This was the perfect place for our extended family reunion! The house and surrounding property were very condusive to rest, relaxation, and fun! One of our favorite parts was the very well stocked kitchen and the extra large additional refrigerator. We shopped at both Super 1 grocery store which was less than 2 miles away from the house, along with making a Costco run (about 15 minutes away) early on in our stay. We were able to cook all of our meals at the house and that was great! We enjoyed several trips into Glacier National Park, and excursions to nearby lakes on other days. The backyard BBQ and firepit were both key features that we would seek out when looking for future places to stay in other locations. Overall excellent and highly recommended!

We were a group of seven and the house was spacious and comfortable. It was dusty and didn’t supply enough toilet paper or cleaning products but the kitchen was well stocked with amenities. We enjoyed our time there.

There were many property options, and we were thrilled with our choice of Montana Homestead! 3 different generations from 4 different households came together. This home afforded us perfect gathering space for games and planning, and then it provided us with space away from one another. The added bonuses include--hot water on demand (didn't have to wait for it to warm up-loved it!), excellent birding off of the deck (adorable sapsucker has created quite a pattern in an aspen) with a few deer meandering by, hot chocolate, a first aid kit (thank you!), and easy to follow instructions and recommendations. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

Nice house with good yard with many outside activities available like campfire, frisbee golf, etc. Saw deer in yard every day! Upstairs was renovated and really nice. Downstairs had older look but nice enough and functional. Downstairs did get a bit warm but upstairs where most of bedrooms are was plenty cool. Big enough our group of 12. Very convenient to grocery and restaurants.

The Montana Homestead was perfect for our large 4 family 16 people annual trip. Plenty of space for all. In the country yet minutes away from the grocery store. Well stocked with all the essentials. Lots of outdoor games available. Kathryn was quick to respond to questions and very accommodating. The close proximity to the west entrance of GNP was a bonus. Loved the daily visits with the resident deer and their baby.

Montana Homestead is a beautiful property, centrally located and perfectly accommodated our group of 15. The home is warm and well kept - perfect place to come back to after long days outdoor. First level provided the ideal gathering place for all of us to hang out, play board games, cook, eat and the upstairs bedrooms/bathroom were comfortable. Kathryn is a great hostess who made us feel welcomed even before we arrived and she kept in touch with us throughout to make sure we had everything we needed. Amazing place for large groups! You won't be disappointed.

Great Homestead Vacation
We had a wonderful stay. We had eight adults that fit very comfortably and enjoyed the fact that two showers can be done at the same time without running out of hot water. We played the golf course across the street and that was beautiful. Columbia Falls allowed us to hit East and West Glacier because the going to the Sun was closed along with Whitefish, Big Fork and fishing on Flathead lake. We had plenty of room to play board games. One of the highlights were the hearing blankets that warmed the very comfortable beds...awesome feeling after a day of hiking. The showers were enormous and the house was stocked with everything! Great job Kathryn

This house was just what we needed and was easy to settle in and make it our home away from home for the week. The home is beautifully located, yet so easy to get to necessary grocery stores, etc. We drove up and immediately thought "this house is great!" The host was a tremendous help through it all!

Family reunion
We were very impressed with this property. There were 12 of us in total and every one of us were extremely happy. The multiple bathrooms (with on demand hot water) and large bedrooms ensured all were comfortable. The kitchen included extra storage for cold and shelf items which was key for our family to be able to prep and enjoy meals together. The main level does tend to get a bit warm but all bedrooms are kept nice and cool with A/C.

Sharing Montana with extended family
The owners go above and beyond to make sure everything is thought of. The property is beautiful. So much fun by the camp fire and playing games outside. The house is nicely set up to easily accommodate a large group. Plenty of rooms and bathrooms as well as space to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet.
We're intending to come back again. All of us are already excited for our next stay. Thank you!

Five Star Family Christmas
We had an amazing family Christmas! Love the cozy main living room/dining room that held many hours of visiting, board game playing, puzzles, paper snowflake making and laughter. The fireplace to hold all of the stockings and great corner for our Christmas tree made it a home away from home for everyone. The wonderful kitchen made it possible to create all of our meals including our Prime Rib Christmas dinner with ease for all 16 of us! It was great weekend had by all. Amazing property for large groups!

