Downstairs bathrooms need to be updated with walk-in showers. It was hard for us old folks to climb in and out of the tub showers. Back Active porch should have been pressure washed and cleaner. Kitchen and den downstairs could use some updating. House is very spacious and 10 bedrooms is very nice. Just not in as good of shape as other houses we have stayed in on Isle. bathroom on the pool level would be nice addition.

"Firefly" was the perfect property for my family's gathering. It comfortably accommodated 20 adults, providing ample space, both inside and out, for guests to hang out. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals and drinks (LOVE the ice machine!), and each bedroom/bath had plenty of towels and linens. The pool and surrounding deck was perfect for lounging, and the ping-pong table was a bonus. East Island Rentals provided clear instructions and was responsive to my inquiries.

The Firefly house exceded our expectations! It was beautiful, and so spacious. Everyone loved that we each had our own spaces that included a full bath, and many opened to a balacony. The house was very clean. The rooms seemed even bigger than in the pictures. We loved that there were two large tables so we all could eat comfortably somewhat together.!The only negative was that the beach had washed away in a storm last fall (we discovered this upon arrival). The long dock in the pictures was gone and there was a very tall wall of sand that most of us could not get up or down on. Because we were there off season for just a few days it wasn't that big of a deal, but had we rented the house for a beach week in the summer that is something we really would've wanted to be told about ahead of time. Thankfully we had the pool heated, so everyone spent lots of time enjoying the pool instead!

The property is at a great location. A short walk to the beach; however, it looked a bit dangerous to swim in but there is a nice pool. The house is huge and can fit large groups the 3 refrigerators came in handy. Kitchen space is ample and there is a second, smaller kitchen upstairs. The audio system should come with instructions. Very close to grocery stores, a butcher and a fish monger; however the prices are very high. One note, it is a shame that house guests don't take better care of the house they are renting. There were many spots on the stone countertop that clearly had a hot pot or pan placed on them. ALso the VRBO and other feed associated with this property were very high. They were as advertised but still high. Also the instructions for taking out the garbage need to be revised. They give two options depending on the location in Isle of Palms. A renter will not know which set to follow. Overall, though, a great house that is very spacious and comfortable. We had a very nice 4 days.

We enjoyed a great stay! Plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the oceanfront beauty. It's great having a bathroom in each bedroom. The rental company was a dream to work with! We stayed at this property in 2022 as well, and I would note that the property could use some love compared to the state of it in 2022 - scratched wooden floors, stained marble in kitchen, some rug stains, etc.

We were disappointed in the condition of the house. It was very tired and need lots of TLC. The couches and rugs were dirty, the bathrooms needed up dating or fixing. For the amount of money we paid, we should have had toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, etc. included. The location, space and beach were all very good.

Beautiful 10 bedroom was great for our annual family beach trip. Great location. But for the size home and the price would've expected more. For example, only 4 beach chairs for a home that sleeps 28? party. Kitchen was underwhelming and disorganized; impossible to find things and simple tools like bottle openers. cork screws and can openers were either missing or cheap and hard to use. Biggest problem for us was lack of handy cap accessible bathrooms and showers. Of ten bedrooms, only 2 had walk in showers, and even those had no grab bars, etc. and all had old, low toilets. For our group of 15 aged 65-98, this was problematic to say the least. It's a great house but maybe more suited for several younger families with kids. .

A great house with so much room for all. Loved being on the beach and also having a pool. Our large family had plenty of room to cook in the kitchen and had plenty of places to sit and eat. The property manager was very quick to respond to fixing things that came up. Recommend for large groups or families.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. There was so much space in the house that even with 25 people, we didn't feel on top of each other. The private access to the beach and the pool were great! There were a few small things that could have been fixed prior to our arrival to make our trip even smoother (hard to open sliding doors, empty propane tank on the grill, missing wheels on dishwasher drawers making it very difficult to pull them out) but overall it was really a great property to vacation with family!

