The location is perfect and an easy walk to everything, including a very short walk to the beach. The dedicated parking spot is so convenient. To echo a few of the other reviews, it could use a good deep cleaning. The linens, surfaces, bathroom and floors were all very clean. However, there was a decent amount of spider webs (and some spiders), hair/dust build up in corners and on fans etc. The dishes were hit or miss if they were clean. Overall, we had a great stay and it was perfect for our needs. This is a quintessential OB cottage so if you're looking for frills and luxury, this isn't it but it's perfect for a short stay if you want to enjoy the beach and everything else OB has to offer.

Nice property, good parking, a couple minute walk to the beach and to the restaurants and shopping areas.

This unit is in a great location and a good size. Spacious kitchen for this size unit. Only downside was it didn’t seem to be deep cleaned. There were some stains on and under the couch. A couple of the dishes we tried to use didn’t seem perfectly clean to begin with and there was dust/some hair throughout the unit when we checked in. The shower curtain was also molded.

Small but mighty is this beach cottage. Located two blocks from the beach in one of my favorite San Diego neighborhoods. Ira was a great host - speedy responses when we needed anything. Bed was comfy as well as the pullout couch! Would definitely stay again.

Loved it, was so close to good coffee and walking distance to beach/shops/food. My kids loved it, and the kitchen came with all the basics so that we could cook & stay in and relax.

Great little cottage just a couple of blocks from the beach. It is very small just enough room for 2 adult guests and maybe a couple of small kids. I actually ended up sleeping on the sofa bed. Full size bed in bedroom felt too small. My only negative is parking. The assigned parking spot is behind the cottages in the alley. Everyone parks in the alley so it is a very tight fir getting in and out. Never even tried parking in front. In the 4 days we were here i never saw a spot open up in front of the block. The beach is within walking distance and so are plenty of shops and restaurants.

We had a great time at this cottage! Everything was as expected and we were so excited to be just 2 blocks from the beach. Ira was very responsive and clear about how to enter and exit. We had no issues during our stay and really enjoyed our time.

If you are not in surfing this is not a place for you. Also property was bit run down and poor maintenance. Sad part of our San Diego trip.

The location was absolutely perfect! The bungalow was exactly as described and had everything we could possibly need. The bathroom was a little dirty but nothing a few Clorox wipes couldn’t fix. My husband, teenager and I had an amazing time. Would definitely visit again!!

We loved the location. I didn’t feel like the rental was as clean as I hoped. Landlord was very attentive to my needs. We did enjoy our stay very much !

Easy to stay here. Clean. Close to beach, restaurants, bars, etc. Quiet neighborhood. In the flight path but really didn't bother me.

Everything was pretty much perfect for what we wanted. Two things i would address would be the cleanliness of the unit and the beds. At first glance its clean but as i plugged chargers and moved furniture slightly i must say it was pretty grimy. Behing tge couch, the dining table, and bed side table were pretty gross. I just wiped it down though. The beds are not comfortable. The full in the bedroom sinks pretty bad.the pull out gets stuck and is also oretty uncomfortable. It's just a little old and broken down i think. The 4 year old didn't mund though. The full bed is just way to soft and sunken to get a real goodnights sleep. Outside of that... the location was awesome and the over all comfortablity was great. It was cozy and cute. Easy access to the beach and shops. Relaxed patio area. Plenty of dishes and cookware for a long stay. Minus no ice machine or ice cube trays the kitchen was perfect. We will definitely stay there again!!!

This cottage was perfect for my short trip to San Diego. It was very clean the bed was comfortable the WiFi worked great, short walk to beach and restaurants. I would HIGHLY recommend this awesome cottage.

Although most folks in this neighborhood are relatively young, we had only very positive interactions. Discovering the Dog Beach (at sunset) was great fun for us (& our old dog who seemed to 'return to his youth' as he interacted). Our only problem was a 'key lockbox' which we could not get back into its nook. But all of the interior decorations and kitchen utensil and even leftover coffee grounds were great !

The property came as listed, it is in ideal location and is more than suitable for a small family, would not be big enough for more than 2 adults. Close to the beach and within walking distance to the center of Ocean Beach Great value for money!

Glad I found this little cottage. It is walking distance to everything you need. Coffee, food and the beach !! We talked down to the beach multiple times a day just because we could. Maybe a 5 min walk. Yes you can hear planes but they were not to bad. With no AC it is pretty stuffy but it didnt take long to cool off when we opened all the windows. Parking is tricky. We have a Ford Explorer and if all the cars around spot were there we would have had a problem. Smaller vehicles would have been no problem.

It was okay for sleeping… but not really for hanging out.

A great spot if you're looking to spend time at the ocean or downtown. Clean and comfortable. We had an excellent stay, Ira was easy to contact and was fantastic to communicate with, the place was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, etc. Two things to note: There are a lot of flyovers from the airport during the day, but they end by 11:30 pm and then the area is quiet. Parking can be a little tight if you're in spot #4, but given that street parking is almost non-existent, having a place to park in that area is a huge benefit. Bottom-line: A wonderful place to stay.

Tiny place. Beds aren't that great. No air conditioning. Used ceiling fan at night. But everything else is good.

Stayed here for a tennis a tournament at Barnes. Location was great for the tournament and was a 5 min walk to the beach. Ira was a very responsive and accommodating property manager!!

The property was cute and is located very close to the beach, restaurants and shops. No need for a car. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Really nice and cozy, close to the beach with a few bars/eateries close by. Would definitely stay here again.
