Perfect house for two families looking for a quiet beach getaway

This property was lovely from top to bottom. Our entire family was very pleased w the stellar views amenities and ambiance of this vacation destination. The owners are tremendous and have done a lovely job in arranging this property. From great tech to quality products. We enjoyed our stay and literally had zero issues whatsoever. Would highly recommend this property.

The only negative we had for our stay was that the pool had some damage that prevented us from being able to use it. The property manager notified us as soon as he knew and even tried to find another place for us. When he couldn’t he went out of his way to make up for it. Honestly, while we would have liked to have the pool with so many kids, it did not put a damper on our trip in any way. We were so enamored with the property manager’s perfect blend of Midwest neighbor and southern hospitality that we are making it a point to stay at one of the properties he manages again next year.

Loved the kitchen and supplies for easy cooking for a large group.
The deck and pool was a great asset for the kids and grownups to enjoy.
Easy access to the bayside or public beach access right across the street. Nice and quiet location. Beautiful view of the bridge. Loved the set up with a bedroom on each corner for everyone to retreat to when a little rest was needed.

We love the wide open floor plan of this bay side home that’s perfect for our large family. The back deck and covered porch is perfect for viewing dolphins in the bay and enjoying both sunrise and sunset.

We started out at one house on the bay and we loved it. The air conditioning went out unfortunately and we had record breaking heat so we had to change houses. I was not as impressed with the new house but it was much cooler and Vacasa was kind enough to find us a new house to get out of the heat so I am very appreciative of that.

Great property! Family loved being on the bayside but be in walkable distance from the golf side. Boys were excited for the big grass yard to play wiggle ball in. For future occupants here are some questions I had before coming. The house does not have beach items (chairs, toys, etc), but has a parking pass for you to park right by the beach. The kitchen has an ice cream maker and double air fryer. It does not have a griddle for pancakes; it does have a small electric skillet but we couldn’t get it to work. Make sure you bring extra dish soap, trash bags, laundry soap and zip lock bags.
We had an amazing time and can’t wait to come back.

House was great with well stocked kitchen except for only one dish towel! Loved the front porch and back deck. Access to the bay was nice—just a short walk across the backyard. However we like the ocean and would want a house located on the beach if we booked again.

The house was Great! Very clean very nice, everything worked as it should. Location was great for family! Very quite and laid back. Only complaint would be the actual beach behind the house wasn’t the best for hanging out on and swimming! Luckily public beach is right across the road though! But minus that it was a 5 out of 5!

This property was excellent! There was plenty of room and every bedroom has it's own bathroom. It was great having the bay right in the back yard and the ocean just a short walk across the street. Dauphin Island is a very relaxing atmosphere. Our family would definitely stay at this home again.

House was great. Easy check in, clear instructions, clean home, as described. Beach access from the back yard.
For management - There was no code for the lock box sent, so I just used the door code every time. Also the light on the top of steps, was out, needs to be replaced.

We had more than enough room for all 6 of us plus two pups! The grass yard was great to play in and the bay was just a short walk. You can also easily walk over to the beach side as well. The only complaint was the skillets were a little out dated.

This home is absolutely beautiful and met our family needs with 4 separate rooms with individual restrooms. There was ample space for everyone to spread out or for us to be together as group. The kitchen was a good size for preparing meals. The view of the ocean was great! Access to the local restaurants/stores was also easy! Would definitely recommend this for future family events.

The beds were very comfy and the house was in a great location to the beach and the bay. Mosquitoes were out of control and made it had to enjoy night sitting outside and kind of during the day. A screened area would have been nice. Also, not a deal breaker but a walk path to the bay would have been nice due to the fact the grassy area is like a marsh. We would rent again and we always vacation in DI.

Overall stay was excellent. Did find a few unwashed utensils in with the clean ones. The bathtub in one room needs to be unclogged and had to look for towels and wash cloths some of the rooms not stocked well. But besides minor issues a great place to rent.

It was exactly what we needed to spend time together but yet enough room to separate when we needed our own personal space. It accommodated us very nicely and we enjoyed our time while staying there. We would do it again if opportunity arises!

This house was Gorgeous. A short walk to the beach gulf side and right on the Bayside. It was also dog friendly. Overall we all had a great time.

