Gorgeous Mountain Home with 360 Mtn. Views! Durango Mtn Resort across the street
Costruita su misura e premiata casa di montagna con quasi tutti i comfort che potresti immaginare o sperare! Questa casa è nata come il nostro primo progetto di costruzione. Dopo che la casa fu finita, la adorammo così tanto che decidemmo di tenerla come seconda casa. Viviamo a Phoenix ed è solo un disco lontano da tutto ciò che una grande città non è. Veniamo spesso e abbiamo incontrato tanti nuovi amici. Durango è una città semplice e tranquilla. Inizialmente pensavamo che fosse semplicemente fantastico per gli sport invernali, ma l'estate è un segreto meglio custodito. Il clima durante l'estate è caldo e soleggiato, con più possibilità di fare attività all'aperto di quante ne avrai in una settimana. L'inverno offre una delle migliori stazioni sciistiche per famiglie dall'altra parte della strada. (Navetta gratuita da e per il resort.)

Everything about our stay at this property was outstanding — from the property manager’s pro-active communications prior to our arrival to the property location to the property itself. And tons on snow to top it off. We will definitely be back.

This beautiful Durango home is just as pictured in the listing! We spent several hours every day relaxing on the oversized back patio, enjoying our meals while taking in the breathtaking unobstructed views of the mountains . When inside, we appreciated that this was by far the cleanest vacation home we have stayed in. This home had everything we needed to have a great week with our family. We would definitely rent this home again and recommend it to friends and family.

This beautiful Durango home is just as pictured in the listing! The house was great for our family, lots of space and in a beautiful location. There were so many activities to do in the area from hiking, water rafting, horseback riding, kayaking, mountain biking, plus all the fun things at Purgatory Mountain resort. Silverton is very close and the scenic drive is very nice. Everyone had a great time!

This house is fabulous. It has everything you need & is right across from the lifts. The shuttle was very convenient & came as soon as called. We had 3 families staying & had more than enough room. Karen was very helpful with any questions we had. Highly recommend this home! We rent from VRBO often, this has been my favorite so far.

Magical White Christmas
This homesite is perfect for the large family wanting great location and personal space. We wanted a White Christmas for our children and grandchildren and Purgatory gave above and beyond. This home is directly across the road from Purgatory Ski Resort with free Shuttle Service to and from resort.
Karen greeted us and gave us a tour of home and showed us all the amenities.
Large kitchen with every item imaginable. Bedrooms large with extremely comfortable beds.
Bathrooms with heated floors and amenities as well.
The view from this home was exquisite. We had a view of the ski resort and surrounding mountains. Enjoyed watching skiers come down mountain.
This home was like being in our home for Christmas.
Thank you Ken & Donna for sharing your home with us and Karen for being there for any need we had.

This is the Purgatory Rental you want!
My family and two other families stayed here for Presidents Day weekend and skied at Purgatory. Getting to the slopes took 3 minutes to drop off. Awesome! The home is beautiful. Plenty of room for several families. The owners were great to deal with and very helpful. If you're going to do it, do it right. Well worth the money. Will do it again.

Warm and Inviting to enjoy the holidays
What an amazing stay I had with my kids over Thanksgiving week. The house was beautiful, plenty of room for all and the wood fireplace got a lot of use that week. We were fortunate to have it snow all day on Thanksgiving and the views were amazing and the house had just about every amenity you could ask for. Easy to get to and not too far from town and just a walk away from the ski mountain. Thank you for the warm welcome from Galen who was waiting for our arrival and showed us how everything worked. Beds were most comfortable and kitchen was fully stocked for our use. Highlly recommend this home for a family looking to get away from it all but, keep the upscale quality of a home well cared for

