovely and accommodating, and did everything possible to make our stay a memorable one. You will love your stay here.

Once again we truly enjoyed our stay at the Citrus House in Palm Springs. This is a beautiful property with a lot of space, comfortable rooms, and great amenities. The property is even more beautiful than the pictures convey. The location is ideal, close walking distance to many restaurants and shops. It's the perfect vacation spot to gather a group of friends or family. We are already planning another repeat visit for 2023. The owner and manager are awesome to work with, great communication. A birthday weekend we’ll never forget
The Citrus House is more beautiful than the pictures can portray. The fruit trees welcomed us to a clean, wonderfully appointed house and grounds. There’s enough space for several people to gather comfortably, or have some privacy also. The house is beautifully furnished & decorated, but felt warm and casual. Everything is well-maintained, and any concerns with the property are addressed promptly.
The house was so wonderful, we decided to cook dinner for all 12 of us one night, rather than go out to a restaurant. We spent the evening by the fire pit & in the hot tub after cooking a huge meal.
The location of Citrus House is prime for walking to shops & restaurants. Some road noise is notable, but not disturbing.
I didn’t want to leave, & we would happily return to the Citrus House again.

Magical Property
This dream spot has everything! Comfy beds, heated pool & hot tub, beyond fully equipped kitchen, citrus tree abound and we juiced the fruit every day, bocce ball court, fire pit, viewing deck, and attentive property manager. We utilized all of it. Our guests were so comfortable they didn’t want to go anywhere else. We canceled several dinner reservations because everyone was happier to hang at “home”. Its a big warm hug.

Great stay for a family vacation!
We are an extended family of 9 coming in from various parts of the country and this house was perfect. It has plenty of space - interior and exterior. The house and kitchen is very well appointed. There was a serious plumbing issue while we were there and the owners and house managers handled it very quickly and efficiently. We would happily come back again!!

Charm and elegance
Citrus House was a perfect location to host my friends for my 50+1 birthday. The property has many vignettes for small or group conversation. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed. The location was perfectly situated close to wonderful shops and restaurants. Freshly picked lemons and grapefruit were a perfect addition to our cocktails.

Amazing property!
Wow! This property is even better than what we were expecting. The house and the grounds are gorgeous. Dealing with the property manager was a breeze. Everything was clean and we had all the things we needed. It's right off the main road so there are a lot of restaurants and cute coffee shops. We love it and would highly recommend staying here.

Fabulous experience!!!
We absolutely loved our stay at the Cirtus Hosue for our group of 8. THe property, more like a compound, is breathtakingly beautiful. The interior is decorated with the mostly beautifully curated items from around the world, with comfy beds and great linens and fluffy towels. The outdoor living is the best I have ever seen in a rental home - complete with amazing pool, 12 luxury loungers, gorgeous long table for meals on the veranda, and a pizza oven! The owners were incredibly responsive and answered any questions within minutes. The only constructive criticism I have is that the ice situation is a bit dismal. The fridge does not produce enough for a house that large and was almost empty upon arrival. I suggest putting a 20 lb bag in the freezer to get guests started and then let them buy more. This is so minor though, the hosue is luxury in every way and walkable to everywhere in downtown Palm Springs, if you ever want to leave. Thank you for the hospitality!!!!

Stunning property, pics do not do justice
All of us very much enjoyed this property, it was well appointed with beautiful grounds. Restaurants and bars in downtown are a short walk away. One thing that is concerning about renting in PS is the noise ordinance, which is very strict. I felt less constrained by that because the front side, which is where the pool is, faces Indian Canyon Blvd, so there is some traffic noise. But it made it so we weren't paranoid about disturbing the neighbors, so it was actually a good thing. The traffic noise was not too noticeable, and the pool still very private with well established hedges. We made use of the pizza oven with great results! There are plenty of spices and some staples, which not all rentals have, we appreciated that. Owners were responsive and communicative before check-in, and provided a nice welcoming gift for my birthday weekend. It was really wonderful! The pictures really undersell this property. You will be pleasantly surprised at the grounds and house. There were a few minor issues, some just go with an older house - squeaky doors, broken doorknob, etc., a little oil and elbow grease would fix. We were told not to use one of the ovens, but the one we could use didn't get up to temperature. One minor mistake in the listing - there are not three separate "casitas". There is an outbuilding with 3 private rooms, each with its own entrance and full bath, but they are all in one building in the back yard of the main house, sort of like a motel setup. They are nonetheless also well appointed and totally private. It worked well for our group, and we had a great 4 days here! Highly recommend!

