Perfect place to get away with your friends and kids. There was so much to do in the house the boys had a blast. Wonderfully remote with an amazing view and relaxing jacuzzi on the deck. The place had all the kitchen accessories needed to make lovely meals and definitely enough space for all 16 of us. Would definitely return!

This home was perfect for our annual family trip. The kids loved playing outside and exploring the property. There was plenty of room for everyone and the house was very comfortable. The views are incredible! We will definitely stay here again.

We had an amazing time! The home was beautiful and accommodated our large party very well. You can't beat the view! Sitting around the fire pit on the deck with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and taking in the scenery and the peace and quiet was such a treat. We enjoyed exploring around the property and even got to play in the snow.
The home was so well stocked. Everything was set up so nice and welcoming. Would definitely go back!!
Only drawback was that the wifi wasn't great.

We got our family together for our annual stay. This is, by far, the best place we found to stay in several years. There’s lots of room, very clean, very well equipped. And we had quite a bit of snow left over from the week before so the kids had a lot of fun sledding. We never left the property during the four days we were there.

Very poor cell phone reception. Stunning views, large comfortable deck with a great fire pit and hot tub. Michael, our host was very accommodating and helpful.

I had the most profound experience at Michael's humble home. From the moment I arrived, I could feel the love he and the land had been cultivating together. There's real magic happening at this place and it pulled at the heart cords of everyone in my party. I personally can say I had a life changing experience that will stick with me until my final days. Michael really goes above and beyond the call of duty with his warm greeting and presence if anything happens to come up. I'm so happy to have had the privilege of experiencing this slice of heaven he's carved out. You will be blown away by all this land has to offer and be glad you chose to stay. Thanks for being a super hero, Michael!

The one issue we had was that the jacuzzi was not working upon our arrival however Michael made it a point to make it right by us and I really appreciated that. We booked Michael's property for a weekend getaway with family & friends for president's day weekend. Right from the start Michael made our trip comfortable and easy with his great communication and hospitality. On the day of check-in, he made sure the driveway was well plowed for our group to arrive with no issues! He is very passionate about the property and Palomar Mountain and gave us many great tips on how to enjoy the lodge as well as the beautiful scenery around us. The property was huge and had many great amenities for my group to enjoy. From playing games in the game room, sledding down in the snow, to enjoying the sunrise by the lake, there were so many things to enjoy during our visit. The property was clean and cozy and we only hope Michael allows us to visit again in the future!

Wonderful Mountain Lodge
Wonderful property. Fireplaces are great gathering places, awesome game room downstairs and Kitchen is fully stocked. I highly recommend this property and would stay here again.

Winter Holiday Vacation
This property is amazing! Our group had 6 adults and 7 children, and everyone had a wonderful time. The house is very spacious with a lot of room to spread out. The backyard is huge. We were able to go sledding on the property which was a huge bonus. We definitely hope to visit again.

Got over a foot of snow on Christmas and all had our first white Christmas an hour from home! Sledded down large sections, snowball fights, snow angels and of course a snowman family.
The house was perfect for our multi family stay. Fires in multiple rooms, blackjack, ping pong, kids room sleepovers, elaborate meals in the fully stocked kitchen, and good ol fashioned conversation around the kitchen table.
Couldn’t endorse this place enough. If Michael would allow us we might make this an annual tradition. :)

The property is well stocked, with 2 kitchens, 2 refrigerators, plenty of cutlery and other utensils for 16 of us. We had no problem cooking. There is a pool /ping pong table combo , plenty of games as well as washer and dryer. The rooms were great with 2 masters sized bedrooms with bathrooms. The layout with 2 lounges was plenty for 16 adults. Thanks to Michael, our family had a good time.

Amazing view. Refreshing weekend away.
The deck, jacuzzi, view, and ponds make it a perfect place to get away and relax. Check-in process is very simple and house in great shape. Although there were a few items missing in the kitchen, the property manager was very responsive and remedied things immediately. Although kitchen and dining room were somewhat tight for our group of 14 adults, the warmth of the house and view mean we will be back!

AMAZING PROPERTY
The pictures don’t do this gorgeous property justice! We felt like we were in a Snow White fairy tale while walking on the grounds, complete with magical deer crossing through. We had our church retreat at this beautiful property, and it was perfect. Michael was extremely generous and the staff he left for us to contact was on top of everything we needed. We will definitely be coming back :)

Hidden Oasis!
We had our bridal party stay here the night before and the night of our wedding. The cabin was clean, well stocked, and so beautiful! It was the perfect spot for my husband and I to prepare for our wedding. The views are beyond compare and the surroundings are equally as beautiful! I HIGHLY recommend staying here if you are considering it! You won't be disappointed!

Amazing home
What a perfect way to spend a few days away from home in the cold mountain air. Palomar Vista Lodge was a perfect getaway with everything one could need at their fingertips. The sprawling property afforded several families the ability to spread out and enjoy the land and home and views.

Beautiful Location & Cozy Home
We stayed here for a family vacation with 8 adults and 7 kids. It was a wonderful time. The kids room with 6 twins was perfect for the kids. The views were breathtaking even seeing deers up by the house. The owners were responsive and very detailed in providing or having on hand the little things you may forget on a trip. I would highly recommend this place.

Amazing Getaway!
The Palomar Vista Lodge is amazing in every way and has become our preferred lodging spot when we visit Mt Palomar. The house is spacious, well kept and equipped with everything you will need whether you are bringing a large group or simply your family. The land surrounding the house and the views from the house truly provide for the perfect getaway. My personal favorite was sitting in the hammock overlooking the pond and city, it was so peaceful. The owner also took a personal interest in making sure we had a wonderful, comfortable stay. I can’t wait to return and hope to do so soon! Thank you Palomar Vista Lodge for the memories we were able to create!

Wonderful in every way!
We stayed 4 days over Christmas with our grown kids, grandkids and great grandkids. The layout suited multi-generations perfectly. The game room downstairs was a big hit and having 2 kitchens a real plus. We hung out around the gas fire ring on the deck and enjoyed the breath taking view. Since the property is 8 acres it's easy to find some solitude if you need it. We watched deer drinking from one of the 2 ponds on the property. We actually brought more cooking equipment th a we needed, they had everything including a crockpot and nice cookware. There were plenty of plates, glasses of every kind and flatware. I really can't say enough about it. The owner and manager were excellent to work with and very accommodating. This is one Christmas that will be long remembered.

We had a very good time staying Thanksgiving weekend with friends in this property. It has everything we need for vacation: from comfortable beds, clean sheets, extra comfy towels, game rooms with all the games we can think of, all kinds of fancy kitchen supplies plus everything we need for cooking. They also provide chopsticks!!!!
The property is huge ( 8 aces) and we had many mini adventures there. The back yard is the best place for kids and adults. It is walking distance to the state park. We hiked 10 miles for the group from 4-year-old to 65 years old. The trail next to the observatory is also a good place to explore. We will come back in summer time next time.
