Waterfront Home At The End Of An Out Of The Way Dead End Street
Splendida casa sul lungomare, situata sulle rive del lago Memphremagog, che è un lago lungo 35 miglia, profondo oltre 350 piedi che si estende da Newport Vt. A Magog Canada e offre incredibili viste del tramonto dal nostro punto di osservazione. Tutti i laghi del nord-est del Regno sono fantastici a causa della mancanza di traffico in barca, ma il lago Memphremagog è qualcosa di speciale: è più grande di tutti gli altri laghi messi insieme, senza più traffico navale di qualsiasi altro lago, quindi è molto più pacifico.
La nostra casa ha un ampio soggiorno con camino a gas; zona pranzo con 3 ulteriori posti a sedere nella cucina, per 11 posti a sedere in totale; sistema audio surround; una cucina ben fornita di elettrodomestici e utensili; 4 camere da letto con materassi top di gamma; 2 bagni; aria condizionata centralizzata; una lavatrice e asciugatrice; un ampio ponte con accesso diretto al nostro molo di 92 piedi sul lago, un ponte sul lato inferiore del lago e un ponte sul retro della casa - il tutto fornito con mobili da giardino.
Molte attività all'aria aperta includono: nuoto, canottaggio, ciclismo, pesca, pesca sul ghiaccio, kayak, motoslitta, sci di fondo, racchette da neve o semplicemente appendere vicino alla buca per il fuoco e guardare le stelle la sera.
Solo una breve corsa lungo la nostra stradina è una pista ciclabile che corre lungo il pittoresco lago fino al confine canadese. Non dimenticare i tuoi passaporti perché, una volta attraversato, troverai una rete di piste ciclabili da esplorare con splendidi paesaggi e luoghi per fare picnic lungo la strada. A circa 20 minuti di distanza troverete Jay Peak Resort: sci, parco acquatico all'aperto, golf e pista di pattinaggio, e un fantastico giro in gondola fino in cima anche in bassa stagione.
C'è anche un numero di ottimi ristoranti nella zona. L'elenco è in continua espansione e abbastanza vario: ti daremo suggerimenti se vuoi.

You won't find a better spot on the lake. Close to town. Great house set-up for families. Communication with owner was excellent.

This property had the best lake view and the home decorations were charming in every room. We felt like we were at a movie set. Also, children and pet safe. We cooked a lot so we had everything you need to make delicious meals. We would like to see updated bathroom features and a bit less dust. My allergies kicked in. Otherwise it's a great place. Hopefully next time we see Mephre swimming in the lake!

This lake house is exactly what we hoped it would be. It has a warm rustic feel that you can't help but relax in. The house is well equipped.
Now let's get to the BEST part, The Lake. We spent 3/4 of each day sitting on the dock facing an absolutely wonderful lake rimmed by nature's gift, MOUNTAINS.
The lake is big; however, very few boats were seen. Daily we watched Osprey fishing, Merganzers with 11 kiddos, Kingfishers, the list goes on.
Be kind to yourself...experience this lake house; your mind will thank you!

The house was perfect for our long weekend visit to Newport VT. The view from all the big windows in the living room was stupendous!

Great location, well stocked home with canoe and 2 kayaks ready to use. The vista of the Fall foliage couldn’t have been better. Kitchen had everything you could need including seasonings and even condiments in the fridge. The waterfront yard is completely fenced, AND still comfortable and attractive, amazing for families with young children or dogs.

“Home away from home”...we stayed at this beautiful and fantastic place for the fourth time. We celebrated my parents 60th anniversary with our local relatives. Thank you Dave and Cindy for sharing such an outstanding place. I highly recommend this place for relaxing and be it inside or outside which has the most beautiful view in Newport. We loved the location. The property, town and area are all well maintained. The house had the most comfortable beds. The location was perfect for us. Kids swam, we went for bike rides and even to Canada for lunch one day. Highly recommend this property!

The home is brighter than the pictures show which was nice. The kitchen was very well stocked. The master bed was comfortable. Prompt communication with owner. We enjoyed the kayaks available for use on the lake. The property is located in a quiet neighborhood and is great for walking. Unfortunately the bikes were not in good working condition during our stay but we notified Dave so hopefully this can be rectified for the next renters. Thank you for sharing your home - we enjoyed our time there and in Newport VT.

