Redwing House In Old Town
Una casa accogliente e ben arredata nel centro storico di Crested Butte. Due camere da letto con un soppalco e un divano letto nel soggiorno per dormire flessibile. Abbiamo un portabiciclette per deposito biciclette sicuro, parcheggio fuori strada e deposito sci interno. Una navetta gratuita per il comprensorio sciistico parte ogni 15 minuti e ferma a 1/2 isolato da casa nostra. Siamo anche a un isolato da Elk Ave (strada principale), con la maggior parte dei ristoranti a 5 isolati, senza bisogno di un'auto a noleggio, basta prendere la navetta dall'aeroporto. Siamo anche a soli 2 isolati dai negozi di alimentari / liquori / video / alimenti naturali.

We visited Crested Butte for a wedding and needed a place to stay with our children. Salle's house had everything we needed to accommodate our children and was just a short few blocks away from Elk Ave for dining and shopping. My kids loved the swing on the porch and have already asked when we can go back to Colorado and stay there again!

Nice little place in the middle of town. It was convenient for everything. We had all the amenities we needed. The house was not the fanciest but it suited us for our road trip with two young kids and a yellow lab puppy.

We absolutely loved our stay. The location is perfect, beds are comfortable, and we know for next time we don’t need to pack reading material-Sallie’s library is amazing! We will be back this fall!

Oh man was this house and city and whole stay amazing! We will be back. House was well stocked and the location was perfect. Just two blocks from the Main Street with coffee shops and restaurants. Also about one block from a large park. Thank you Salle for being a great host.

This is a really nice place to stay. It is clean and quiet, it has a lot of character, and enough space for a family of four (two bedrooms, so one for aid and then the two kids shared a bed and bedroom). The house is an old mining cabin, and the furnishings and fittings give it a very authentic “Crested Butte” vibe. The host was clear, communicative, and provided all of the directions and support we needed. The location is perfect for walking to playgrounds, or to shops and restaurants on Elk Street, or biking from the front door out to the trails. Our family typically stays in crested Butte for a week or so at least once every summer, and we will be looking to see if this place is available on our future trips.

My brother and I stayed at the Redwing house for our annual Crested Butte trip. The house was comfortable, quiet, warm, and in an ideal location for access to restaurants/shopping. Salle was very responsive when we had questions. The house was well-appointed with kitchen amenities and lots of linens. Also, the beds were super-comfortable. Highly recommended!

Only positive things to say about this property. The location was perfect with close proximity to the shops and the ski bus. And the house was clean, warm and had everything we needed during our stay. I must add that the bedding was so comfortable - a blessing after staying at other properties!

We had a great vacation staying with Salle at her downtown CB house this summer. We hiked, biked and walked to restaurants from the house, and Salle and her family were gracious hosts. The Redwing House was perfect for our family of 4 (3 adults, 1 kid and 1 dog) & has everything you may need. We'll be back!

Pros: property is very clean; cute and comfortable; thoughtful amenities from the owner; 2 minute walk to Elk Street where most of the restaurants and shops are (which turned out to be good and not so good)
Cons: property is 1/2 of a duplex which is apparently being renovated which led to some construction noise (but quiet at night); the property looks like a mess on the outside—we passed it 3 times while looking for it because we couldn’t believe that was where we were staying; because it was summer and there were no AC or fans we had the windows open and had quite a bit of loud foot traffic at night from people going home from Elk Street.

This home is a cozy 1/2-duplex centrally located in CB. 1 block to shops/restaurants on Elk Ave; 1-1/2 blocks to community Arts venue, Visitor's Center & parks. A cozy cabin with a vintage/rustic vibe (it was a historic miner's cabin), that is clean and comfortable. Bonus points for washer/dryer and bikes available for use. Not a lot of space for outdoor living, but you can sit on the little porch and say hello to folks walking around town. The tiny kitchen is cute and functional (dishwasher, microwave, ample cooking utensils). There were 3 of us + my Saint Bernard, so it was a bit tight on space, but we had an enjoyable stay overall.

we enjoyed our stay at Salle’s house. The place was just as pictured and described on VRBO. We found it clean, comfortable, and charming. The location cannot be beat , close to everything - including Elk Ave., the grocery store, and park. We would stay there again , a comfortable and convenient home away from home in CB.

