Mary is a wonderful host! She is a good communicator. She helped us a lot when our flight was late and our grandchildren arrived before us. We can't thank her enough. The apartment was clean, nicely furnished, and well stocked. Excellent view of the ocean and easy beach access. We have been visiting Puerto Rico for over 10 years now and this was by far the nicest place we have stayed. We are already planning a trip back for next year. Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed.

This is our second time staying at this condo. We wouldn't stay anywhere else. Access to miles and miles of incredible beaches which are never crowded (at least not in December, January and February when we've been there). Accommodations are exactly as presented. Reading and relaxing in the hammock with the beach right in front of you is an incredible treat when it's snowing back home! Very comfortable beds. Very nice TV for watching Netflix in the evening. WI-FI works very well. The kitchen is complete and it was easy to prepare daily meals. (We discovered the good grocery store is Ralph's down the road about 5 miles in Fajardo.) The washer and dryer were definitely a nice amenity for our month long stay. Our stay was very comfortable because our hostess Mary is the absolute best. She always responds immediately if we have a question. We hope to be able to return again. FYI best restaurant for insanely good ribs and everything else is Brasas y Cultura smokehouse on PR Hwy 3, only a couple miles from the condo. Also, we loved Ossobuco located at Kiosk #29. Can't wait to return to Luquillo!

The size condo is good with a nice balcony balcony but totally dated , there is ac only in bedrooms and one is very old imposible to sleep there because the noise is terrible . We bought a fan to make it more confortable in the living room area even with the ocean across the st was very hot and humid a roof fan would be really good . Everything look clean except for the bathroom I was desappointed about that the tub was really bad , and the bed very uncomfortable old mattress very hard and noise . The beach is very nice and also Playa Piñones is so beautiful a neighbor gave us that tip .Fajardo 15’ away were you can do all your shopping there is a good supermarket there better prices than Waltmart . There is a supermarket in the area but I didn’t like to much many restaurants We’re close I guess because the season .The owner Mary is very attentive she alway answer our questions right away .. very nice lady .

It was a pleasure for me to be in this place and if I had the opportunity to return to this island, I would return to this place. Its owner had it very clean and had all the utilities I need to go to the beaches.

Mary was a great host. Our flight got in late but she still met us at the apartment. The apartment faces the Luquillo beach. The area the apartment is in is quiet and safe. The beach never had more than 10 people on it--and it stretches on for what looks like a mile (we were there May 1-5 in 2019). Las Paylas and El Yunque are minutes away, shopping is out of sight but very close, as are a long line of kiosk food vendors. (Note, the vendors on the east end are the least expensive.) Fajardo (bioluminescent bay) is about a 10 minute drive. San Juan is about 30-45 minutes away. We rented a car and used the apartment as our base. Going to sleep and waking up to the sound of waves was great. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and in a great location across from the beach (cross the very quiet 2 land street and you are there). The air conditioning in the bedrooms worked well. The breeze through the rest of the home made it very comfortable. Washer and dryer were handy and worked well. Highly recommended.

Everything close, car needed. Electric entry gate malfunctioned, and the closing alarm was really noisy! Otherwise perfect. Will return to Arenado!

First day the refrigerator was old, the day of the arrival was noisy, do not let us rest, in addition had a bad smell. My husband get a technician to fix it. The next day the water heater got broken and my husband had to fix it. The owner was not willing to resolve the issues. Next day workers repairing the complex were making noises, drilling and loud music, for many days. The apartment was dirty and had human hair everywhere. The old furniture was dirty too with lots of small ants that bite me many times, I could not sit on them because I got this painful bite, they were everywhere in the apartment.The screens of the windows were very dirty and were not fix so a lot of insects came inside into the apartment were crawling in the bed and everywhere and my body, I wake up with my foot, legs and hands cover in bites from the insects, I do not know what kind was, this was besides the ants. We endure the previous situation since we do not wanted to spend our precious time resolving every issue with the apartment. At this point we requested the owner a refund but she was so insensitive and lack of compassion that even said that that was nothing and the insects were harmless. For her the apartment was sparkling clean even when we show her the dirt, the photos of the insects, the bites in my body and the insects that we had to kill the previous night. We have photos of everything. The owner refused to give us a refund despite that her property was not acceptable.Her denial was not honest and caused that we cannot stay since we were risking our health. We filed a complaint in Home Away site but it was a waste of time, the staff do not do nothing to help us to get the refund or to provide a hotel to stay, just limited to say they will filed this complaint in the owner's account. We lost all the money for the overall cost of the trip, the stay was supposed to be for a month but we just stayed 11 days and could not achieve the business that was the purpose of our travel. We had to go to a hotel and change our flight back to home and spent more for the additional costs.The whole experience was traumatic and mentally agonizing. Beware of doing arrangements with Home Away or others since you risk everything and nobody will guarantee what you deserve, which is a clean, peaceful and safe place to stay. Even worst will not support you if you got in a situation like this. I will never use or recommend Home Away or other companies or go back to Puerto Rico

