Beautiful property. Has everything you need.

This is not your average beach bungalow. The updated kitchen and bathrooms are excellent, and the beach access made it all the better. Only inaccuracy was no hot tub even though one was listed in the amenities description.

The title pretty much says it - my wife and I had a great experience with our dogs at the house and in Cayucos. We’re certainly planning to return and look forward to it. For context, we live in Santa Cruz and just a few blocks away from the beach in a very walkable part of town. And our house is very comfortable and a nice place to be; we’re grateful to live in a beach community. But sometimes you need to get away to relax (and not putter around the house and finish projects). And no way do we want to do that without our dogs. The house is great - super comfortable and well-appointed. It’s actually nicer than the pictures. I wouldn’t want to be there with more than one additional couple and a kid, but it’s perfectly sized for that. If you cook, the kitchen is great, with all the kitchen appliances you’re likely to need. Seating, bedding, linens, bathrooms are all nice / comfortable. The location is nice - quiet and very close to the beach access at 16th. If you’ve not been to Cayucos, it’s a nice and very walkable community. It feels like a much smaller and cleaner Santa Cruz. It’s a 15-ish minute walk to a decent, dog-friendly restaurant. And 20-ish minute walk to good coffee and another 5 to the pier. There’s a handful of dining and breakfast / coffee options. If you’re coming with dogs, there’s nowhere at the house to sensibly or appropriately, uh, take care of business. So know that you’ll need to take a walk around the block when that needs to happen.

A clean comfortable home away from home. And right down the street from the beach. What could be better?

Our family spent three nights at this wonderful place. Very clean house, great location, excellent choice for a retreat into a hidden, peaceful coastal town.

Melanie’s beach house was wonderful! We were so pleased to have two king size beds that were very comfortable, two beautiful bathrooms and a lovely kitchen to cook in. Meeting our adult kids in Cayucos was perfect! They love to surf so perfect spot!! We were all very comfortable. We used the sunny front patio often and loved the quick access to the beautiful beach. Love the sweet town of Cayucos and took two awesome hikes, one walking distance from the house up a hill which gave us a great view of the town and ocean and another one very close by car around the reservoir! Location of the house is excellent! Short drive to groceries and Morro Bay! In town for CalPoly graduation and although we went back and forth often it was an easy drive. We also finally toured Hearst Castle and loved it! So much to do and see in the area so the list goes on! But the vibe of Cayucos and the comfort of the house made me keep referring to it as “let’s go home now” at the end of each day! On top of it all, the neighbors were so welcoming! So glad to return to this lovely property - exactly as described and pictured, and you are 90 seconds from a long beautiful beach with views down to Morro Bay! Lovely spaces indoors, well stocked kitchen, and super comfortable indoors and out. Our dog is ready to return, thanks again Melanie!

A relaxing time at the house and a few visits to the beach. It was just right!

Cutest cottage just a short walk to the beach. Quiet neighborhood, and easy access to highway. Loved the front patio with fire pit, and all the modern finishes in the house. It had everything we needed for a great getaway!

This VRBO is exactly as advertised. Communications with the owner were easy and she responded quickly to questions. The house is less than a block from beach access yet on a quiet side street. Cayucos has quaint little restaurants and you are just down the road from Morrow Bay and and minutes away from San Luis Obispo. We loved it.

We had a great time in Cayucos. The house was very clean upon our arrival and it had everything we needed. It was very close to the beach and great hiking trails.

This was our 6th stay at this beautiful property. The kitchen is well equipped and well designed. Not your typical rental as beds, linens, appliances, bath and bed design top notch quality. We immediately move into vacation mood because Melanie has made her home a very happy place.

Lovely, comfortable, fully equipped home which is a 3 minute walk to the beach in a very friendly neighborhood. The owner, Melanie, is very accessible and accommodating. We had a wnderful 3 week stay.

We stayed at this home for 3 nights and what a joy it was. The place has been remodeled recently and is very clean and nice. The house is located in an amazing location where we could hear the waves crashing on the beach while we enjoyed our coffee on the beautiful front patio. The home had everything we needed and everything seemed new. It was a joy staying here and we hope to do it again in the near future! Cayucos beaches are pretty magical - being able to stay so close with all of the amenities of home is amazing! Comfy beds, fully equipped kitchen, BBQs outside, fire pit, TVs and great seating. EVERYONE was happy, even our dogs!

This is a beautiful home fully renovated with fantastic upgrades. The kitchen is a dream. Quiet location! Super close to the beach and a short drive to town! We would love to stay again!

Cayucos is always a great place to unwind for a few days. Fantastic dog beach, close proximity to Paso wine tasting makes for a great time for all. We’ve stayed at this property several times, and it is always a WONDERFUL stay! Super comfortable, wonderfully updated,, and it has all the creature comforts of home.

The house was clean, completely updated, and had just about everything you need for your stay. The host was very helpful, quick and easy to communicate with. Our only struggle was the lack of a small green space for our prima donna dogs who do not travel a lot:/ The small backyard was enclosed, but was gravel and concrete, something our dogs were not used to in their yard at home. Traveling with them again, we now know to bring a small roll out yard turf with us. This time we just walked them a lot (and they didn't complain about that:)

What a lovely place in a perfect location for a beach getaway! Exactly as described, and literally 90 seconds to one of best beaches on the Central Coast! Everything we needed was there, and Melanie is a great communicator and a pleasure to work with. Cannot recommend more highly if you’re planning a trip to the area.

We needed a home that would accept our 2 dogs for a visit to the beach. This was perfect! A small backyard for all their needs, as well as bbq's for their masters. Immaculately clean. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances and basic dry goods.

Had the opportunity to catch up with some long time friends from middle school. It was a perfect spot for a girls getaway safe, clean and comfortable. Will be meeting again next Fall!
