We purchased a weekend stay as a gift for my parents. They had never vacationed at VRBO property so they were a bit nervous about their stay. The owner was extremely kind and helpful throughout the process, even when we needed to reschedule. Thank you Darlene for your wonderful hospitality.

Very peaceful for a quick getaway

We loved our time at the cabin and the view is absolutely stunning!! Great for a couple looking to getaway.

We visited during the peak of the Autumn season. Our stay was very quiet and tranquil. A newly installed dock was awaiting us, and we enjoyed drinking coffee and watching the sunrises at the waters edge from the dock. The house had many amenities to make the trip more comfortable, including a full kitchen, stocked with everything you need to prepare meals. The back porch also offered a comfortable spot to sit and eat meals while enjoying the lakeside. The water can be viewed from the living room windows, as the lake is less than 20 paces away from the back porch. You have private lake access with a short beach and a dock exclusive to this property. The water depth is gradual and flat and reaches about 6 feet deep at the end of the dock. The house had one private bedroom with a queen bed, a second queen bed is in the main living space, and a loft with beds is also available. The loft can only be accessed by ladder and is more appropriate for children. The home could comfortably sleep a family of 4-6. Everything was kept clean and nicely decorated. There is off street parking for 2 cars. The town of Geneva is relatively close and has plenty of restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping available. Many of the best waterfalls and gorges are within a 45 minute ride and I highly recommend seeing both R. Treman and Watkins Glen state parks, as well as many others. Dozens of wineries are found starting just a few minutes from the home. The road to the cottage is private with just a few dozen houses and road traffic is very minimal. There are very many positives to this rental and I wouldn’t hesitate to return if we ever traveled this way again. It was one of the nicest vacations we’ve taken in many years. The owner was pleasant to work with and responded to emails quickly. The only drawback to the rental is that the bathroom is rather small and could be problematic for someone with mobility issues or if shared by larger families. It’s a small consideration, though the positives far outweigh this drawback. Highly recommended!

What a great peaceful location right on Seneca Lake! The cottage was adorable and Darlene supplied so many essentials that made the stay very comfortable. She was readily available if we had any questions. The location was awesome, near great winery and restaurants. We look forward to a return visit next fall!

This quaint cottage sits on the shore of Seneca Lake on a private road in a lovely neighborhood. It was just right for the two of us. Darlene has provided everything you might need for your stay. We nearly lived on the lovely porch watching boats and birds go by!

My husband and I loved the cabin!!! It was exactly as described. We liked that is was so close to the water, and had comfortable Adirondack chairs to enjoy the view. The location was close to grocery stores and tons of wineries. Great time and we will definitely be back!!! Thank you. 😊

This cozy cabin was wonderful! Very clean with a lot of thoughtful little touches throughout. Morning coffee on the porch watching the beautiful sunrise was our favorite part of our day! Darlene was friendly and easily contacted if needed. We wish we could have stayed longer! Driving in and out was a breeze and it’s a short flat walk from car to cabin. We will definitely stay here again and bring our kayaks next time!

I can't say enough good things about our stay at Cedar Lodge. From the moment we walked through the door, we fell in love with the cabin and the breathtaking lake views. Darlene has stocked the house with more than enough supplies for whatever you may need during your stay. She was quick to respond with any questions and was a pleasure to communicate with. The cabin is spotlessly clean and there is ample seating to sit outside and enjoy the scenery. If you decide to venture around and explore the area, there is plenty to do in the surrounding towns. We visited several wineries and breweries as well as downtown Geneva, Penn Yan, and Watkins Glen during our stay. We had a great time everywhere we went. I would recommend this property to anybody interested in visiting Seneca Lake and I personally hope to return again in the future. Thank you Darlene for sharing your cabin with us!

Our stay at the cute and comfy Cedar Lodge cottage was totally relaxing, as we hoped for. It is located in Kashong Point which is a very quiet area. The cottage is in a level spot with NO stairs; perfect for loading/unloading/launching kayaks. Our very friendly host was nearby if we needed to reach her. Cedar Lodge is near many wineries, breweries, restaurants and towns for browsing.. However, there is nothing better than sitting on the covered porch to watch the sunrise, read, sip your favorite beverage and feel the wonderful breeze.

Cedar Lodge instantly welcomes you and makes you feel at home. Darlene provides everything you might need and more. Coffee, tea, cooking supplies, extra bathroom toiletries, etc. And from the moment you step through the door and see the lake - you'll just fall in love. Every time we left the cottage to go get some food, go to a winery, etc. we found ourselves just itching to get back to the back porch and the little beach and just enjoy the lake. Easily the best part of the whole vacation! Just the relaxation and peacefulness we needed after an incredibly stressful year. There is plenty to do in the area with well over 20 wineries within an hours drive. The town of Geneva is cute and has great restaurants. We were unable to do some waterfall hikes at Watkins Glen due to some rainy days, but we're already trying to plan another trip back! Safe to say after this vacation we've fallen in love with the Finger Lakes and are even dreaming of owning our own Cedar Lodge one day. Thank you for everything Darlene - we really cannot wait to come back!

Darlene met us as soon as we arrived. Cabin had everything we needed, plus some extra treats darlene told us we were welcome to. great location, with easy access to all wineries, breweries, and restaraunts.. Highly recommend this cabin, and look forward to return visit in the fall.

The home was perfect and had everything we needed. The area was nice quite and not far at all to Geneva. We would stay there again in a minute.

The cozy Cedar Lodge was absolutely perfect in every way! Darlene greeted us, gave us a quick tour, and was prompt at answering any messages we had before and during the stay. She is wonderful. The place was spotless and stocked with linens, towels, and kitchen appliances. It was the perfect place to relax. We loved sitting by the lake in the morning with coffee, it was so quiet and peaceful. The view is magnificent and the sunrise was breathtaking. At night we liked to chill and watch netflix. We got food delivered too. We felt safe and the location is perfect. A quick drive to several wineries and downtown Geneva. I believe staying here made the trip to the finger lakes since the wineries close in the early evening. Beds are comfortable! We couldn't have stayed in a better place, and hope to re-visit. 11/10 recommend!

The Cedar Lodge was just what we needed after a long stretch at home due to the pandemic. It was outfitted with everything we needed, and we cooked our dinner meals there every night for a week. We appreciated the paddle board, locale to stores, wineries, and even the local farmstand had pleasant offerings every day. Rustic feel with all the key amenities. Highly Recommend.

This cozy, rustic, lakeside cottage was exactly what my wife and I were looking for! Beautiful views in a terrific location, only a short drive away from several wineries and restaurants. Rain or shine, we enjoyed every day and will definitely return as soon as we can!