This house was great! We had a microwedding in Charleston and everyone was coming from out of town. We had everyone stay in this house and it was great accommodations for all 19 of us! The rental company was also super responsive and brought us extra dishwasher pods and trashbags with just a text, and allowed an early checkin. My only complaint is for a property this expensive, we shouldn't have to strip beds and move sheets & towels next to the front door upon checkout.The beach and cleanliness of the property was amazing though! The amount of dishwashers and fridges for a house this large was key.

Twenty four of us descended on 110 Ocean BLVD, Isle of Palms, for a first ever family reunion. The house (10 bedroom with ensuite bathrooms) was perfect. We cooked and ate family meals everynight in the exceptionally appointed kitchen with two of everything. The recently renovated heated pool and pool deck was enjoyed by everyone. The short (30 seconds) walk to the beach made access so easy for swimming, walking and a little surfing. All in all it was an awesome reunion made possible by an awesome house that had everything you could want.

Our stay in Firefly on the Isle if Palms was really perfect. Since Ian blew right past, we were able to reunion with our 90-year old mothers, our three children and their nine children and some brothers...and everyone had a beautiful room and plenty of space. The house is in great condition with elegant features, stylish furnishings, play-space everywhere and tons of cooking and serving equipment! The pool is beautiful and was warm enough on chilly mornings to entice the kids in and let them swim for long periods. The beach gave us lots of shelling, tidal pools for play and the dolphins thrilled us with their fishing skills on the point. Each sunrise and sunset was more beautiful than the previous day’s. We loved the entire place and the staff was quick and attentive to the few needs we had. Thank you East Island!

Amazing views great family vacation home with 10 beds and baths. Easy walk to downtown IOP. Pool needed umbrellas to be more enjoyable. Overall great vacation spot we will be back.

Family Vacation 2022
There were 14 of us from California, Az,Illinois & Wisconsin all meeting up with my nephew from the airforce base in Charleston. We filled this 10 bedroom home and made so many memories! Having heated the pool was a great call because it was a cool week. We took several day trips and stayed & enjoyed the beach& home on others. There is a game lounge upstairs which we used for cards & dice at night! Did lots of cooking in the most beautiful kitchen. Huge TV that was enjoyed by my 2 y/o grandson & the guys at night!! Loved having my coffee on the deck in their rockers- so peaceful. The view is amazing. Saw dolphins daily on our walks on the beach! If we needed anything just sent a text and within an hour they were responding & usually taking care of the issue. Everyone having their own en-suite with the bedroom was awesome. Gated pool with a nice wooden deck to the beach was perfect with the little one! The ping pong table also got a lot of use! If we ever go back this way it is a perfect home for a large group!!. We would rent it again over & over! Thank you for sharing this amazing home

Nice property. Had a great time!
Size, layout and location were great. The home could use a bit of attention. Broken pull out couch, lights that flickered, neither the ice machine or the ice maker in the fridge worked and several of the bathrooms could use some new caulking. The mattress pad on the second pull out couch was seriously stained.
That said, we had a wonderful time. Enough bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone in our family. The pool and beach were perfect!

Great location!
This was a wonderful beach house for 10 adults and 6 young kids. Beautiful house and amazing location. There were a few maintenance items that needed attention so we contacted the management company to fix them. However they never got back to us. The lights in the pantry were out and so it was very inconvenient to have a full pantry dark for the week. Was hoping they would have been more responsive.

