The Howard Arms is a lively little pub/inn and restaurant in the center of pleasant Brampton. During my stay the staff was cheerful and the food was particularly good. (Which explains why it was packed with locals.)
The room itself was standard fare.
It's not the Ritz Carlton but the room was clean, comfortable and more than adequate.
No complaints.

Goede ontvangst, zeer vriendelijk en hartelijk. Eigenaresse was werkelijk geïnteresseerd naar ons verhaal over vakantie in dit gebied van Engeland. Heerlijk gegeten in de eigen pub/hotel, goede bediening en goede gerechten.
Heerlijke en goede bedden, fantastische douche! Verder mooie nostalgische locatie waar ook Charles Dickens heeft gelogeerd!
Gehorigheid van de kamer van onze vrienden op de 1e etage; één nacht last gehad van gesnurk in andere kamer. Dat besproken met eigenaresse en toen direct een andere kamer gekregen, echt fantastisch. En die kamer was groter en ook nog comfortabeler.

Excellent location and parking not too much of a problem. Traditional pub but very quiet in the room. The pub dogs were very well behaved.
The room was rather small. We wanted to reorganise our cases having travelled from Australia, but not enough room to do this.

Great general value for money. Beautiful pub, roomy and cosy room and generally clean. The breakfast options were good and it was very tasty. Staff were generally very friendly and helpful.
There was a lot of noise from the pub downstairs, despite the fact my room was two floors higher. It's not an ideal location if you want to get early nights. Great if you want a party every evening though.

although our stay was a whistle stop affair ,it had a very homely feel and staff were very helpfull and welcomming. Animals at property were lovely and would love to stay here again at a more lesiurely pace .

Lovely friendly local pub, stayed on a work trip, unfortunately didn’t get to eat dinner we were too late but it looked lovely and breakfast was great.
Rooms were clean, spacious comfy beds, nicely decorated and fab showers. Would definitely recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
Dinner service finishing at 8.30 was a bit of a surprise and I’d had delayed trains. But we’d know for next time.

The breakfast had a good choice of healthy, quantity and quality
Nothing. However if you want a lie in, don’t expect external factors to surprise you… nothing to do with the customer experience….. it’s in the centre of the village and it’s active.

Bin hadn't been emptied since previous guests, very loud in the evening with entertainment from the bar, expensive for what it was

warm and inviting atmosphere
wasn’t told Friday night is music night so after a long 300 mile drive to be waken up by very loud music not impressed.No hot water in the morning so no showers for us.
When we complained regarding the loud music we were told this is a pub what did we expect!We then said there’s no hot water we were told the plumber was dealing with that situation.
next time we had a shower was the morning we left to come home.