This property is very well located and offers many awesome components: loaded to the max with towels, sheets, blankets, outdoor and indoor activities, kitchen supplies... you will not miss anything. Impressive. However, it needs a professional deep cleaning. Downstairs is the part of the house that need some attention like having a dehumidifier to remove some dampness, and a nice flooring instead of the short hair carpet would make it less smelly and fresher. It has been the 2nd visit to this place with family members and in general it was great for our needs, just wish the downstairs was more appealing in odor and cleanness. Thanks

This is our 3rd year on the lake and it was a memorable one! Once in a lifetime rain raised the lake level but Dave’s deck stood above it all! Swimming, biking, kayaking, walking, and running to Canada were just some of the highlights. Our grandsons, teens, and adult children all had an amazing time in this wonderful setting. Our owner is very responsive and goes above and beyond to get his house ready to be our home for the week!!

The most relaxing family vacation yet! We had plans to go hiking, explore area, etc. but once we settled in we couldnt pry ourselves away from the lake! The house is beautiful and the views are stunning. We would love to come back during other seasons!

We spent a week in this beautiful home visiting family. The house has everything you need was clean and had the most beautiful view of Lake Memphremagog (I took me all week to get the pronunciation right!) The neighbors were very friendly and the whole atmosphere of Newport and Derby was just amazing. The host is very informative on how to use everything on the property. We hope to visit again in the fall.

Had a great time visiting with family that live in this area. Accommodations were good. The area is beautiful on Lake Memphremagog. Sunsets were spectacular. The town of Newport, VT has all of the amenities required for a good time.

Title says it all. Went up for a weekend trip to Jay peak and it was a quick drive. Decent food in town. Great house. Lakefront view was so sick. Would be nice to go to in the summer as well

We stayed for a winter swim festival. Dave was very patient with all my questions about the place (I wanted to make sure we could warm up at the place as we were outside the whole day). He helped us with the heating when it went a bit wonky and was really responsive throughout the weekend.

Place was awesome and perfect for the group we had. Beds were comfortable and it was a beautiful view of the lake. Fit 4 cars great. The neighbors were friendly too (said hi to us from their four wheeler on the lake). My only wish was that the firepit was cleared out from the snow, but its pretty close to Canada so it was understandable. Great time!

Absolutely loved this place! The view of the lake is stunning and being able to look out the massive windows while sitting by the fireplace was so cozy. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen is very well stocked. The backyard is fully fenced in which is perfect for guests bringing their dogs and the walk around the neighborhood is peaceful. Less than 30 min from the Canadian border for those wanting to explore up there for a day.
Overall very happy with our stay here.

Super relaxing and beautiful scenic views. Great fishing. Only down side is if the owner is playing for a cleaning service, they need to get another one. Needs a deep cleaning.

The location is at the end of a dead-end right on the water, just as the photos show. The house is warm, quiet and cozy. The kitchen is fully equipped (pots, pans, baking dishes, spices) and it was nice to have both coffee maker and keurig as well as a burr coffee grinder. (Thank you for the pint of half and half waiting in the fridge!) The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of sheets, blankets and pillows. We didn't run out of towels either. Having a washer & dryer is a plus if you are staying for more than a long weekend. Sorting the trash wasn't as big a deal as some have posted. I would have a little more clarity if cardboard means only cardboard, or if it includes paper too (we recycle at home too and wasn't sure if paper/newspaper/leaflets were considered trash?) There were some dust bunnies in some of the corners and those pesky cobwebs on the outside windows, but nothing that isn't expected in a lakeside location. There is a really cool and friendly kitty that comes to visit (he does have an owner just up the street). Having the opportunity to bring our dogs with us was wonderful. The fenced in yard was a huge positive in our books and of course responsible pet owners should always clean up after them. Overall it feels like a cozy home when you walk in and you quickly begin to feel at home here. When the occasion arises again for us to be in the area we would definitely return. Thank you Cindy and Dave.

This was our third year in a row we stayed here...as always, Dave made sure our stay was enjoying and relaxing. My 80 plus old parents truly love this place...the view is so beautiful. The rental property is at a perfect location. We had some of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever seen. We enjoyed kayaking and canoeing and appreciate that the Host made those things available for us. The house was roomy and comfortable. We would recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing family vacation.

Great Summer Vacation
This is our second year at this property and we had another amazing week with three generations of family. Swimming, kayaking, crayfish hunting, walking, bike riding, farmer's market, the list goes on! The house was a great with everything we needed to have a good time!

Amazing place
We had a great 5 days at David’s house. It was a relaxing place to get away and just enjoy the views of the lake. The house was in excellent shape and everything had proper instruction on how to use things like the TV. Great place to stay and enjoy a quiet getaway in a nice little town.

Beautiful rental right on the water. You can’t beat the view. We went kayaking and canoeing, grilled out on the deck and enjoyed the waterfront views. I would book this place again.