This is a wonderful house and is completely outfitted with everything you would need to entertain family and friends. The beds were so comfortable and the tv and wi-fi were fantastic.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property! The accommodations were as pictured and very clean! There were however several maintenance issues and a serious lack of communication with the management company. I emailed them several times with no response. Just to let you know for future reference, we made a list of the maintenance issues that we came across:
Two of the three fans on back porch inoperable
Vertical slat on front porch not connected at bottom
Grill leaks
Bathtub in front bedroom stopped up
No light in laundry room
Ceiling over bar needs fixing (looks like you are about to have a leak)
Micro wave very slow
Leak in front bathroom
Faucet in front bath leaks
Patio sofa broken
Master bedroom deadbolt unable to lock from the inside
Again, we really did enjoy our stay! Just wish these issues had been fixed or attended to.

Very nice home
Home is very nice and as described. We did have a lot of rain and the ceiling in the kitchen leaked in one place for a short time after one particularly hard rain. The tank on the gas grill was empty but Vacasa promptly took care of it. Last year, beach towels were provided but there weren’t any this year. We didn’t bring any this year expecting some to be available but not a big deal. There isn’t a boardwalk to the bay. So you have to walk through the grass but it was mowed fairly short. However after the rain water was standing in the grassy area and we had no choice but to use the neighbors boardwalk. I would recommend this home especially if you’re traveling with others and need several bedrooms The kitchen is super nice and has everything to cook. Appliances, washer and dryer are very nice.

Graduation Celebration
Our family had a wonderful time celebrating our grandaughter's graduation from high school. This property, with its 4 bedrooms and 4 baths was perfect for us. Spacious outside decks provided room for all of us to enjoy the house and outdoors.

Relaxing get away
Beautiful home with fabulous views for sunrise and sunsets! Beach access a major plus too! And great grassy area in the yard. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out in the kitchen, dining and living areas. The deck furnishings could definitely use some attention though as well as the grill and same with mattress in the main bedroom. Management also needs to fix the main bedroom toilet to stop it from running. Would stay again if those few things were addressed.

A Perfect Sun Chase Getaway
This is a fresh, clean and comfortable beach house which is quiet and beautifully furnished. It has been recently refreshed and is an ideal get away. It sits on Mobile Sound with gorgeous views of the water. The kitchen is more than adequately provisioned. The TV cable even has hundreds of selections. Vacasa staff were avaiable after hours for a quick text. The house can sleep at least twelve but for the two of us plus our old time pup , it was perfect. We'll definitely rebook.

Great location, pictures of the house online do not do the place justice. The place is much better than the pictures. The beach at the back is on the bay side and it’s great for kids. The house had all we needed. A great addition would be a heated pool. The deck is great place to hangout. Thank you

Amazing location in a stunning home

Ready to go back!
Property was perfect! Loved having 4 bathrooms. Right on the water. Truly not having a dock was part of why we booked it, was afraid my toddler would fall off. Entire family enjoyed it, and would recommend this house to anyone.

Awesome Experience
Sun Chase is a perfect place for your Dauphin Island stay. We loved it, its the perfect location and the view is spectacular. Located directly on the sound and just a short walk to the gulf side of the island. The house was spotless and very comfortable in every way. Very well stocked kitchen, everything you will need for preparing your meals. Awesome media setup, very large flat screen in the family room, and adequate units in every bedroom. DirecTv throughout the home and every unit worked flawlessly. Very good internet service, a feature important to almost everyone these days. The grounds are immaculate, especially the grassy front yard, the lawn service mowed during our stay, beautiful! Recommend Sun Chase very highly, will definitely return soon!

Sun Chase was fantastic. The home is very lovely. We enjoyed our time in Dauphin Island. I do suggest taking mosquito spray. The mosquitoes are terrible!!

Very relaxing stay!
We loved our stay at the Sun Chase! Super clean! Each bedroom has it's own bathroom, the living area is spacious, the kitchen well stocked with all needed supplies and the back deck has a great view of the inlet! Highly recommend!!

5 stars all the way!
Before you read further, please note this is a 5 star home. Having said that, because the property manager is doing their jo correctly they have said everything that is included with the home in the property. So, if you are reading this, let me tell you what is not at the property so you can plan accordingly - there is no dock (the listing does NOT say there is but the dock in the pictures is on neighboring property only), there is a couple of days of toilet paper, laundry soap and paper towels - however there is no aluminum foil, extra trash bags, salt/pepper/spices, cooking oil, ziplock bag (although there is tons of tupperware), beach towels (although there is tons of bathing towels). There is one grocery store on the island which can have most of these things if you get there right after a delivery has been made. I would suggest bring them for sure if you are driving. Amazing and quiet and beautiful island - no fences are boundaries .... just alot of open space with ocean air and fun people all around.
