Questa deliziosa duplex con due camere da letto e due bagni occupa il secondo e il terzo piano di una bella casa costruita nel 1900, sotto la cupola della Cappella USNA. Un bellissimo giardino simile a un parco dietro la casa presenta un patio lastricato e un percorso a serpentina e uno splendido paesaggio.
L'ingresso alla casa è incorniciato da un invitante portico anteriore, e all'interno della porta d'ingresso c'è un piccolo vestibolo con un ingresso separato e le scale al secondo livello. In cima alle scale c'è una cucina ben attrezzata completamente rinnovata con ripiani in granito, che si affaccia sul giardino. A destra c'è un bagno completo con vasca e doccia con i piedini, e in fondo al corridoio c'è una camera da letto matrimoniale. Nella parte anteriore della casa è un accogliente soggiorno, dotato di TV e via cavo, e molti posti a sedere per gruppi.
Il terzo piano è una grande suite matrimoniale con un letto matrimoniale, un secondo bagno completo e un futon matrimoniale per l'espansione. Lenzuola e asciugamani sono forniti.
La casa si trova tra il Gate 1 e il Gate 3 dell'Accademia navale, a 5 minuti a piedi dal porto, dai ristoranti popolari e dai negozi per i quali la storica Annapolis è famosa.

Enjoyed our stay. Extremely hospitable and nice hosts. Marlys answered any questions promptly and she and her husband were extremely polite. Very clean and it was a convenient location near the Academy and downtown; about 2 blocks. The steps to get to the 2nd/3rd floors might be difficult for anyone with bad knees or back. We had a little trouble going up with heavy luggage because it’s narrow and a tight squeeze. The other historic homes are likely the same though and it wasn’t an issue that would keep me from returning.
Would stay again for a short trip (2-3 nights), but would need a larger kitchen for an extended trip. We enjoy cooking so there weren’t many comfortable stools and there is no dining area. But it you are just looking for clean, accommodating, and convenient and plan to eat out; go for it. Would have been nice to have had another hair blower in the 3rd floor bathroom so we wouldn’t have needed to keep going up and down the steps to borrow the one on the 2nd floor. Beds were comfortable and futon was okay for the 14yr old; maybe not for an adult. Molly the dog was adorable. :) Thank you for letting us use your home. :)

The location could not be better - and the garden is beautiful! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners were very easy to communicate with and eager to help with anything we may need. Everything was clean and stocked. We would definitely stay again in the future!

Annapolis has been our favorite local get away spots. This property is in a great location and was perfect for our group of 3 guests. Parking is available on the street. A great choice of restaurants within walking distance. Marlys was very helpful throughout the stay.

Fabulous location on a quiet street just a five-minute walk from the centre of town. Everything was spotless and perfect, from the comfortable beds, to the "sing along songs" for the shower and the wonderful view from the kitchen window. And a charming host who went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed.

Absolute Pleasure
Marlys was a wonderful hostess. The unit was absolutely perfect for our stay — centrally located in Annapolis, yet a quiet haven that was cozy for our family gathering. The property was clean, and had amazing views to the garden, as well as the dome of the Naval Chapel. This place is a gem!

Perfection
There is really no mystery as to why Marlys and Pete have earned exceptional reviews on VRBO and we were very fortunate that their home was available for our stay. This was our first VRBO and we were pleasantly surprised. Their home was very clean, comfortable and had every amenity that we needed for our stay.
Their home is located in the historic district, and it is sheer perfection. Moreover, they treat their guests like family. After Marlys contacted me, I knew exactly what I needed to do to plan for our visit because her recommendations were flawless.
As it is a very short walk to gate 1 or gate 3 of USNA, we were able to come back and forth throughout the day to rest between activities for Plebe Summer. The bonus was that with a full kitchen, I was able to bring a homecooked meal to our Plebe during the picnic after the oath ceremony.
The pictures of this property simply don't do it justice. The garden is absolutely beautiful, and we hope to enjoy it more on our next visit. As you stand in the kitchen, you'll be in awe of the Naval Academy Chapel view. We will certainly stay again and recommend this home to family and friends!
*No need to rent a car because Annapolis is made for walking and everything you could possibly need is very close! Just Uber from the airport and relax.

Perfect for a small family or two people
The property was charming and the location perfect. We had originally booked with another couple who had to cancel. In retrospect, the 2nd flight of stairs would have proven to be a hindrance. The owner did advise us of this at booking, so it is no reflection on them. The owners were easy to correspond with and totally accomodating to all of our requests.

Wonderful Stay with Gracious Hosts
My family and I stayed for a week this summer. The rental was fantastic - convenient to downtown Annapolis and the USNA. Pete and Marlys are great hosts and were gracious with their time for evening wine and cheese in the back garden. Opening the kitchen windows each evening at 6PM for the USNA Chapel Bells during dinner became routine. We will definitely make this our home away from home on future visits!

Delightful
This wonderful place is the perfect base for exploring historic Annapolis! The waterfront, shops and a bajillion restaurants are a short and charming walk away. The home itself is sparkling clean and lovingly maintained. Comfortable beds and furnishings, well-equipped kitchen -and access to a dreamy back garden. The hosts are lovely and sincerely want their guests to have an outstanding stay. They were very kind and accommodating, and communication was prompt and easy. Would love to visit again.

Fantastic & Perfect Downtown Annapolis Stay in Everyway!
Words won't convey how perfect our stay was - perfection that starts and ends with tremendous hosts who were incredibly kind, thoughtful, responsive and went out of their way to ensure our stay was nothing short than great. The house itself is nothing short of spectacular: A 121-year-old historic home that has only had three owners. Despite it's age, the house has every amenity you might need for a multi-week stay. Two well appointed and very, very comfortable bedrooms and full baths, a super cozy living room, a well equipped kitchen, washer/dryer and quality high-speed internet, digital a/c etc. While the living spaces are fantastic, it's the property's garden with spectacular landscaping that is truly breathtaking; multiple sitting areas, outdoor grill, tables, umbrellas -- it's literally like you are staying in the US National Arboretum. And if the garden isn't enough, the kitchen and both bedrooms have postcard-worthy views of the USNA Chapel Dome which towers above. The property also has a great front porch for sitting/people watching. The home is just steps from USNA Gate 3; everything in downtown Annapolis is in easily walkable distance - and the King George location is much quieter on weekend nights compared to other DTA properties we've stayed at previously. Ultimately though, what makes this choosing this property a no-brainer are the owners/hosts who just really care. There was literally nothing they could have done to improve our experience because it was so positive, but it was clear to us that if there had been any issue at all, they would have jumped. We could not recommend more highly.

Idyllic stay in Annapolis
From the first to the last contact with the gracious hosts, the stay was perfect! The house is spotlessly clean, conveniently located, has strong wifi and has a well-appointed kitchen. The garden is out of a magazine! Highly recommended!

Great Location
We decided to make an impromptu trip to Annapolis and happened to find this wonderful location. Marlys and Pete were very responsive and helpful, especially when a winter storm threatened to disrupt our trip.
