Sweet apartment with a great ocean view. Full kitchen was nice. Comfortable place. Easy bus ride to MA park and to the beach.

These place is perfect for two adults! The views from the balcony are awesome and we loved starting and ending our day out there! It’s also so close to restaurants and attractions, very convenient!

Such a great room with a gorgeous patio view! The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is spacious but the highlight is the outdoor patio! We saw all the exotic birds, monkeys, butterflies and gorgeous sunsets while relaxing in the hammock just outside the bedroom. It’s a beautiful view of the ocean and walking distance from so many restaurants, pharmacy, grocery and even the Espadilla beach, if you don’t mind a decent hike. The property owners and manager were very attentive. It was perfect and I hope to come back again!

Would give 4.5/5. Great view and outdoor seating. Felt clean, comfortable, and safe. Very much as described. Easy communication with Henry. He was able to help with all our questions, including getting a taxi for us to the airport. We used the bus to use the public beach daily. We ate at the local recommended spots, which were good. Enjoyed having a mini fridge for beer, snacks, and left overs. A/C worked great!
Only downside is it could use some updates for the cost (mainly the bathroom) but I didn't think this was a surprise (this is easily seen in the pictures online).
Overall, would come again for sure!

Great place for a nice couple's retreat in the jungle but right in the heart of Manuel Antonio. Although a bit dated, we were comfortable at this place. Henry, the caretaker was always available for help or recommendations. Bed would be due for a refresh - but otherwise we enjoyed our time spent here.

Pretty basic: bedroom, bath, outside covered deck, coffeemaker, small fridge. The view is stunning, it’s situated really well on the top of the hill with lots of really good restaurants all around. We ended up taking the bus down to the beach one day just hanging out, renting an umbrella and lounges and drinks and swimming reading. One day by the pool painting, reading, swimming. We did a fun catamaran cruise with snorkeling and dinner. Not too big about maybe 20 people, great crew, good simple meal. Henry (the VRBO property manager helped arrange it.

Great Views Off Outdoor Living Patio Area, Small Geckos and Few Bugs, Nice That CR Has Few Flys or Mozzies In Feb.
But Feb I Find is Now Too Hot For Me, 32c Daily With Almost No Breeze on Balcony, Not a Place One Can Stay All Day
What The Place Requires is Investment in a 42" Smart Television, I Was Sick a Couple Days and Would Have Enjoyed an Option of TV "With English" Ability...Small Owner nvestment???
AC Worked in Bedroom Thk Goodness
Whole Property is Very Dated
I Suppose For Price, Its The Norm for 2 Star Accomidations Found Most Places in CR
Would Not Stay Again, Because I Prefer and Better Update With Newer Standards....Cheers

Wow - Richard, Anna and Henry, the A team! So sweet and helpful every step of the way! I didn’t have an itinerary and mentioned it to Henry he proceeded to make every reservation and made my trip in Costa Rica THE BEST!! Just WOW!!
The room was perfect! Love the outside living area, very private and I could see and hear all the birds and animals including Toucans and Mcaws flying bye. Gorgeous view of the ocean and the rocks. Loved taking my shower inside but feeling like it was outside that was another bonus I didn’t expect.
The location was perfect It is close to wonderful restaurants, store, bus stop…
Thanks again if I ever go go Costa Rica again I will definitely want to stay there again!

The property managers/owners were very helpful and responsive. The view is stunning and the area is very walkable. Everything you need is closeby. I never used the pool, but instead I walked down to Ecotica to use theirs which was in the shade (20$ daypass). The indoor outdoor shower was wonderful but the private patio area was the best part. The view from the hammock was beautiful. Although you are in the jungle there are barely any bugs due to the lizards eating them all. I loved having them in my room and balcony ready to eat anything that flies. I also saw monkeys in the trees nearby. Richard’s tips were spot on too.

The property is very much as described. It has beautiful views and a great outdoor sitting area. The property manager was helpful in giving suggestions. The bed is small and the pillows are pretty flat, but the mattress is pretty comfortable. The unit could use some updating overall, but it was great to have a place with hot water, air conditioning, and so close to everything.

I would give it a 4.5 rating if it was possible instead of 4.
The apartment has a big patio with great ocean view. Was walkable to all the places I wanted to eat. To go to the beach or the national park, I took the public bus, which was reliable and cheap, and the bus stop was very close to the apartment.
There is a supermarket and a bank next door which turned out to be very convenient. It is also close to a bar that has live music every evening, and you can clearly hear it from the apartment -- that can be a negative if you want peaceful evenings/nights like me.
Apartment was clean and had A/C (very much needed when I went there in May). Does not have a kitchen or even a kitchnette / microwave, so don't expect to cook or heat leftovers. There is a coffee maker which works well.
The owner, Richard, provide a long list of tips and recommendations for things to do, places to eat, which was very helpful!
All in all, I enjoyed my stay.

