Great location, wonderful large deck, nice private pool. House was not clean. Large crusts of bread fell off the dishwasher door when first open, broom with pile of dirt near door, cabinet interiors needed cleaning. Much of the pots and pans disorganized. Not one sheet of toilet paper upon arrival. So many beach tubes etc. in laundry room it had to be emptied to use the washing machine and dryer. Cockroaches in kitchen and bathrooms. The lockbox combination difficult to see and use. While the size and location of the home was great, sometimes it is the little...but very important....things that make the stay amazing as well.

Our 3rd year at this property. Incredible views and beautiful new deck. This is a great house for kids with its pool, outdoor shower and overall comfortable and cozy vibe.

Seven adults found this cottage to be the perfect size and location for our family. We have been vacationing in Emerald Isle for years and this was one of our favorite rentals. We rarely left the very clean beautiful property, spending time on the beach, in the pool, and on the deck. It was a pleasant surprise to see how short the walk was to the almost private beach. The foot wash station was used multiple times a day and most of us used the outdoor shower every day. We never turned on the TV as we enjoyed the many board games and books you made available. Thank you for placing lights on the stairs and pool so we could move around safely after dark. We really appreciated the labels identifying light switches and kitchen items. The kitchen was stocked with every item we needed; the full-sized refrigerator and dishwasher worked well. The check-in and check-out procedures were efficient due to the excellent written instructions. We will definitely rent this unit again.

This house was perfect for me and my family. The proximity to the beach made it easier to transport a baby and that goes along with that. We enjoyed the pool as a way to cool off from the heat without going on the beach.

My family and I stayed at this location and it was very beautiful. You can tell the owner has been investing money into the property. New decking, railing, and very clean. The only downside is that there was only 1 trash bin to utilize for the week, but that is only trying to find something for improvement. Highly recommend this location.

The beach house, beach, and pool were amazing! This was a perfect experience for our family. There were numerous great restaurants close by. This was truly special for our family.

You really can't beat the location of this home! This side of the island is more residential, which means the beach is not crowded! There is a playground within half a mile that my 2 year old niece really enjoyed. The grocery stores are about a mile or so away, super easy!
The beach access and pool are amazing. Being able to see the ocean from the pool is a bonus for sure. Our family really enjoyed both!
The home itself is older, but did what we needed. We had 6 adults and 1 toddler. Would more space be nice? Sure, but we didnt spend too much time inside. The home could use some updating, but nothing bothered us at all. And, my pup had a ball.
Would I stay here again? Sure! You cannot beat the location and views!

The location is perfect! The pool and view were beautiful!
There’s a few safety concerns: nails sticking up on the deck (we found a hammer to fix a few), poor lighting on back patio and pool- it would have been great to have lights so we could enjoy that area at night. The solar lights provided little light and we almost fell down the stairs outside because it was so dark. Only 2 smoke detectors with batteries in the home. Every room needs a smoke detector, especially in older homes. The doors to bedrooms were very difficult to open/close (made it difficult to leave the room while our toddler was sleeping). There was not a door handle on the master bedroom sliding door. The “high chair” is a small, tall chair with 1 strap around it and definitely not safe for a small child.
The size of house, location and view were perfect but a few safety concerns.

First I would like to say the location and layout of this home was fabulous!! However the cleanliness left much to be desired. I am well aware this was a pet friendly rental but to find dog hair on bedside tables and comforters is ridiculous. The corners of all rooms had inch thick pet hair and dirt!! I had to clean all day on our first vacation day just to make myself feel better. I am not usually a negative person but I begged for a simple broom all week. After numerous text about housekeeping issues I did receive $200.00 back for MY housekeeping duties. But never saw a simple broom. We also had to shower outside before dark due to no outside lights on porch or shower area. The maintenance guy came out twice and tried to repair issues with no luck.

We loved our first trip to Emerald Isle, in large part thanks to Sea Glass! This beautiful cottage exceeded our expectations, from the stunning oceanfront views, to the short stroll to the beach. Sea Glass is well-appointed, clean, updated, and in a lovely neighborhood with easy access to everything. Can’t wait to go back!

We had a wonderful stay at Sea Glass. The location was perfect! The view was amazing from the living area and two bedrooms and is even pretty good from the back two bedrooms. The walk to the ocean is VERY short. The pool is great. It has steps going in and two sitting areas IN the pool! The kitchen was well equipped. Sea Glass worked well with our dogs. (You do need to watch where you walk them because there are briars and cacti all over.) The property manager, Drew, was on the ball! Each of the three times that we texted him he responded immediately. We had a great week!

The house gave off a quaint, old school, cottage vibe. Our family soaked in the view and sun, played in the waves and pool. The tiki shower was a must!

Amazing views and location!
Thank you so much for sharing this property with us. The 7 of us- 5 adults and 2 small children had a wonderful week there. The location of the house could not be more perfect. The view from the living room, deck, and bed rooms were perfect. Plenty of space foe us all to be together. The pool was wonderful and the kiddos loved it so much. The ease of getting back and forth to the beach was so nice with the small kids. Check in was simple and commutation with everyone was super easy! We will def be planning another trip here❤️

Beautiful time at Sea Glass
Sea Glass is exactly as advertised. Comfortable, homey, restful and well appointed. Stayed there May 28, 2022 to June 4, 2022, with my daughter, son in law, 4 grandchildren and a dog. Exceptional location. Beautiful pool and amazing outdoor shower that I claimed upon arrival. Property manager Drew was awesome and directed us to local restaurants and attractions. A minor issue with the pool pump was addressed within an hour of reporting it. Drew stopped in mid week to make sure all was well. This property is perfect! We will be back next year!!