The owners have put a lot of care into making this place as great as it is. Lovely artwork, comfortable eclectic furnishings, all the kitchen items you could want, coffee maker for drip and espresso, etc. and great location near Elk street, the Nordic center, and the shuttle to the ski lifts. We’ve stayed in many downtown CB places, and this is our new favorite.

Adorable historic place right in the middle of town with easy walk/bike to everything. Really well stocked kitchen. Worked well for a family of 3 with a 4 year old, even including a selection of books and puzzles/board games. We would definitely stay there again.

The house was quaint, and cozy. It was so convenient to elk avenue and all of the shops and restaurants. We had our newborn and toddler so it was perfect to be able to get home quickly from a too late dinner. The house has everything you need and was so clean. Highly recommend staying here like we did in the fall for all of the beautiful scenery in crested butte. Wonderful property

We stayed here for our elopement weekend in CB. A great location, close to everything in town. The house had everything we needed.
The only thing I wish would have been better was communication about the check-in process. I received instructions for check in the night before and only after requesting. I was getting nervous but it turned out okay.

Comfortable and centrally located
We were in town for our daughter’s wedding and this was the perfect location for all the festivities. The host was very responsive to our needs and we enjoyed our stay.

Great cozy place for 2-4 people and dog
My husband skis while I and our dog get outside for other non-skiing winter activities. We’d never been to Crested Butte and heard it was fantastic for skiers and non-skiers alike. It didn’t disappoint, and neither did the Red Wing house. What a great, cozy little place for two people and a dog! We also loved that it was easy walking distance to Elk Ave where shopping, restaurants, and bars are. Definitely would stay here again! ❤️

Thanksgiving vacation stay
The property was just as described. Great location, very close to grocery and town. We had an amazing stay. Town was very quiet before Thanksgiving as we expected, but we still found places to eat and shop. Great hikes close by. we love Crested Butte and wanted to be within walking distance so it was perfect!

Very satisfied and will consider bringing a friend next time
A five-star experience like other recent reviewers, for the same reasons that they mention! I stayed in the last week of September into early October and had no trouble staying comfortable. Salle was a very responsive host with cordial "in-town staff" who are obviously committed to guest satisfaction. Recommended.

Great location comfortable accommodations
Located 1 block from Elk street makes this house very convenient to shops and restaurants. The kitchen is small but exceptionally well equipped and even provided some oils, condiments and spices. Current construction next door might make this less appealing if you wanted to spend most of your time around the house but we spent most of our time hiking so it worked just fine. Very homey and also has a good selection of books and games.

We love to visit Crested Butte, it's an easy town to love, and this property is right in the thick of the action. Everything was fine and we would certainly choose to stay there again.

End of Summer - Redwing House
Good property and exactly as represented on website. Comfortable beds, quality linens, well stocked kitchen and plenty of seating. Even though this is a duplex it was quiet and the location was great. The host was very responsive to property inquiries. Note that the outdoor porch is adequate for four and faces the street so you can watch CB comings/goings. CB restaurants not all open but the glorious trails are ! Escaping GA heat and humidity always a good thing and visiting our daughter and new “grand dog” - priceless.

Amazing Location
This property is in a perfect location! It's accessibility to everywhere we wanted to be absolutely made our trip. We walked or biked almost exclusively, which was a welcome break from the car along an otherwise lengthy road trip. It was a perfect size for us, with two adults and two young kids. It was also very thoughtfully stocked. Would absolutely stay here again!

Great location in Crested Butte
This was an amazing property located a block from the main street in Crested Butte. It was perfect for our family to be close to town, cook some meals, and have enough space for the entire family. Check in was super easy. My six year old daughter loved the books available on the bookshelf and the porch swing. This house is very kid friendly! The house and neighborhood is quaint and very CB. We got lemonade from a kid's lemonade stand across the street during our stay, and could walk to all our favorite CB places like Camp for coffee, and the Secret Stash! We had one issue with the TV not working, and it took a few days to resolve. But overall the owner was very responsive to all our questions and the tv issue. Would definitely stay here again!