One of the best views that you're going to find. Walkable to several great restaurants. Great place to spot wildlife.

Head to Manuel Antonio locate agua azul on your right hand side and your there. Henry will give you your villa # easy as that. Excellent location down the path and to the right is a restaurant and to the left is super market next to it is a bank very convenient. Down the road is beautiful beaches and national park. We stayed 4 nights had time to do everything on richards tips list (which we highly recommend) and then some plus take in the excellent view from the balcony every evening. Walking distance from great food with live bands or minutes away from a nature hike away from it all. Great place, great food, great people. Would highly recommend

Our stay was memorable for many reasons. Foremost was the attention from Richard & Anna to assure any problems that arose were dealt with in a timely manner with the property manager Henry’s assistance. Cafe Millagro for breakfast & Mariposa Restaurant were highlights. Richard & Anna recommending Dennis Reyes to drive the 5 hrs from Liberia went smoothly & he was such a delight . We trusted Epic Adventures for all our tours— RainMaker, Manuel Antonio National Park, Catamaran Sunset cruise ! Hope to return next year with family to have them experience Pura Vida !

We spent three days in Manuel Antonio I’ve been there many times before and we’ve always stayed in different rentals.

As advertised…View was outstanding, bed comfortable and a/c worked great. Felt very safe and secure, convenient to buses, banks and stores. Worth mentioning are there are a good number of stair steps from the pool to the room…provided quite the work out! All in all very happy with our stay and would definitely stay again.

What a wonderful place to view the ocean and animals! Every morning you can hear the howler monkeys move, scarlet macaws grace the sky, and you can take a siesta in the most comfortable hammock ever. Henry Guzman was most accommodating and helped me figure out the hot water which was most appreciated. The apartment is so close to many things including our favorite restaurant Emilio’s Cafe. This is a perfect location and great place to relax and unwind. Can’t wait to come back!

The property manager never contacted me with information I needed to check in. When I arrived the owner of the restaurant next door contacted the property manager for me and helped me get checked into the property.
The view is beautiful and there is a lot of character in the rental. The bed is very uncomfortable and the bathroom was dirty.
The photos need to be updated. The hot tub in the pool area has been removed.

Anna and Richard provide a beautiful and convenient location in the Manuel Antonio area to easily access all the fun activities to enjoy nearby! The national park and local free beach are right down the road and very easy to get to by bus. The vacation property is right next door to both a drugstore and a delicious restaurant called Agua Azul. You will find all the essentials you need in and around the property!

This is like the best place for couples, and people who like chill spots. Wish we stayed more days. Neat indoor outdoor shower, toilet “cold water only” great Air conditioning. Also the porch has the most amazing view and an extremely Beefy Hammock. I’m 6’8” 300lbs and fell asleep out there a few times at sunset. Super cool you can walk the whole town from the unit. Great location for meals, older people bars with classy Local music and chill atmosphere. Definitely different calming vibe compared to Tamarindo or Jaco.

We had a great time at Richard and Anna's place. The apartment was clean and cozy, and the deck was a perfect place for views of jungle and ocean. Imagine watching the sunrise/sunset with a beverage or relaxing in the hammock while birds fly overhead and monkeys play in the trees... Good restaurants within walking distance and a short drive to parks and beaches. There is some noise from local restaurants but the apartment is still super private. Would book again for sure!

Richard, Anna and Henry are amazing! The room is clean and conveniently located to all things in Manuel Antonio! Highly recommend.

Easy to rent, we had a little issue with the host on arrival. The cooking arrangements were minimal- just a small refrigerator and a coffee maker. Great places to eat in the area though and the view from the deck was fantastic. Quite convenient to Manual Antonio National Park.

We stayed in Richard and Anna's villa for a week and most definitely would love to come back. The property manager Henry was there anytime we needed anything. The location was awesome not quite as close to the beach as we had wanted but a short taxi ride and you can be there no problems. Everyone in Manuel Antonio were super nice and helpful even patient with our language barrier. We made lots of memories with lots of new friends! We celebrated our 1 year anniversary/honeymoon here and would recommend it to other couples looking to retreat from everyday life for awhile!

