Our favorite family vacation spot! This property is in a prime location and the host goes above and beyond to be friendly and helpful. Furniture was comfortable and kitchen was well stocked. We loved every minute!

We love this lovely place. It is perfect for the two of us! Judy is always there for any needs! Plus she is a wonderful person! I could stay for days but vacations are short but sweet!

This cottage was comfy and cozy! A convenient location and close to everything, but also very quiet. The host resolved any issues quickly. We had a great stay here and even the cat enjoyed the outdoor patio.

The Last Resort cottage was an awesome location. Adults walked one or two minutes to pool, lake, pickle ball, market store, donuts & coffee, auditorium, ice cream. Kids bikes it in 30 seconds. The cottage is tastefully decorated & neat. Kitchen fully stocked, oven heats up quickly, large refrigerator. We cooked three dinners. Shower has plenty of hot water. Slept great! Cottage is bright & cheerful with plenty of natural light. We appreciated the extra front door light for our teenager returning on his bike at 11 pm from Bettinger Park. We had the entire driveway to park our car & bikes (we ended up not renting a golf cart). Lakeside was lovely & Judy’s cottage was a hit!

We had a wonderful stay at “The Last Resort” with myself, my fiancé, my sister, and my brother-in-law as well as our two dogs. Being able to have our dogs with us was a huge bonus as most cottages in Lakeside don’t allow that. The only downside was that we had to walk them to Hoover Auditorium to go to the bathroom since there was no grass on the property but that wasn’t a problem for us. The WiFi was very strong and we were able to work and conduct a zoom call from the cottage. The water pressure in the shower was fantastic as well. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this cottage.

Very nice little cottage. Judy was very friendly and responded quickly. There is zero yard if you're bringing a dog. We would definitely stay again.

What an absolutely wonderful little place in a wonderful little community! My family had such a great time and Judith was the perfect host. We couldn't have asked for better hospitality. We had never heard of Lakeside before this trip, but we can't wait to return!

The Last Resort is an amazing property at Lakeside. The Fasold family made it so inviting and we will definitely stay there again.

We spent a week for a much needed respite. Our host was friendly and accommodating. The location is superb.

We had a perfect week in the 70s at the lake and cottage was ideal for overflow sleeping for family. Didn’t spend much time indoors at all. Judy was responsive and welcoming.

Wonderful find, convenient location, pet-friendly and has everything we need. Already booked for summer 2021 and can't wait!

loved this little house - perfect for a small family. Since we spend a lot of time at the pool, the only thing it needs is more hooks to hang wet towels. Hope to stay there again next year.

This is our second year staying at this same property. The owner is helpful and kind and is nearby. The house is small (2 bedrooms upstairs), bathroom downstairs, small kitchen and living room, but perfect for a small family. It is very centrally located and an easy walk to town, lake, arts center and pool. Very nice to have small kitchen including coffee maker, pots and pans, and fridge. Definitely recommend and we've already booked to come back for year 3!

The cottage was perfect! Close to everything Lakeside has to offer!

This cottage is convenient to everything at Lakeside. No car or golf cart necessary. It was ideal for my husband and me. We stayed last summer and will most likely be back next year. There is a grill for outdoor cooking and A/C which we couldn’t do without. Two wonderful weeks in Mayberry!

There are so many things we could say about our disappointing experience at this rental. But the most important point is that this property is not cleaned between guests. Renter says that "each person should clean up after their stay". Worn furniture was filthy. There was animal hair everywhere and most challenging to live with, was an ant infestation. Although the owner was out of town, when she was contacted about this issue, she suggested that we purchase several items to spray around the unit. This is not the renters responsibility! She waited two days after she returned to check on the ant issue, never did anything to help the situation and never apologized. If you enjoy staying in a clean cottage during your vacation, this is not the place for you.

For us, the combination of this cottage's location and the fact that we can bring our dog, makes this place perfect. Thanks again, Judy!

This is our 3rd year visiting Lakeside and our first rental with this property. We have already reserved it again for next year so that tells you something! Location is perfect! About 2 blocks to everything - downtown, lake, arts center, pool and so close to Hoover Auditorium. The cottage is small but has everything you need - small kitchen (well stocked), living room w smart TV, window air conditioning that worked well, and two bedrooms upstairs. A big plus was the ability to bring a dog with us (we also brought her crate). Owner was in house nearby and wonderfully helpful and kind. And rental rate is reasonable. A great experience - looking forward to our return next year!
