The Abbe cabins were absolutely perfect!! The location was unbeatable. We enjoyed our time so much! The kitchen was well-equipped as was the house. The view was gorgeous, and we all loved it! We would love to return next year!

Enjoyed the great location and the three separate living quarters. Hot tub was great as was the use of paddle boards.

What an amazing property with a location that can not be beat! The 3 residences were perfect for our group - allowed for privacy when needed and a great spot to get together to cook and hang out. The bedrooms in the lookout and Abbe cabin are cozy but comfortable. Our teen kids couldn't get enough of the hot tub and we couldn't get enough of the view. The hosts were quick to respond to our questions and were very helpful. Highly recommended! You will not be disappointed.

Amazing cabin right on the lake!! The Separate cabins was nice because it gave different family members their own space along with their own toilets and showers. The main cabin was perfect with kitchen and family room large enough for our family of 8. The deck overlooks the lake and only feet away from the lake itself. The deck has a hot tub, gas BBQ, and plenty of seating for a large family. We highly recommend this place!

The Abbe cabin(s) were exactly what we were looking for in a Tahoe vacation. Charming, warm, and full of character. We had a great trip! The hosts were excellent at communicating as well. All necessary details were shared in advance about conditions resulting from heavy snowfall in the area.

We had a wonderful stay. The three houses gave privacy for each family and a place for coming together. The location, just in front of the lake is unbeatable. The kitchen is complete with all the tools you need for cooking and the beds are confortable. What else do you need?

We stayed here with six adults. It was perfect. Great location and ample room. It would be even better for multiple families with kids.

This property is amazing! A unique layout that accommodated 5 couples and two dogs easily, we all had a great time. Access to the water is super easy and the views for those who stay in the hot tub on the deck are stellar. Communication with the property owners was incredibly timely and pleasant. Check in and checkout instructions were clear and simple. All in all a great stay.

The place is better than described ! We stayed there 3 nights of a 7 night booking due to the smoke from fires nearby. Jessica was amazing and worked with us as it was unhealthy to stay longer. We are in the process of rebooking this wonderful place again.

A great place for multi generation families

We loved how much obvious love was poured into this house and beautiful lakefront property. A great place to push off for paddleboarding, sit and eat lunch with a beautiful view, and play board games we with family. Thank you!

If you are looking to disconnect and have a relaxing stay, this is the place. By the lake, close enough to stores and great restaurants but far enough to enjoy the quiet of nature.

This rental has a great location. Walking distance to Garwoods is an added bonus!

The cabin has so much character, and is even more beautiful than pictured. The property is laid out to accommodate a group such as our extended family so comfortably: one cabin for the teens, one cabin for my sister's family with small children, and a cabin for my husband, the dogs and I. The beauty of the cabin and the setting is so striking. I felt like I was in a wood block painting as I moved from room to room, watching the light through the trees on the lake, and the snow flurries move through. The location is fabulous: I never left the cabin during my stay (except for a walk to Gar Woods for happy hour) and felt as if I were a world away from everything, but it was quick trip to the ski resorts for the rest of my family and to town for a load of firewood or anything else we needed. The kitchen has everything you will need. We hope to return in the summer.

This property is magical - steps away from the lake. Feels extremely secluded. A nice time to be with family and enjoy the magic of Lake Tahoe!

We adored the Abbe Cabins and our time in Carnelian Bay. What a gorgeous location and such a fun place to stay. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.

Cabin worked out great, amazing location! The cabin is split into three separate houses which worked out just wasn’t expecting it to be split up. Fun time and would definitely rent again!

We have stayed here at the Abbe Cabins many many times, and have always enjoyed our stay! We love that it is a relaxed cabin style environment. Three cabins on one property work well for 3 small families or couples. The lakefront house serves at the general area for gathering as the big deck and spa are off the back facing the lake. We enjoy kayaking and the large area for swimming between two docks. It is very close to Garwoods and across the road from Miniature Golf. You never have to get in your car, which to me, is a REAL vacation! Thank you, ABBE FAMILY, for sharing your little piece of heaven with us! We will again, see you soon!

The Abbe cabin(s) were a great choice for our 2nd family vacation in Lake Tahoe. This year we wanted a waterfront location and most options were well outside our budget, but the Abbe cabin fit the bill. It was nice that each family unit had their own space while still being just a few steps from one another. The kitchen was well stocked, beds comfortable, large deck with plenty of seating. We had several questions during our stay and management was very responsive and helpful. We enjoyed the canoe and our seven-year-old was so proud that he caught 11 crawdads (which were returned to the lake, for the next 7-year-old before we departed). Two things required some adjusting. The waterfront area for the Abbe cabin is natural with bushes and trees creating mostly shade and no open / sunny spot for the kids to play in the water while the adults watch while enjoying the sun. However there is a sunny public beach within walking distance down the short path and the kids did play one day in the water in front of the cabin with their wetsuits and water shoes while we sat at the water front picnic table Because it is older, the main cabin is snug and has separate rooms rather than the more open concept in some newer construction. With seven people, we had to adjust a bit. The kitchen can fit only one or two cooks. We all fit around the table inside, but it was quite snug, so on our warm days we chose the picnic table on the deck, as it was more comfortable. We have wonderful memories of our stay at the Abbe cabin and enthusiastically recommend it to other families.

Even thought we have 5 feet of snow and couldn't spend my time outside the cabin, we had a blast indoor in this cosy cabin. Jenny was an excellent host and went above and beyond to help us with our concerns about all the snow and our stay ended up being perfect