Our stay was EXCELLENT! The Area was great for catching a taxi or just walking to local sites for sightseeing and dining!
Richard and Anna were great Host! They were very communicative before and even throughout our stay, even checking in to see how our stay was going. The room was very quaint and clean, but most of all private. Just what we needed and looked for for our Honeymoon! They left a very detailed booklet with instructions, suggestions, and recommendations that was very helpful and influenced a lot of our trip. We would whole heartedly recommend booking with the Hagopian. When we visit CR/Manuel Antonio again, we will definitely book again ourselves if available!

The location is ideal, walking distance to everything we needed. You are up the hill from the national park, providing an INCREDIBLE view, but can easily take a taxi up and down. Would for sure stay again.

The check in was seamless, and the views were amazing! It’s in a great location as well, about a 20 min walk to the beach, and 1 min walk to restaurants, etc. On site parking too. A really great stay!!

Hands down the best place we stayed in Costa Rica. Convenient to everything in Manuel Antonio, owner provide TONS of info ahead of time about the town and services available. Super close to the National Park, great restaurant (Agua Azul) and a grocery store right next door. Beautiful beach nearby (short drive or cab ride, pretty good walk and all uphill back). Oh yeah, and the view. Be prepared to be blown away. We ended up spending a lot of time (breakfast every morning, afternoon siesta time, nighttime) on the patio. Place is super clean, local manager very responsive. Beautiful pool on property. We stayed 4 nights and were able to do everything we wanted in Manuel Antonio. Use the recommended guide for the park tour and zip line company, both were great. Recommended sunset boat ride ended up being a big ol' booze cruise, not our scene, but still a good time. It was a holiday weekend, but never felt crowded. There is live music across the street at the Jolly Roger Thurs/Fri/Sat that was loud enough to "enjoy" from our patio. There's a small low stakes casino there as well where we left a small donation to the local economy. Fortunately the music ended at 10p each night, so not that big of a deal and the bands didn't suck. As for the property, if we ever get back down that way we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else!

We went to Costa Rica for a Wedding Celebration. There were about 30 people in our group that stayed in different places all of the town. Out of all of the other places only 1 place was nicer than this one. Unfortunately, that place was $6,000 a night lol.
The place is clean, most of it is outside with a great hammock and was very relaxing at night. Also, a big plus about this property is it is at the top of the hill. The reason that is beneficial is everywhere you go is downhill from you. Then the bus stop is close to the place which provided great ease of access to the beach. We would take the bus down to the igloo hotel, then walk right to the beach from there which was much quieter than all the way down into Manuel Antonio. I highly recommend this place to anyone going to Costa Rica, you won't find anything close to this quality for the price.

We had a nice time at Anna and Richards villa! The view is breathtaking, everything is close. Walking distance to all restaurants. A few beautiful beaches 10 minutes drive. You don’t need a car. A bus or a taxi is easy and hustle free. I was with my 6 year old son. We had an amazing time. Highly recommend this place!

The view is amazing. The closet has games to play. That's the good parts. The pool is not opened. Listing says the pool os opened. When I brought it to their attention they said it was last minute, then told me they knew a week before my rental. Had to argue for a price adjustment that was denied, then accepted a day later. Really would have preffered to pay extra and have a pool. Also would have preferred to not have to argue about being misled like I was wrong. Also thought there was a problem with the shower and was told someone would come look at it, but that never happened. I asked if I had to be there for them to come, no response. Made me feel like they weren't really coming. In all fairness, I was wrong (shower worked fine) and I apologized. Bed could be more comfortable. If you don't need the pool, don't have any issues and aren't picky about your mattress, this could be a great place for you.

What a great little place with amazing views of the Pacific Ocean. Hammock was perfect on the large outdoor veranda. You could see capuchin monkeys, toucans, macaws and hear the howler monkeys! Was very clean. Loved the indoor/outdoor shower. Great communication with easy check in!
2.5
Anna and Richard are wonderful hosts. The room was very comfortable and we never worried about security issues. There is a huge private veranda with a magnificent view of the sea. It has large comfy couches, tables, lights a fan, and plants. We spent a lot of time out there. The caretaker, Henry, was very nice and also helpful. There was a small problem with the wifi which was fixed as soon as I told Anna and Richard about it. Wonderful restaurants literally just steps from the unit. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

This place blew me away. I was already excited to stay there based on the photos but the photos don’t even compare to this condo. Richard & Anna were extremely helpful in responding and supplying all the information I needed. They answered all of my questions quickly and helped make my first time in Costa Rica a lot less stressful. Thanks again! Pura Vida