The property was exactly as expected. Just feet away from the beach. Would certainly recommend. Going back Christmas.

If you love the sounds of a tropical forest and the ocean, this is the place to rent. In addition to being a comfortable, cozy 2-bedroom condo, you are treated to the sounds of coqui frogs out the back and ocean waves from the balcony. The hammock adds a nice touch to the balcony. We didn't particularly like the gated aspect of the condo, but that should not deter anyone from renting. It is situated across from lovely Playa Azul, with warm beautiful water and great waves to jump and body surf in. Mary is a flexible, kind host.

It is exactly as depicted in the photos and couldn't be any more homey and comfortable....the 2 bedrooms are cozy with good beds and plenty of storage. It is so convenient to have a kitchen fully stocked with everything you need to prepare meals. We could've literally sat on the balcony all day, every day and stared at the beautiful caribbean sea, but a short trip across the street to a nearly deserted, amazing beach is even better!! I have traveled a lot and stayed in a lot of places and I cannot more highly recommend this location! You will never want to leave!!!! I will be back again!! Thank you Mary for sharing your little slice of paradise with us!!

Our week long stay went by too quickly. Comfortable condo with the extras needed to enjoy the beach. Lulled by the ocean waves and serenaded by the coqui frogs it was perfectly relaxing. Thank you for your hospitality Mary!

Our three-year-old granddaughter loved the beach and the experience. It was a comfortable spot for 3 adults and 1 child. We had everything we needed in the condo and our stay was very comfortable. We cooked all our meals; we would suggest that this is the best plan as there are not a lot of restaurants nearby. It's better to shop and cook! We will recommend this to our friends and family as a great location for a relaxing and quiet holiday.

Staying at Mary's place turned out to be absolutely perfect for our family. The view from the second story porch was wonderful. We fought over the hammock! Everything was actually as stated. We were comfortable the entire month we stayed there. Internet was very very good (two of us had to do some work on the computer so it was important that we had a fast, reliable internet connection). The condo complex is gated and very secure and well kept up. We walked miles and miles of beaches in either direction. The ocean was like bath water. Her location turned out to make so many things accessible - the grocery store, post office, the Brass Cactus restaurant, drug store, gas station, all were literally within one mile of her condo yet we were off the beaten path with just the little frontage road between us and the beach. Getting around the island to El Yunque, Fajardo, Ponce, San Juan and points in between was very, very easy from our location in Luquillo. Mary was helpful in printing out our boarding passes for us which was very nice. When we come back, it will be to this same location as it really was the best for us!

Great time spent with my family! Third time we stay in Arenamar and Mary's place was the best. The apartment is fully equiped with all you may need. Quiet place, except for the sound of the waves breaking in the sand. Highly recommend you stay here, peaceful, secure, perfect beach feets away, close to all the amenities you may need!

This was our third time at Arenamar and it won't be our last . Mary makes you feel like family and is always available when you need her . The apt. is equipped with all that you need to be comfortable . The ocean in front is all that I need !!! I love Puerto Rico and the people there !!! See you in Oct. !!

Walking down the beach in the other direction for about the same time brings you to an undeveloped stretch of beautiful beach that goes on for miles and miles, and is abundant in sea birds. We also swam in the beach in front of the condo, but farther up as there are signs warning of strong currents there. The town of Luquillo is not very up and coming, but we enjoyed eating at the kiosks and had a very good meal at Rincon del Sabor also. So if your emphasis is on enjoying a constant sea view, and having lots of beach to walk on, this is a wonderful place!

First let me say , Mary is the sweetest person and so easy to deal with .She is always available if you have a problem.We had minimal . This is my forever vacation rental .We loved it ! Everything you need is there .We have been going to Luquillo for many years and have now found our spot . We will call before November, Mary and will see you soon .