Beautiful views, worn interior
I booked this home almost a year ago for a reunion of college friends. We were all really excited to stay in this home due to the amazing reviews and great pictures. However, about a month before our trip when I called to pay money (approx. $500) to have the pool heated, since we were going in early March, my complaints started. They informed me, with a few "I'm sorry" statements, that the pool would not be able to be heated due to construction that was happening to the pool. This was an extremely disappointing turn of events as my friends and I (all of us being from the midwest) were really looking forward to swimming and had paid more money for an ocean view home with a pool. After a lot of effort on my part, a lot of advocating for our group, and a lot of excuses from the rental company we were issued a partial refund. However, during the process they did also offer to cancel the reservation all together, which was also an unacceptable option due to the size of my group (20) and the nearness of the trip (a month out). They also offered to cancel when I mentioned writing a review, saying they'd be "nervous we'd write a bad review the entire time we were there". I would think this nervousness would have helped the following, when we arrived we learned from figuring it out on our own (no signs, no communications, etc.) that the ice maker was broken and molding, the refrigerator was not hooked up to a water line, so no ice there either, that one of the microwaves was not working, and on Friday (our first full day there) the pool had chemicals put in it which meant we were not allowed in the water till 3pm that day (again, heard from the pool company, NOT East Island Rentals). Overall the interior is a great space for large groups. It is spacious, well equipped, and nicely laid out. The rooms are as advertised. We were happy though that we were not at capacity as the pull-out sofas and twin bed chairs all had EXTREMELY thin and worn mattresses on them. FInding extra sheets and pillows for the one we did use was also a scavenger hunt. Everything about the house is a little worn and honestly, dirty. From a towel bar that fell off when touched, a grimy soaking tub , to cabinets that have paint chipping and doors hanging off, etc. EIR had a staff member come on site for another issue, when I approached him to talk he did not apologize for the things that were broken, inquire about our stay thus far, or thank us. Customer service is NOT their strength!

Large, spacious vacation home on the water
The property was quite large and served our vacationing extended family quite well (even the parents of young children).
The property felt like a vacation rental home; clean, solid furniture, ideal location, and gorgeous views, yet lacked some of the luxuries of a home (throw blankets, fresh paint, consistent internet throughout the house, and kitchen organization). The kitchen and spacious living room were the primary hubs and the multiple refrigerators were key.
We paid for the pool heating, yet never felt any warm water and it never got past the point of a polar plunge. If it’s winter time, don’t bother.
We did message the property owner about the pool and another minor issue. While responsive, the pool issue was not resolved. It was Christmas week, so likely a tough time to get repairmen on short notice.
I would recommend this home to others as it was a solid home and location.

Great place on IOP
We had a corporate events here and it was a great location and a great property. 10 bedrooms all with king size beds and private baths and the first floor kitchen and living room provided a great area for the gathering. The proximity to the beach and the beautiful sunrises and sunsets completing the package. Very nice!!

Perfect location on IOP
We had several family members from all over the country, some for their 1st trip to the East Coast, who thoroughly enjoyed our week. The house is perfectly set up for a very large group since you have 2 laundry rooms, 2 dishwashers, 3 refrigerators, refrigerators, et cetera.
Being so coast to the inter coastal waterway also provided a large array of different wildlife and fish.
My negative was for the cost of the house the landscaping doesn't look like it's been touched the entire year. The grass had not been cut. The pine straw did not look refreshed in the last several months and there were weeds growing around the pool up through the cracks in the concrete. Large ones.
And the ice maker went out at the house and the gentleman who came to look at it were very nice but they pulled it out on the porch where we hung out every night and it was never repaired or moved from the porch. And the main freezer in the kitchen did not make ice or water.
Rooms were all very spacious. Plenty of privacy!

East Islands Rentals could not have been more friendly and helpful! Would definitely rent from again. The house was beautiful and in very good condition. Only complaint was a few things were broke (refrigerator water and ice, ice maker and microwave). Someone was sent down to look at the appliances but just wrote down the problems and never came back. It was not a big deal but at the cost of these rentals I think everything should be in working condition.

Wedding Weekend
This house worked perfectly for us and our immediate family for our wedding week in Charleston! This house had everything we needed and exceeded all our expectations for a large group of people. Impeccably clean, spacious, beautiful pool, and easy beach access! The company was great to work with, great communication, and would highly suggest this house and company for your next vacation!