Superb Vacation Home
We stayed here for one week for our 50th wedding anniversary celebration with our family. The house is gorgeous and in excellent condition. The owners were very cooperative as we were concerned the forest fires in the area were going to interfere with our ability to do the trip. They were understanding and willing to make concessions if the fire had not come under control. Their contact person, Karen, was great and had the home in wonderful condition. We had 8 people ranging in age from 15 to 71. Everyone had great sleeping accommodations and bathrooms were abundant. The kitchen is well stocked. The outdoor patio is extensive. We utilized the outdoor grill. The views are awesome. The trip to Durango was quick. The pool table was nice. The youngsters utilized Wii and the big screen for movies. The triple garage was good for storing one vehicle and our outdoor equipment. There are many nearby hiking trails. The Rockwood station for the train and Soaring zip-lining were 10 minutes away. Purgatory resort has a nice ski lift to a great ride back down the mountain. Overall a great experience. This made our trip memorable. We used the mountain backdrop for some great family pictures.

Unforgettable !!!
The owners of this beautiful home are easy to work with and go out of their way to make the visit a memorable one. We had 2 families (8 people all together) stay here the week after New Years.
We sat out back New Year’s Eve and had a great seat around the fire place to watch the fireworks.
We cooked some great meals in the beautiful kitchen and relaxed at night playing pool and board games up stairs.
Simply stated, I can’t think of enough superlatives to describe this house. The pictures really don’t do it justice.
We hope to stay again real soon!!

Beautiful home with all the amenities and more!
This was our second time for the 14 of us to stay at the home in Engineer Village across from the ski area. It is so convenient and is on the free shuttle route. With 3 laundry rooms and two dishwashers, our stay was very organized with such a large group. The house is clean, well maintained, and very comfortable, not to mention first class! There were ample towels, linens, kitchen supplies, pantry supplies, and paper goods. We were well taken care of by the manager of the home any time we had a question. We highly recommend the home.

They thought of everything !!
We crashed the car in a snow storm on the way up and everyone who flew in from Texas had been traveling for 24hours by the time we got to the house... One foot inside that place and everything melted away and the mood changed from tired and cranky to uplifting and relaxed. THE best money I've ever spent on a rental home. We're hoping to make this a yearly tradition. The house was beautiful and there was a well put together supporting staff. Thank you for saving our Glasgow-Christmas!

Luxurious Retreat
Our family (4 couples) enjoyed this spacious home for a week. We loved that the large open center of the home - living room, kitchen, and dining Room - allowed us to hang out together, enjoy watching movies on the huge TV, and cooking and eating together. And there was plenty of room to be away from each other in the spacious bedroom suites, the movie room, the rec room with a pool table. We also enjoyed the beautiful patio and fire pit. The home is in a lovely area, and there are many easily accessible activities in the area. We appreciated this home very much and give it our highest recommendation!

It will be hard to find a house as convenient and hospitable as this one in Engineer Village. Tons of amenities as well as plenty of room. Great for multiple families and easy to get to from mountain!

This is a beautiful house! Perfect! They built it with families in mind- movie room with hundreds of movies, Rec room with pool table and a fun hiding place for the kids. The house had amazing amenities and everything needed plus more! The shuttle service to the slopes across the street was easy and convenient! Perfect trip!

There IS nothing better!
Let's just make this real easy...THIS IS THE HOUSE YOU WANT! Literally, one of the nicest homes I've ever been in...let alone vacationed in. The owners, Ken and Donna, are fantastic...Karen, our host and greeter was nothing short of amazing! The home has everything you need to have the best vacation of your life. DMR is, no exaggeration, 2 minutes away...from garage to valet, well worth it. The amenities are all there, from a TV in every room...including a TV in the family room that's bigger then most walls in a home...I believe 91". Heated floors, garage access, steam shower, soaking tub with jets, pool table, upstairs mini kitchen...blah blah blah! This house should be your only option. We had 10 and there was enough room for everyone at all times of the day.

Wonderful vacation
We booked the home knowing we wanted a place able to accommodate 3 families, 14 people, and we found the perfect location. Plenty of room for all of us, with all the comforts and amenities we desired. The Durango Mountain resort was very close and kept the kids entertained. Close enough also, that we were able to do a rafting trip down the Animas river, and not too far a drive to restock on supplies. The main thing we did enjoy was that the home is perfect for the families to relax, enjoy meals together stay entertained.
