A proposito di questa casa vacanza
Motorcycle and sports car friendly cabin near Tail of the Dragon

I have stayed and several different places in area but I will say, this is my favorite. Everything was perfect and clean. Great location and absolutely beautiful. I wish I had taken pictures but too busy enjoying the scenery. Got to meet the owners and fell in love with them as well; so gracious. We rode motorcycles to the area and I always make sure the place I stay has covered parking for the bikes and ASPHALT. This place has both. I highly recommend this house. Thank you, Sandi and Darrin, for everything! I will be back!

Charming and Peaceful... enjoyed unplugging. Hosts were more than gracious - they have amazing gardens across the way. Enjoyed Joyce Kilmer Forest, Fontana Dam. Drove Tail of the Dragon, and close enough to Bryson City to enjoy attractions there and that part of the Smoky Mountain National Park. finished our stay in the area driving the Cherohala Skyway... which was amazing... a great vacation!

We immediately were reminded of each of our Grandmas when we pulled in. The place was so sweet and quaint! Everything was clean and the decor was so charming. We really enjoyed our vacation. This cabin was well equipped with everything you need for a get away. The owner Sandi was so responsive to any of our questions. The creek noise will lull you to sleep.

"Tail of the Dragon" stay
Sandi's cabin was a good choice for our Tail of the Dragon trip in the corvette. It's only 30 minutes to Deal's Gap and 20 minutes to Robbinsville that has a very nice grocery and some good options for dining. The cabin is updated, decorated very nicely.and equipped with everything we needed to make our stay wonderful. It is easy to access with paved roads, not far off the highway. Sandi was a very attentive hostess making sure we had what we needed and available to answer our questions. If you want more than just gorgeous scenery and peaceful surroundings, Bryson City is only 25 minutes away with lots of attractions for young and older. Gatlinburg is about an hour for those wanting more action. We would definitely like to return! Thanks for a great stay!!

Great Cabin For Robbinsville Adventures
The house was amazing. The moment you walk in it reminds you of grandma and grandpa's house. There are all kinds of interesting and eye catching little plaques, sayings and handcrafted art throughout the cabin. It is spacious and roomy enough for a mid sized family. And pet friendly too boot. Our fur babies had the best time sniffing around the property. Sandi, the owner, is a very kind and gracious hostess that really wants your stay to be perfect and enjoyable for everyone. There is a fire pit for evening get togethers. The stars at night are amazing. No light pollution so you see so many stars it is amazing. There are so many local attractions to see and Deals Gap and the Dragon's Tail are a short ride away if you ride your motorcycle. There is river rafting a short distance away. And miles and miles of curving and twisting tproads to enjoy. Plenty of lakes and streams if fishing is your thing. All in all, the cabin, hostess and adventures are all a trip to remember. Thanks again Sandi.

Great cabin!!! Felt like home
Relaxing stay. Felt great to kick back and enjoy the quite. The only noise was the ducks across the road but loved the ducks the property owner even let us feed them. Now the husband and I are planning on retiring in North Carolina. Humidity was low and was comfortable our whole trip.

Mountain getaway
We wanted to get away for our anniversary and get away we did! This place is amazing. Clean, beautifully decorated and welcoming. We spent the majority of our time just relaxing and enjoying this space. Meeting Sandi was great. She assured us that had any problem that may arise would be taken care of. Gratefully we had not one issue. Thanks Lails for your kindness. God bless!!

Perfect location for a motorcycle vacation
The house has a mountain feel and it is very comfortable and clean. My sons and I enjoyed the front porch when having coffee and watching the ducks in the stream and talking about our days ride. The owners were very accessible and made sure our time at the Lone Duck was a good time and help us with all of our needs. My Sons and I have decided that this will be our place for all of our future Dragon Rides

Lovely Cabin in the Mountains
I knew from the pictures that this property would be a wonderful place for vacation. However, pictures do not tell the whole story. This small house was full of sweet ambiance, as if a beloved family member was inviting you to come stay with them for a while. It was very cozy and homey with so many lovely touches in decoration and comfort. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen was a fun space to work in. Everything, except food, was provided for our stay. Every contact I had with the owner was answered promptly and with the utmost care and helpfulness. It was one of the most relaxing stays we have had with Vrbo so far. There are fun things to do in the area, but we stayed in for the most part and just enjoyed the space. I highly recommend this rental!

Thanksgiving Blessings
What an amazing experience. The Lone Duck cottage was more than we could have expected. From the time of arrival on Wed around 5:30 pm the lights where on and our home was a beacon in the dark. Thursday, we explored the immediate surrounding, prepared our meals and just enjoyed the day. Friday and Saturday we spent exploring the area and hiking, having fun, puzzles, attempted fishing and just being a family. On Sunday everyone wanted one more day and Sandy made it happen. I cannot even begin to tell you have wonderful our home was, the beds, the smell of the linens and everything. My nine year old grandson and I made the campfire and just had a blast. Thanks to Sandy for her wonderful home and the ability to just truly enjoy our Thanksgiving safely in her clean home and ability to eat all our meals at home so that we felt that we had socially distanced and stayed well. Blessed for being at the Lone Duck. Thanks you, Thank you.

Tranquil mountain valley retreat
We had a lovely time in this cozy mountain valley house. It was near areas for hiking such as the Cherohala Skyway, Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest and the Appalachian Trail in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. We enjoyed the fire pit a couple of nights; we watched the moon rise on Halloween night and listened to the bubbling brook across the road. The kitchen is well supplied with everything you need to cook. We met Sandi briefly, and she is a very gracious host. She had the house decorated wonderfully for the fall. We hope to return for another tranquil stay soon.
