OBX Box -- Semi Ocean Front w/ Pool and hot tub - Just a Minute to the Beach!
La nostra affascinante e confortevole casa al mare con cinque camere da letto e cinque bagni con grande piscina interrata (non riscaldata) e vasca idromassaggio si trova di fronte all'oceano (solo una casa dalla spiaggia) dalla spiaggia di Duck. Sono solo 100 passi dal vialetto verso la duna (OK ... ho le gambe lunghe, quindi potresti prenderne 125 !!). Siamo a soli 10 minuti a piedi dal pittoresco villaggio di Duck, Outer Banks North Carolina, proprio di fronte a Duck Donuts! I nostri ampi ponti e posti a sedere all'aperto sul lato dell'oceano, il tiki bar e l'area di intrattenimento della piscina intorno alla nostra grande piscina interrata e al campo da pallavolo sabbioso di dimensioni standard, abbinato alla nostra grande posizione e posizione fronte semi-oceano, rendono questa una delle case più belle in anatra.
Nella nostra casa abbiamo tre livelli. Il piano terra ha una camera doppia, bagno e sala TV con porte scorrevoli in vetro che si aprono sull'area di intrattenimento della piscina con allestimento tiki bar, vasca idromassaggio, doccia esterna, ampia terrazza della piscina e posti a sedere sulla veranda coperta. La zona lavanderia con lavatrice e asciugatrice di dimensioni standard si trova anche al piano terra.
L'area di livello medio ha la nostra cucina completamente rinnovata con tutti i nuovi elettrodomestici, soggiorno con divano nuovo e sedie abbinate con grande schermo piatto, TV full size. La nostra sala da pranzo può ospitare 10. Le camere da letto a questo livello sono una camera da letto matrimoniale con bagno privato e una camera da letto matrimoniale con bagno hall. Il livello superiore ha un'area aperta per la lettura / ufficio nel soppalco che si affaccia sul soggiorno / sala da pranzo inferiore con cursori in vetro che conducono al nostro ponte superiore con viste spettacolari sull'oceano, albe e tramonti incantevoli. C'è una camera da letto matrimoniale con bagno privato e una camera da letto matrimoniale con bagno hall.
Abbiamo altoparlanti in tutta la casa, quindi porta il tuo iPad per connettersi! Il sistema interno è Bose e ci sono anche altoparlanti all'esterno nell'area della piscina.

The house appears as pictured. Comfortable stay with enough space for our group (4 adults, one toddler). Excellent location as it’s just steps from the public beach entrance. Super quiet neighborhood and easy walk to the main thoroughfare for dining, shopping, etc.
Main complaint is about cleanliness upon arrival. There was sand in all the living spaces upstairs and down (we entered with bare feet so we know we didn’t drag it in). Appliances were not wiped down. Greasy finger prints on the fridge, microwave, and stove. Crumbs on the stove top. Spills left on the cabinets and floors. It seems like all they did was clean the bathrooms (thankfully they were clean), and vacuum the carpeted area.
There was dog food or cereal under the couch so I had to vacuum that up myself. In the process I accidentally stepped on a floor vent that had a plastic cover and my foot fell right through into the vent. Both my daughter and I cut our feet from accidentally stepping on that vent right in front of the sliding glass door.
I messaged the host with the list of issues. He said he’d pass the feedback along to the cleaners and did not acknowledge the injuries or offer to make anything right (such as offering to send the cleaners back). It’s a shame because it’s a great location, but due to the host’s indifference we will not be back.

We had the most amazing family gathering at this location! Layout of house provided everyone ample space to gather or relax with a book. Spectacular views of the pool area and ocean from the deck. Location of house was perfect for walking to the beach as well as the shops and restaurants in town. Hosts were highly responsive and ensured we had a wonderful stay. We look forward to staying again in the future!