Amazingly beautiful property!
This property has a little bit for everyone and we utilized it all! From the fun bocce court to the huge fire pit area our family of 10 had an amazing time! The house is stocked with everything you could possibly need and the few times we had to reach out to Silvia she was fantastically responsive and took care of it all! I would highly recommend this to anyone and we plan on coming back as soon as we can!

Citrus House was extremely comfortable and felt like home. Lovely summer Getaway
We were supposed to go to Hawaii but canceled due to Covid. So excited to find this place on VRBO for our family which is mostly adult children. This is a lovely property with an outstanding location. The yard and pool are very comfortable and inviting. The house has old world charm and reminded me of my childhood home. While not a modern facility, the bathrooms and showers are very nice. The casitas are small but very quiet and comfortable.
The kitchen is amazingly stocked! So many different pots and pans and plenty of dish ware. We used the pizza oven once and it was fun as well as tasty. Helpful hint ordered the DIY kits from Blaze. One night Chef Deanna made us a feast! Don’t miss the chance to enjoy her fine cuisine.
There are plenty of towels for pool and bathing. Honestly can not think of anything that was wanting. I will definitely return with the family- although might shoot for earlier in the summer or late spring.

Gorgeous property
My friends and stayed here for my 60th birthday. The property is gorgeous. Pool was heated as promised and jacuzzi heated up in an hour or less. We loved being able to walk into the heart of Palm Springs. A few minor issues were quickly and politely resolved by the property openers and managers. We also liked the complimentary earplugs 😉� and water in each room. We would definitely stay here again as it is a one of a kind place! Thank you for sharing this lovely home.

Wonderful stay at Citrus House
This property is a fantastic place to stay in Palm Springs! You couldn't get a better location that's within walking distance of the main street with all its shopping and restaurants. The property is beautiful. The house and casitas are very comfortable. The pool is gorgeous and was well heated for our winter stay. And we used the hot tub every day. Unfortunately, it was a little cold while we were there to really enjoy the outside dining area and fire pit. We'll just have to come back! The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you need to cook. Everything was very clean when we arrived and communication with the property manager was easy and fast. She was very responsive. There's plenty of space. We were four families and we had plenty of room to spread out. I'd highly recommend this property!
There's also a ton of things to do around Palm Springs. The hiking at Indian Springs and Joshua Tree was spectacular.

Perfect Holiday Retreat
Our family had an absolutely fabulous time at the Citrus House! Sylvia and Malia are extremely helpful and responsive. The Citrus House is everything as described and much, much more. We definitely will return.

Wonderful setting for multi family holiday
We stayed at the Citrus House for 3 nights over a holiday weekend. The house worked well for our 3 families, all traveling with young kids. It is very spacious and allowed for everyone to have their own "zone" for privacy or quiet, but also had large communal areas that were perfect for all of us to hang out in, cook, swim, play games, watch movies, etc... We also enjoyed the fact that the home is only a 2 block walk into central Palm Springs. There is good shopping, and eating easily accessed without needing to get in a car which makes taking young kids out for meals a breeze.
The only negatives which really didn't affect the trip for us but could be a concern for others might be: road noise from the main road running adjacent to the poolside of the property & the fact that the pool and hot tub are located on opposite sides of the house from each other. With no direct sightlines, this meant we had to make sure an adult was with the kids (or able to chase the kids) around the house every time they decided to jaunt from the pool to the tub hot.
We have rented many homes in Palm Springs and most of them I have found to be surprisingly misleading from the photos, too small to be comfortable for more than our own family, or poorly outfitted with cheaply made things that photograph well in pictures but don't function well with the high use of a vacation rental. The Citrus House is top tier and now our new favorite rental in Palm Springs. We most definitely will look to book it first the next time we return.
