Our family enjoyed a calm and quiet getaway in this unique home in a beautiful setting where we saw far more deer than people.

We enjoyed the space, cleanness, and the nature environment of the house. We live in the country, so for us this was perfect especially having the view of water. (Different for us).

Absolutely loved our stay. Beautiful location, owners had all necessities for the kitchen plus additional clean supplies, linens, and toiletries. The only thing that would have been better is if there was better access to the lake, which we knew in advance may be a problem due to weeds.

This property was prefect for our family vacation! The house was very clean and very roomie. The fire pit has a very nice view of the lake and pretty when the sun is setting. We rented a pontoon on the lake for a day, the water was prefect.

we had a great time, place was clean and it had all the things we needed to cook our meals. The owners were johnny on the spot when i called. We would definitely rent again. Thank you for a good vacation...

This cottage has a beautiful out of the way setting. We enjoyed seeing all the wildlife including a Bald eagle! The cottage was very clean and had plenty of room for our family of 6. The kitchen had the appliances and dishes needed for our meals. As a family which loves to fish, we could not confidently get our boat to the dock because it is relatively shallow and there is a lot of rice grass to maneuver through. However the boat launch was not too far away and never busy so it did not deter us much. Being able to have the whole area to yourselves was so nice and we loved our stay!

We really enjoy the lake house cottage at Hamlin Lake. This year was our third stay there. The cottage sleeps 8 very comfortably. We have a very large bedroom upstairs with its own full bathroom. There are two bedrooms separated by a bathroom downstairs. The kitchen has everything a person needs with plenty of room to work. The family room had plenty of seating area and a large flat screen TV and games to play. We enjoyed the fire pit outside with seating around it. The addition of central air last year was a wonderful bonus. There is plenty of privacy on this very large and spacious lot at the end of a road. It’s only about 15-20 minutes to Lake Michigan and the Ludington State Park or Downtown Ludington for shopping or restaurants.

We’d been to Ludington many times before but always at a friend’s place. This was our first time renting a property and it was a delight. Nicole was responsive to my many questions, the house was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. It was “away from it all” and beautiful. A bit of a bumpy gravel road to get there but we’ll worth it! We would definitely rent again!

This was our second stay at this gorgeous property, and it was wonderful! We had beautiful weather this year and I was able to spend time outside everyday reading, knitting, looking at the lake and just enjoying all the abundant wildlife. The highlight - a hawk swooping down into the yard and making off with a chipmunk for lunch:) The house itself is amazing! The floor to ceiling windows overlooking the lake in the master bedroom are wonderful to wake up to. And since it's on the second floor, the trees surrounding the house make it seem like you are in a tree house:). Beautiful views! We had a wonderfully relaxing time and are looking forward to coming again sometime in the future:)

We had a wonderful time. The property was great and not too far from Ludington. I was a bit disappointed with the lake access. The walk down to the dock was a little treacherous. Needs a few steps. We brought a fishing boat but making your way to the dock was too weedy, so we didn't keep it at the dock. Boat lift was no longer usable. I had envisioned the family playing in the water, but again...too weedy. House was wonderful and we had a great vacation!!

The views are awesome! Little ways out from Ludington and the beach but was quiet and peaceful! Saw wild turkeys, deer, an eagle and many other birds. Great communication with the owner. Very clean and spacious!

This was our second stay and more enjoyable than the year before. The Owner, Nicole Stowe has added Central Air Conditioning. It used to be cooler UP NORTH. With climate change- not any more! This has been such a blessing for those of us who have allergies, too!

We loved our week at the lake house! The house is beautiful... some of the areas have been updated since the photos. For instance, the kitchen has a dishwasher now (I don't believe that was the case in photos). Also, the bed upstairs and one downstairs are both kings, plus one queen downstairs. The house is older but many areas have been updated. The bathrooms haven't been updated (yet). The house is spacious and was perfect for our small extended family to stay together. Our adults took bedrooms and kids slept in the living room (there was plenty of space for them either in the master bedroom or in the living room). The boat lift is no longer installed. The owner left 4th of July decorations, some grilling materials, basic cooking supplies, laundry detergent, etc. The house is VERY well stocked! It's a 20-25 minute drive to Lake Michigan. We loved the seclusion and outdoor space. Overall, we had a great time! The only thing that would improve the stay would be to update the bathrooms and add a window AC unit upstairs (it stayed pretty hot there). Still a 5 star property for us!

My husband and I spent 2 weeks at this beautiful property and it was wonderful! We were looking for a laid-back vacation this year, and this was perfect for us:) The house was wonderful ~ comfy king-sized bed in a master bedroom with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the lake. It was such a beautiful view to wake up to each morning! We had several days of rain and I settled myself into the swivel rocker right in front of the windows to read so that I had a beautiful view whenever I looked up from my book:) The kitchen had everything we needed for preparing meals, and the dining room, with its many windows, was a delight to eat in. I also spent a lot of time outdoors on the nice days. There are so many different types of birds that I kept my binoculars with me whenever I was out:) The most exciting sight ~ following a bald eagle as he flew down the lake and watching him grab a fish out of the water and fly away. We also saw deer, a raccoon and many snapping turtles that decided to lay eggs while we were there. We had a wonderful time, and I think it is safe to say that we will be back again:)

Very clean and very nice place to stay. Had a great time staying here. the only thing that would of made it better was if the path to the dock on the water was mowed down better and or if stone was put down my 76 year old father had a hard time walking the path. But overall this is a great place to stay