First time ever to the Outerbanks! Our family was celebrating a much needed bacay and it was also our son’s high school graduation which is also the last grandson to graduate. We had the grandparents and kids and the weather was perfect. We made no plans and enjoyed the day to day by the pool or the very short walk to the beach! Our dog was able to come and that was important to us because she is older! I only wish we didn’t have to bring our own bath towels and sheets as it adds a lot to packing for 7 people. But it’s not a deal breaker either 😊We will definitely consider this house again.

This was our 6th trip to Duck and this was, by far, the best house we've ever stayed in. From start to finish, everything was perfect. The location alone cannot be beat - you are from steps the beach and just down the street from restaurants and shopping. The house was outstanding! So clean, updated showers and really well stocked - we had everything we needed for the week. Mike was quick to respond to any questions or to give me updates. We can't wait to come back!

Found this house on Vrbo as a last minute option and couldn't be happier with our choice. Our original plans fell through (ferry to Ocracoke closed due to storms - road closures etc) so we found this and it was a much quicker drive for us from northern VA - and we've never stayed in Duck before. Communication from the owner was prompt and courteous. Entry with the code was a breeze. Large home and plenty of room for us for a couple of days - beautiful blue color on the house, by the way! It was windy and chilly but the beach is only a few steps away so we enjoyed it anyway. Nice big driveway, very clean home and the ensuite king bedroom (top floor) has a super nice and modern bathroom that appears to have recently been remodeled. Excellent water pressure throughout and there are two thermostats for upper and lower floors. We were very, very comfortable. Fantastic view from the kitchen balcony, and there's a Keurig there too - not having to bring our own was a huge help. Remember to bring your own sheets and towels. Highly recommended and hope to stay there again. Thanks!

On vacation, our family always finds it hard to strike a balance between entertainment/activities and restful seclusion. We were delighted to discover that our stay at OBX Box struck the perfect balance. We could walk to the beach, walk to Duck for dinner, or hang out together in this peaceful, quiet neighborhood. If we wanted to stray farther away into Kitty Hawk, Nags Head, or Corolla, we could be there by car in minutes. It was the perfectly balanced vacation - everyone came away happy, relaxed, and sad to leave after such a fantastic vacation.

Beautiful home, such great ocean views. The host was fabulous and we loved the layout of the home. It was so bright and spacious, well decorated and very clean. We would def. rebook in the future. The hot tub and oool area were also just lovely. Set up so well w privacy trees and nice fencing. I highly recommend this rental!!!

I surprised my spouse with a long weekend beach trip - I mean, who doesn’t want to be on the beach in February? Yes - it was cold. And YES - it was fantastic.
The house was clearly renovated with an eye toward quality and beachy beauty. The appliances were new and CLEAN, the flooring was very nice, the beds were comfortable, and the decorating made us feel like we were at home.
The location is perfect. Even though one of the beach accesses was closed due to storm damage, it was just a quick walk to the next one down (at Scarborough Lane). The house is VERY close to all the best that Duck has to offer. And although it’s still very off-season, quite a few of the shops in Scarborough Faire were open for business!
We hope to have the opportunity to stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay. The property is perfectly located in Duck. Walking distance to the town a street off the beachfront with very close public access. Each bedroom has access to their own bathroom and the public areas were great. We communicated to owner concern on cleanliness. We would rent this property again.

Our week was a little chilly with only one day of rain. The house was warm and cozy and a delight to stay in. The kitchen is a amply furnished and the living area comfy. We had just 5 adults in the house and had extra room everywhere. We got our linens from Moneysworth and they were waiting for us at arrival. Good service.
A lot of the dunes had washed away from storms and sand fences were being installed to catch the sand over the winter. All the Duck stores on the boardwalk were open as were the local restaurants.
We had a wonderful week in a wonderful house. Truly 5 stars.

We had such a wonderful time at this property. The hosts were great communicators, they provided clear instructions, etc. I feel the photos were accurate of the property. Each bedroom having its own bath was such a great plus for our family, and the downstairs bathroom was perfect for beach and pool bathroom breaks! The outdoor spaces were our favorite… two beautiful decks overlooking the ocean and a perfect pool setup with great quality outdoor furniture. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. The beach walk immediately next to the home was not in service due to a storm but the nearest access wasn’t far away so it didn’t impact us much, if at all.