Wonderful!
We enjoyed the house and location immensely. Kathryn was super helpful, we LOVED all of the bathrooms, and the beds were comfy. The only downfall which cannot be helped is the sound from the nearby train track. Fortunately, AC upstairs allowed us to sleep with windows closed and kept the train noise out. Overall, a fun experience and great centralized location that allowed us to explore the area.

Wonderful home and great location.
Kathryn has gone out of her way to ensure that you'll have everything you need. The property is amazing and it's both close enough to amenities and far enough away from the city to relax. Wildlife every morning (deer, turkeys, fox), so get up early and enjoy the sunrise from the porch!

Incredible getaway in a beautiful setting
This house is dreamy. It was a perfect place for my kids to unwind and enjoy nature. There were numerous fun items in the house from Uno to Volleyball, fire pit to wooded area. It was a great way for our family to bond and have an incredible time. And it is also close to Glacier and Flathead Lake so many other fun things to do while staying there. We left wishing we had another week to stay there. Can't wait to return.

Amazing location and amazing hosts!

Our stay started when we landed earlier then originally expected and although our check-in was later that day, Kathryn did everything she could to welcome us ahead of time although we didn't ask for it.
The house is well equipped with everything needed, from games for young children to volleyball net, smart TV, cosy living room, all that you need in the kitchen and much more.
The rooms are lovely with renovated bathrooms all over the house.
Lots of activities for all ages in a short distance drive, which completed this experience which marked as an amazing success.

Extended Family Weekend Getaway
This was an ideal location for our purposes. Some of us came from Ohio and the others, who had the drive with small children, came from Washington. The house accommodated all of us very well, was extremely spacious, and allowed for privacy too. The large yard with lots of fun outdoor activities let the children play and explore safely as the house sits back from the road. We had a great time.

Lovely home and great host
We really enjoyed our stay and Kathryn was very responsive while we were there. We saw deer in the yard everyday. There was a huge yard for the kids to run around and she had lots of activities and games available. There were twelve of us and the house/property had plenty of space so we didn't feel crowded.
The bedrooms & bathrooms have all been updated to the modern farmhouse style. We are so happy we chose this property after an extensive search. The location was great (between glacier NP and whitefish/Kalispell) and we really felt like we were relaxing in Montana, not in a housing development somewhere.

5 Stars is an understatement
I am the male version of "Karen" or "Boomer" so to say I have high and at times unreasonable expectations is accurate. Our satisfaction with this property and the owner can only be characterized as perfectly flawless in every respect.
1. Ms. Price is a a rock star - always there when we needed her, never there when we did not - responsive to all our needs AND our wants. Her Dad and kids the same - a pleasure to visit with, super friendly, and super reliable.
2. The house is perfect for our group. The beds are super comfortable, the house was super clean. The commercial fridge was like a gift from heaven. The commercial coffee pot another big win. 5.5 bathrooms was a blessing. The internet worked well, the heating worked well, the cooling worked well. EVERYTHING WORKED and worked WELL!
3. Location - Felt like we were in the country but everything we needed was less than 15 minutes away.

We also happened to be there on the 4th of July. Our party of 10 is at the campfire on the property when, at about 930 PM the fireworks started going off. To our west we could see the Whitefish fireworks, to our south the Kalispell fireworks and to our east the Hungry Horse Fireworks. They lasted until just after midnight and the show rivaled anything I have seen in Hawaii or Washington DC.
In summary I can tell you that with over 12 VRBO experiences under my belt, this was far and away the best of them all - it will be difficult if not impossible to replicate this experience. Remember too that this kind of excellence was delivered during a time when COVID 19 was rearing its ugly head and making even the simplest tasks difficult for everyone.

Would Recommend!
We had a group of friends stay out at the homestead. The location was great! Close to the mountains, shopping, and had a grocery store just up the street. The check in process was easy. Kathryn had the code set up for us so she didn’t need to be there, and left us some detailed notes about the place.
When we arrived the place was very clean, it was large and more than enough room for all of us. She even left us a few treats which was very thoughtful and generous! Kathryn was quick to answer any of my questions and very accommodating to our needs.
I would 100% recommend this place, and will stay here again when we come back to the area!

Owner was super helpful and easy to work with. House was lovely. Big log cabin with wraparound porch and balconies. great for two families traveling together. Great big kitchen and living space. Comfy bedrooms. Huge yard with toys for kids plus a teepee!! Easy access to glacier and grocery store down the street. Great and easy stay!

