Beautifully restored 1922 craftsman bungalow in a prime Lodi wine tasting area
Porta il tuo gruppo familiare o gli amici in questo bellissimo Ca. bungalow nel cuore di Lodi e paese del vino. Questa casa è stata magnificamente restaurata con pezzi d'antiquariato in tutto. Questo bungalow in stile artigiano costruito nel 1922 ha pavimenti in legno e pannelli in legno ed è di oltre 2600 piedi quadrati. Ci sono 3 camere da letto, 2 bagni e 1/2, una grande sala d'ingresso, una sala da pranzo formale con credenza in vetro al piombo incorporato, sala giochi / famiglia, tana / ufficio, atrio e angolo lettura. La cucina è stata completamente ristrutturata con ripiani in granito, ma conserva ancora la straordinaria ghiacciaia Fridgidaire del 1926, perfetta per conservare il vino. La soleggiata cucina e la zona pranzo sono circondate da camelie che sono per la maggior parte delle finestre uniche che riempiono la casa di luce naturale. Offrono anche splendide viste sul quartiere alberato e sul parco dall'altra parte della strada in questa posizione privilegiata. Puoi anche goderti la lettura nell'angolo accogliente o nell'atrio pieno di piante private. L'enorme cortile recintato offre un patio per godersi una tazza di caffè o fare una riunione di gruppo per un barbecue. Il tavolo da giardino può ospitare 8 persone e vi sono ulteriori mobili in vimini e un tavolo da picnic con panche per gruppi più numerosi. Maurie's home has been lovingly restored to its grandeur & the bedrooms are super cozy upstairs. Walkability is ideal. Backyard is huge! Very spacious for a large (or small!) group with room for everyone. Delighted to have stayed in a piece of history.

We were three small families and had plenty of room for everyone. There are several downstairs gathering rooms along with a large dining room and a fully stocked kitchen. It’s a lovely neighborhood and parking was easy. The Internet was spotty but we didn’t ask for any help so maybe that could’ve been fixed. The clean up/check out process was minimal which we appreciated.

This house is perfect for those who want the flavor of downtown Lodi, and also would like to relax in a quiet and beautiful garden. There is a park across the street for families, and the house is perfectly equipped. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs. The office can be a 4th. and it is downstairs.

Little touches like fresh flowers, a bottle of Lodi zin, snacks and decorative pumpkins and gourds were so thoughtful and appreciated. It was lovely spending time out back at the table under the trees. Kitchen was immaculate and totally adequate.

We rented this home for a Church choir that played at our Youth Retreat for the weekend. They loved how close it was to the church, the downtown and eateries. Would definitely book again!

This was a perfect house to stage my wedding engagement celebration with a few of my closest girlfriends to have brunch, enjoy a day of wine tasting around Lodi, order Guantonio's for dinner, and play card games. Many memories, laughs, and stories of the weekend were all encased in this great house, which we couldn't stop exploring and wondering about the time when it was built. So many historical elements of interest and character while having the functionality of modern day amenities. And the kitchen items, including knives, dishes, and cutting boards, were of quality. So often VRBO's have cheap kitchenware. This house had a fully stocked kitchen that fit all of our serving needs. We won't hesitate to stay here again when our needs find us in Lodi!

We had an excellent stay. The house is in a great location close to downtown Lodi. We were in town for graduation and the back yard made a great location for our family to hang out together. I would highly recommend

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Merlot Bungalow. Beautifully and comfortably furnished with everything you could possibly need. Our family group of 8 had plenty of room to relax and reconnect. The downstairs den/bedroom with attached bath was especially handy for one with mobility challenges. Relaxing oasis in the backyard. This home is wonderfully restored with all the quirks of an older home intact. Yes, the street traffic can be noisy, but the location is perfect. Terrific hosts and the welcome wine and cheese gave us a delicious start!
We only wish we could have stayed longer.

Really enjoyed our stay here. House is in a perfect location near downtown. All the bedrooms are comfortable, downstairs living area is large with multiple rooms such as parlor, living room, dining room etc. Backyard has a nice seating area with outdoor furniture. Would definitely come again.

Maurie and Keith were lovely hosts, and they shared some terrific recommendations on the local scene when we arrived. Merlot Bungalow is cozy and well located with all the comforts of home. Excellent location and comfortable home. Street/train noise was a little louder than expected but some white noise machines took care of it. Great find!

Third fantastic stay at this property!
This is the 3rd time we have stayed at this property. It is perfect for our family. So clean and well equiped. How sweet to get bottles of wine and sweets upon arrival. The owners are so responsive. I can't say enough good things about this rental...that's why we have stayed here 3 times! Thanks.

Lovely old home with beautiful original workmanship
The house was fabulous for six friends we got together for a long needed gathering… It was spread out enough for a very comfortable stay.. I would’ve given it 5 stars but the street noise knocked it down to 4.

Lodi with Friends
This is the fourth time we have stayed in the Merlot House with friends. The kitchen is large and well stocked. We cook and potluck and enjoy eating together at the large dining room table. Walking distance to downtown and Hutchins Square. Lodi has much to offer. We especially enjoy bird watching in various locations and visiting the various wineries.

Nice house in good neighborhood with easy access to shopping and restaurants.
The house was a good size for accommodating out large family. There were plenty of towels and bed linens as well as a stocked kitchen. This house is located at a four-way stop with a fair amount of traffic. This could be an issue if you’re a light sleeper!

Charming house in a lovely neighborhood
We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house in Lodi. It was within walking distance of the lovely downtown area with lots of shops, restaurants and a movie theater. The rooms were comfortable and the kitchen was beautiful and well equipped.

A perfect home to celebrate our aunt’s 90th birthday. Excellent location to walk to town. Antiques in each room were beautiful! We would recommend this home for any Occasion!

Home has everything and is right in the heart of Lodi.
This was the perfect home for our visit to Lodi for a family wedding. We walked to local places and wine tasted nearby. We all loved the comfort of this well cared for Home. We had everything we needed and some extras. We felt very welcome upon arrival and hated to leave at the end.

Perfect in Every Way
We are repeat visitors to this house. It is walking distance from downtown and Hutchins Square. The house is beautifully restored and decorated. It is stocked with everything you might possibly need. It is perfect for reunions and groupings of family and friends as there are many areas within the house to socialize. Our group tends to gather around the large dining room table because we like to cook and eat. However, Lodi does have many great and good restaurants of all types. There is much to do in Lodi: wineries, cheese shop, hiking and kayaking at Lodi Lake, delta cruises to the west and many places to enjoy birdwatching. As the house is centrally located, there is some street noise noted from the upstairs bedrooms at night and trains do pass notably through Lodi at night. Some enjoy the trains; others who prefer silent sleep bring earplugs. Owners do everything just right! We will be back!

Great place to stay!
Our group of four really enjoyed our stay. The property was spacious, had a lot of special touches. The beds and pillows were super comfortable. Would stay here again, and would fly in to Sacramento instead of San Francisco!

Not good
The house smelled - probably because few windows open. ALL upstairs windows are painted closed which is a fire code violation and very dangerous. All upstairs bedrooms SHARE the master shower and toilet which is not mentioned anywhere. The neighborhood is extremely busy with constant loud traffic. The home is not being realistically portrayed.

My friends and I had a wonderful time staying the weekend at the Bungalow. Spacious home, with comfortable beds, and well-stocked with the basics you'd need for your stay, e.g. cooking spices, snacks, and toiletries. Our host Maurie was thoughtful and responsive to messages, which I greatly appreciated. If you're looking for a place stay in Lodi/Stockton area with a group, consider this cute craftsman!