Property is in a beautiful neighborhood. The beach is just a short walk away. You can see and hear the ocean from the upper deck. The house was very clean and has plenty of room for the whole family. Pool and hot tub are very nice with a great patio space big enough for everyone to hangout and relax. My family had a great vacation. I would highly recommend this property for your next OBX getaway!

I can't say enough good things about this house and hosts! What an amazing spot for a multi generation family. We had an amazing week despite a tropical storm and a town water main break... Mike was on top of what the town waterworks had going on... that just added to our adventure! The location is amazing and literally just steps from the beach... house is really well equipped and perfect for a family. The pool and hot tub were great after a day at the beach. Highly recommend this beautiful house... hope to visit again!!!

This home is perfect. We were a family vacation and the set up with 5 bedrooms and 5 baths is perfect! There are 3 comfortable living spaces to allow for a getaway if needed. Lots of comfortable spots to curl up with a book, but also lots of great spaces for the family to gather all together for a meal or game time!

Excellent location; close proximity to beach and town. Great pool. Adequate furnishings. Gas grill would have been more accommodating. Upstairs bedrooms were very warm. Temperature setting restrictions on A/C. Limited seating/close quarters in living room.

This house is steps from the beach, beautifully appointed, with great decor and thoughtful details. The owners regularly update the house, and are friendly and responsive. A perfect house for a smaller group.

We stayed here for a week and this place had nearly everything we needed, including an amazing location. The property was walking/biking distant from downtown Duck and steps from the beach. The pool and hot tub were great to have when the beach got a little too hot. The communication with Mike before and during the trip was quick and friendly.
Really we only had 2 main things we would improve: 1) having more hooks in master bathrooms for towels and wet bathing suits. We ended up getting a few Command hooks to hang for the week…and 2) it was great the pool service guy came mid-week, but he didn’t clean the pool or hot tub. Just added chemicals. Going from beach to pool we made sure to rinse off in the outdoor shower each time, but sand always found it’s way into the water. So a lot of sand collected at the bottom of the pool even by Wednesday.
But obviously these weren’t game changers and overall this house, stay, and experience gave us a great family vacation. I’d recommend this house for sure.

Our third year vacationing at this great beach house was wonderful as always. So much to do in the town of Duck. Having the beach across the street is so convenient and the kids (and adults) loved the pool. We will be back next year for our 4th annual family Duck vacation.

This was the perfect beach house for our family. With just a few short steps to the beach and just a short walk to the heart of Duck it is absolutely ideal. The home was well stocked and nicely decorated. The outdoor setting—pool, hot tub and party lights was very fun. All was clean and well kept. I would definitely stay here again.

We visited OBX over the Massachusetts April school vacation. The weather was perfect. The ocean water was too cold for swimming at the beginning of the week, but did warm enough to swim by the end of the week.
Mike and Mary's home was wonderful. 100 steps to the beach is pretty accurate. The home is not on the water, but actually closer to the beach than some OBX ocean front properties. There is a nice view from the third floor and we could hear the waves crashing all week. Everything was clean, to include the very nice pool area, and Mike could not have been more responsive to our questions.
The neighborhood (Ocean Dunes) is easily within walking distance to downtown Duck.
We highly recommend.

This is a lovely and spacious house just a few steps from the beach. There was plenty of room for our extended family of 9, and we enjoyed all that the house had to offer. Communicating with the hosts was easy and efficient and they were very accommodating to our needs.

Great experience even though weather was chilly. Definitely would return. Great location. If I had to give any cons it would be new mattresses on the beds and hot tub could use some cleaning and updating but I wouldnt let it stop me from going back.

Our family loved everything about this house. We have 2 kids under 5 and they had a blast. The house was the perfect layout for our family of 4 and a rottie! The owners were super responsive prior and during our stay. We can’t wait to come back!
