The inside of the house was exactly like the pictures show and was very clean. I appreciate that! The outside matched the pictures as well but they need to update them. We were under the impression that we were in a more secluded area and we were in the middle of a neighborhood. We wanted to be able to sit outside and just look at the mountains but felt like we couldn't bc of having neighbors. We didn't want them thinking we were lookin at them and vice versa. However, it was a very quiet and wonderful neighborhood, the pics just need to show you or tell you in advance. We unfortunately had to cut our trip short due to the smoke from the wildfire at Twin Lakes. We couldn't breathe bc it was settling there in our area of our house. We had planned to spend the day with the new bride and groom. Our daughter and new son-in-law (6-12-24 was their wedding day) but due to having breathing issues from the house (wildfire smoke)... we were not able to as we had no other place to stay. They were going to try and stay there but they didn't want to risk it with the smoke either. So other than losing out on money on a night's due to something beyond our control, we had a beautiful time there and plan to recommend The Fishing House to anyone we know staying in the BV area! Is there any way to get a refund for the last night's stay?

The house was just as described on the Evolve site. Clean and comfortable accomodations with good instructions both on the check-in process and how to work everything in the house. A few minor maintenance items that needed done didn't disrupt our stay at all. We only used the master bedroom bed which had a thick foam mattress pad that took a little getting used to but okay by the end of the week. We will definitely keep this place on our radar for return trips to BV.

This house is incredible. Everything is neatly labeled and organized. It has a cozy mountain feel and the electric fireplace was a wonderful touch on a cold morning. We will be back!!

This was an exceptional listing. The location of the house was great, with clear views of the mountains. We really enjoyed being on the edge of town. House was clean and well stocked! Would definitely stay here again if in the area

This house was a perfect place to stay for our visit to Buena Vista. It was close to the hikes we wanted to do but also close to town so we could run in for meals/ice cream. We also loved the bird feeders the owners had in the front and back yards!

This place was fabulous! We enjoyed the intimacy of the place. It was super clean (thanks Maria) and Maria was around just about every day checking to make sure that everyone had what they needed or if there were any issues. We will happily stay here again. Patrice did an awesome job rebuilding Tommy’s on the Beach!

This was the perfect space for us, very clean, great location - very close to town and gorgeous mountain views right in front of the house. Very easy access, simple instructions for entry and exit instructions. Open space from kitchen into living room. Thank you so much, will definitely keep this property on the list for future trips

This home was so cozy and perfect for our family ski trip to Monarch. The host was very helpful and prompt to answer any questions we had during the stay. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook breakfasts and dinners. She even had coffee and spices stocked. We especially enjoyed the beautiful views of Mt. Princeton in the mornings while sipping coffee. Would stay here again for sure.

They set you up with paper towels, napkins, toilet paper, spices, dishwasher tablets, soaps, laundry detergent/dryer sheets, and even coffee! We were in love with everything and were planning a trip back before this stay was even over. The neighborhood is quiet and the houses are well spaced out. Our contact for the property, Mark, was wonderful and very helpful in everything we needed. We loved the location that Buena Vista offered, we visited nearby Leadville, Salida, and Breckenridge on various days. If you stay at The Fishing House, you will not be disappointed!

Our stay at the Fishing House was comfortable, and relaxing with well thought out amenities for guest. Like labeling the kitchen cabinets to find utensils.
The view of the mountains was spectacular.

The fishing house had everything we needed and even more! Lotion at every sink! Hair care products in the bathrooms! Color crayons for the kiddos. There was even a junk drawer with pens, pencils, tape, etc. This home Was super clean and well appointed. Thank you for the extra effort!!

We enjoyed the hummingbirds, sunrises, and rainbows. The town of Buena Vista is less than 2 miles away with great shops, restaurants, and a well developed riverfront park with hiking trails. Within a 15-30 minute drive, you can find almost any outdoor activity that interests you (horseback riding, rafting, hiking, hot springs, adventure park, ghost town, etc). The house itself was furnished with very comfortable furniture and included any kitchen item that you might need to whip up a meal. We appreciated all of the miscellaneous supplies that we often need but forget to pick up at the store (salt/pepper, ziplock bags, bug spray, etc). Thanks for an amazing week. We look forward to coming back!

The property was very nice and you have everything you need except food to stay forever! Beautiful house just like the pictures. Has all kitchen appliances you need. Beds are comfortable and worked great for our family of 6. This was the nicest house we have stayed in, we would definitely come back. Thank you for letting us stay in your very clean and spacious home
