We really enjoyed our stay at Canteloupe Cottage. The property was very nice on a pleasant, quiet road. We were walking/biking distance from the Chatham Rd beach access point, and several other inlet access points. We had a lot of fun.

The cottage was great - very well equipped and comfortable. It's super cute with a ton of mermaid touches. It's in a quiet part of Tybee without a ton of traffic, but close enough to the action to be convenient. We had a lovely stay.

House is comfortable if a bit shabby (could use some TLC) but in a great locale. Quiet, bedroom neighborhood along Tybee Creek with 3 beach access points including one small pier, within easy walking distance. It was great swimming in the calmer waters along the Tybee Creek side of the island and not getting pounded by the surf. Wonderful beach combing. Easy walk to big pier, the pavillion and The Breakfast Club, etc. At the house, beds were comfotrtable and everything worked. Tons to do in and around Tybee and Savannah without having to go far. We had a great 5 days there and brought along our doggo. Would rent again.

Cantaloupe Cottage is a lovely beach house! Beds and seating are comfortable, AC works great, and real art on every wall (not Hobby Lobby stock cheesy art). Haint Blue at every entrance. Only 2 blocks from Back River Beach, so quiet for relaxing, fishing, watching birds. Only half a mile to the strip on Tybrisa St and more ocean access! I loved being able to take a short little walk to my choice of beach. Overall, having this lovely beach home to stay in really made our trip memorable. The Mermaid Cottages staff were helpful but not intrusive. Just a couple of texts to make sure everything was good. (It was great) Check in/ Checkout was easy. Highly recommend, and we will definitely use Mermaid Cottages again!

This house is clean inside but really needs some work. Windows are dirty, outside appeal is awful, the walls are white but it needs painting as the walls look dirty. The island itself was very nice. Quiet and not much traffic at all so great for biking or walking.

Our three night stay at the Cantaloupe Cottage was seamless- excellent management company and easy check in/out. Very happy with the property, the beds, the location. The only thing was the shower/tub drained VERY slowly. Other than this, it was fantastic!

Very nice. Would like an outlet in bathroom or better access to mirror and outlet in bedrooms. Also maybe another tv in another one of the bedrooms. Would also like a broom and dustpan to sweep up the leaves tracked in. Liked the fenced yard for dogs

House was two blocks from the beach and four blocks from shops, and clean (except for the coffee pot). Manager was responsive and friendly, as always. A little trouble getting into the home as the screen door was latched from the inside. The area was quiet and safe.

Very impressed with our stay. The cottage matched the beach vibe and was the cleanest place I have ever stayed. Tammy was awesome and a pleasure to talk to. The yard was great and we sat out at back patio every day and enjoyed morning coffee. We visit Savanna often and will stay with Mermaid Cottages again.

Perfect cottage for our family get away. Plenty of space for 4 adults and our 2 dogs to enjoy and relax. We really enjoy paddle boarding, fishing and playing in the waves. Just a short walk and we could do everything. My dogs loved the secure backyard . The island is so clean and walker friendly. Would highly recommend.

A wonderful little home right near the beach. We loved staying here and loved Tybee Island itself. The locals were all SO friendly and Steve and Tammy with Mermaid cottages were amazing and helpful. I will say if you're staying a full week like we did to bring extra trash bags and paper towels.

Cantaloupe Cottage was a great place to stay while visiting Tybee Island. If you prefer a quiet neighborhood and don’t mind a short walk or drive to the beach, this is the place to be. It’s affordably priced and provides a quiet place to relax before and after time spent out at the beach. The management team was very responsive and checked in on my family several times while we were there to make sure we had everything we needed. When the kitchen faucet started to leak, they it fixed within an hour. Overall, we had a great vacation!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the cantaloupe cottage. The house was comfortable, clean, and cute. The only issue we had was with the spotty internet. It was not very reliable. Otherwise we loved it! The house is only a couple of blocks away from the back river beach (our favorite) and 1/2 mile from the beaches at the pier and pavilion. We watched the sunset from the shore at the fisherman’s walk pier each night - amazing! We brought our bicycles and were able to bicycle everywhere! That was the best part - no driving or fighting for parking spaces we had to pay for. Even the lighthouse is within bicycling distance. The house is in a quiet residence neighborhood. We plan to come back next year!

Cantaloupe Cottage was perfect for our family. We loved the sitting area in the back of yard to soak up the late evening sun and the cement patio for the dogs. The location was perfect for walking to the beach and restaurants, such as Pier 16, Sunrise and AJ's Dockside. We rented bikes from Fat Tire bikes and basically biked the entire island the last 2 days of our vacation. Also, I want to mention Tammy was extremely accommodating and pleasant to deal with. She was quick to respond to any questions we had regarding our stay. Thank you so much for such a wonderful memorable vacation! Tybee was a beautiful place and we hope to be back! We would rent again.

Our stay at Canty Cottage was one of our absolute favorite vacations we have taken yet. The location is one that can’t be beat. We were just a short walk to the beach and fishing pier. The cottage is located in a quiet neighborhood, we would walk to the beach early in the morning and everyone in the neighborhood who was out walking was extremely friendly. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Our dogs enjoyed the fenced in back yard as well. Mermaid Tammy was absolutely wonderful and checked in with us throughout our stay. Tybee Island is truly magical and mermaid cottages helped make our stay that much better! We will definitely be using them again in the future.

This was the first vacation home I have ever rented so I was a little worried about how the entire process was going to go. Each year we take a beach vacation for my Son's birthday and this year we chose Tybee. My Wife and Son have never visited but I stayed on the island on and off about 15 years ago. We picked this pet-friendly location near the river and a few blocks from the beach. The property had everything we needed for our stay and some. The property manager was very helpful, accessible and assured we had everything we needed for our stay. The home was very clean and the yard was spacious. Everyone had a blast and we are sad we had to leave. Until next year...
