Breakfast was fair

According to booking.com - the venue has a 24hour reception. All the lights were off, no receptionist. One of the security guards eventually came to unlock the front gate and seemed surprised at our arrival. The reception lights had to be hastily put on and after a bit of a search our key was found. The parking and path to our room had no lighting. The WIFI code was no where to be found and all the emergency numbers listed in the room where not working. Eventually we got through to someone at housekeeping who able to supply the WIFI password. Over all the cleanliness was OK, the decor was dated and room was overpriced. At R1750 a night, I would expect much more. The breakfast was fair, probably the best experience of the stay. I would not recommend this venue - they are simply not geared to receive guest outside of a wedding entourage.

Lovely setting, buildings and gardens

You can clearly see that buildings and surroundings needs maintenance. Our room wasn’t too bad, but needs a thorough spring clean! Door handles and hinges were either broken or worn out. Dust all around. We noticed that breakfast was only served between 8-9 am, however when we arrived just after 8 no juice or toast ready. We enjoyed the luxury family room, but really feel it is over priced.