Fabulous ocean front home
This home was perfect for beautiful views of the ocean when it was too cold to be outside and just steps to walk the beach when it was nice. The beach is wonderfully empty yet it's just a quick drive to a huge Publix. Perfect vacation home!

Great House!
What a great house! It’s exactly as represented in the description and very clean. The oceanfront location is amazing. My wife and I sat on the deck and watched the dolphins pass by. Even when it rained we were able to enjoy the view thanks to the covered deck. Check in was simple and Deanna was so easy to work with. I highly recommend the Sea Glass!

Perfect Place
This place was the perfect size for our family of 6 adults. There was actually a 4th kids bedroom that we didn't use that accomodates 4 kids (bunks). This cottage is perfectly situated on the beach giving both sunrises and sunsets! The pool was a nice plus; although, we didn't use it as much as we thought we would. The location on Emerald Isle is also a nice plus as it is 2 miles from the Point. We could hop on our bikes or run there easily. I spent the entire week just wishing it were mine!

Great location, mediocre house
The location of the property was really great. You are steps away from the beach and the fact that there was a pool was a major plus for our kids. Upon arrival though, we were shocked to find 2 large plastic bags filled with smaller plastic bags (is no one plastic conscious on the East Coast?) full of sheets and towels. I could not believe that after paying almost $6k on this rental for a week that the beds were not made and the towels not stacked. Not only that, but it did not even come with a solitary roll of toilet paper, paper towels or even a trash bag! I have paid far less for a VRBO and NEVER have I ever encountered this. This clearly was not a COVID issue, as the comforters and pillows were still left behind on the beds. The place was pretty clean, sans a few big bugs, but it's the beach, so it wasn't totally unsurprising.
The property manager on the other hand was fantastic. We had a problem with the air conditioner the first night and he responded to my texts immediately and had a maintenance worker out the very next day.
We still had a great time, despite the accommodations. So if you rent this place, make sure you bring EVERYTHING, and I do mean everything you may need, down to sponges for cleaning.

Great Location
The house was smaller than it appears in the pictures, but it suited 4 adults very well. The deck was wonderful, although could use some new furniture. It is truly beachfront and the view of the ocean was just what we were hoping for.
Would definitely consider Sea Glass for a future trip to Emerald Isle!

Great location, but dirty and not maintained.
The location was as expected. The poor condition of the property was a surprise. It was "Sticky Dirty" with kitchen ants on arrival. More patio furniture was busted than functioning.

It’s all about the view.
First experience with VRBO and will not be our last. Great communication all around, from booking to property owner and property management. This home had something for all ages. Loved the deck, loved the pool and loved the view. Only drawback was the size of the showers in the attached bathrooms, which was solved by the ample outdoor shower, that my husband described as magical. Thank you for sharing your lovely home!

Sea Glass
The property was exactly as advertised. The kitchen was well stocked, the home was warm and inviting and the pool was steps from the ocean. It's a perfect 4 bedroom layout with living room/kitchen in the heart for family time. The owner happened to be in town and stopped by to welcome us. We have searched OBX/Crystal Coast from Cordova and Island looking for the perfect house and we've found it. The only spoiler was hurricane Dorian. We will be back!

Wonderful Oceanfront Home for Family Vacation
The house was nice and the location perfect. The kitchen was better equipped than anticipated. One room with a queen and twin bed was relatively small with the sink in the bedroom and the bathroom was really small. However, it worked well with our family and the large shared bathroom made up for any inconvenience it might have caused.
The pool was wonderful and clean with plenty of chairs, which we didn’t even use because we stayed in the pool!
The only fly in the ointment was that we had to evacuate on Monday night due to evacuation notice for Hurricane Florence. Owner was wonderful about sending us notices that were available about the situation ensuing and we were able to make our decisions with a little more knowledge than would have otherwise been available. Would stay here again.

Sea Glass at Emerald Isle was Perfect!
We stayed at Sea Glass in Emerald Isle, NC. This was our first visit to Emerald Isle. Our four children ages 11 thru 17 absolutely loved Sea Glass and it's proximity to the beach. The private pool is small but, still worked out great. The house is cozy and clean. Location on the Isle is perfect. The location and beaches were not crowded. Easy to get around. We are planning to be back next year!

Great location
This is the second year we have stayed at this house. The owners did quite a few upgrades since last year. The layout works out great for our family since we all have our own bathrooms. I like it because there is just one set of steps into the house...no 2nd or 3rd floors to climb to. Also, literally just about 10-12 steps off the back balcony and you are at beach level. The views are great and we enjoyed the pool. The open floor plan is really nice. Multiple people can be in the kitchen without it feeling crowded. The house was very clean and smelled great when we arrived. The property manager stopped by during the week to make sure everything was OK. The only negative was that the west facing bedrooms were very warm.