Nice place to stay!
We enjoyed our stay in this cabin. Owner was very pleasant and informative. Would recommend this place to others but would make sure they knew that the cabin is not air conditioned as advertised. There are window a.c. units in only a couple of bedrooms. Also, the refrigerator neede a little more cleaning. Other than that, we had a great time!

Charming Family Home
We had a wonderful stay. The house is made for families and provides tons of activities, including a teepee that our kids spent the night in. The family that owns the home is lovely! The location is convenient to Glacier National Park. We hope to stay there again in the future!

Beautiful place
Montana Homestead was beautiful and the perfect accommodations for our family for 4 days while visiting Glacier. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Lots of outdoor games and lots of space for little ones to run around. Everything was very clean with the exception of all the showers/tubs. Lots of extra blankets and extra sheets in all the rooms. The owner of the home was very sweet and made sure we had everything we needed when we checked in.
The only thing that was uncomfortable was the continual presence of the owner throughout our stay. He did tell us that he'd be coming by in the mornings to water the flowers and get the garbage outside and that he had some work to do in the basement. Each day we were there, he was on the property for at least 2+ hours and it was uncomfortable that he was right at the dining room window several mornings while we were having breakfast. We thought it was odd that he told us that he'd be working in the basement while we were staying for only a short time. One of our family members got a bad flu bug and the day she was home sick, he was hammering in the basement for multiple hours.
We use vacation rentals very often and always take excellent care of the properties. It made us all just feel a little uneasy that he was at the home so often.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and the location is the perfect distance to Glacier and Whitefish. The golf course is less than a minute down the road which was really convenient!

The Montana Homestead was ideal from the spacious kitchen, living room area, bedroom downstairs & upstairs. Porch was ideal for after supper relaxing & play area for grandchildren. Backyard was great for playing and pulling a wagon.
Easy drive to West Gacier entrance. Many, many memories!

Fantastic and we hope to return
Loved this place. Great for visiting Glacier NP and well appointed to accommodate large group with kids. Highlights for us included fire pit with teepee, outdoor dining next to grill, badminton and other outside balls/toys for the kids. Easy kitchen to cook in. Great place to stay. Cozy property
Thank you Kristine, David and Elizabeth for renting us Montana Homestead. We had a truly great time. The house was the perfect size with room for everyone to sleep comfortably. The house was well stocked with everything we needed- clean linens, well equipped kitchen, toys for our 10 year old and 2 year old. Huge yard space, loved the fire pit and the grill!
Kristine was very responsive- she was in constant touch with us- even walked over at 11pm to help us with something. Her daughter Elizabeth and our son played together for a bit- oh yes and the fireworks that Kristine got for the kids were a hit.
We are definitely returning to Montana Homestead!

This was a great place for our family get together
Our group of ten spent five days at this home and can't say enough good things about it. The owners were easy to work with and provided toys, a high chair, and a PAC and play for our preschoolers. The sledding hill provided hours of fun for the little ones as well as the adult kids. Other reviewers mentioned that the twin beds in the "kids room" were too small for adults but my sister and her husband (both 5'7") slept comfortably there. There were plenty of towels, appliances, and dishes for our group. We hope to return next Christmas!

Excellent experience despite the rain!
We came together from the individual places where our adult children have settled, for the first family vacation since they left home. We had hoped to spend our time exploring Glacier National Park. But, the weather did not cooperate and we spent half of the time at this home. We had children from15 months to 12 years of age. Most were under 5. Quite a little Wolf Pack. But, the house was completely stocked with everything that we needed! The refridgerator is huge and we all want one now! There are toys and games for every age group. They even supplied the movie we had talked about from the kids childhood! Our kids grew up around a fire pit, and it was just awesome to share fires with the littles! Kristine and Dave were so wonderful to work with and we would not hesitate to book from them again! This house is just perfect for a family reunion! Thanks so much for sharing your home with us and providing such a warm and loving environment for us to be a family again!

Well maintained "Home Away from Home"!
The Montana Homestead is truly a well-stocked, well-maintained "homestead". From the kitchen to the bathrooms to the bedrooms to the outdoor facilities and features, we have never enjoyed such a well-stocked and maintained rental vacation home. The house and grounds are immaculate, roomy and very comfortable. Be sure to leave some time to enjoy the Homestead grounds - - lots of outdoor games and, of course, s'mores heated over the outdoor fire-pit (wood stacked right there). Be cognizant that the smaller bedroom with two "trundle" beds is really for children - - larger adults may not find beds comfortable. This is the way to enjoy Montana!
