The house was actually really nice and the photos didn't do it justice. Tahoe donner is a great spot to stay in North Lake Tahoe/Truckee, and the house was very close to the downhill ski area, and somewhat near the sledding and nordic centers. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, the living spaces were grand and fit the tahoe mood. Bedrooms comfortably slept 11 adults. Living room furniture is a tad small for a large group that fits in the house. It takes a long time to heat the house up, which would be nice if hosts could turn up to a reasonable temp before arrival. We were shivering until 3am the first night.

This house was perfect for three different families made of 3 adults and 5 kids. Kitchen is well equipped.
We enjoyed snowshoeing behind the house.

We chose this house because of the size and room/bed arrangements. We had one small issue locating the passes for the amenities, however they resolved it promptly. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice and spacey place.
The unit was very nice and spacey, very nice and quick response customer service. Appliances need more upgrades and deck needed some maintenance.

We love the massage tubs. The house is huge and spacious for the kids to play without running thru the kitchen. Quiet neighborhood.

Great House!
We actually loved this house and will return. It had a good selection of bedrooms and beds so we could arrange family groups and find quiet spots for naps. The toy room was a great bonus! We were there on an unusually hot weekend and didn't know there was no air conditioning, so if you go when it's hot, take fans. It probably isn't extremely hot too often, but the July nights were very hot this year. There are two main categories that could use improvement. (1) Please make it clear that the Tahoe Donner member privileges are only partly available to guests (renters). We could use the Marina Beach Club for a hefty price, but the swimming pool reservations were much more limited, not just by covid, and difficult to obtain. There would have been a hefty price for these as well. (2) The kitchen was adequate, but the utensils, pots, and bowls seemed furnished by a clearance table at Goodwill. Chairs at the table were a little wobbly. Come on, this is a high end rental! One last thing, we did not find the advertised crib.

The property was nice
It was clean and it looked just like it did online so that was a plus!!! I would definitely stay there again.

However, we did face some issues, which we believe should be taken care off.
1. The appliances were really old and need an upgrade ( Microwave would take a really long time to heat up, Dishwasher bottom rack rails would constantly fall off Refridgerator - Most of the door shelves are missing.)
2 - Shower fittings were broken/ not working properly in two of the bathrooms
3 - One of the tubs had very slow drainage and we had to call to have it fixed - I should however highlight the property management team was quick to respond and fix the issue.

Hi. We arrived and there was no key in the padlock and the garage door also didn’t open. So a nuisance upon arriving. Called VRBO several times to get support. We eventually did get the door open. Inside the beds were comfortable and the kitchen very well supplied with utensils, etc. Some items could use updating, including the pots.The overall decor could also use some updating.The location was great and it was near to all of our winter activities.

Pod vacay in Truckee
Hi.
We arrived and there was no key in the padlock and the garage door also didn’t open. So a nuisance upon arriving. Called VRBO several times to get support. We eventually did get the door open.
Inside the beds were comfortable and the kitchen very well supplied with utensils, etc. Some items could use updating, including the pots.
The overall decor could also use some updating.
The location was great and it was near to all of our winter activities.

Exactly As Advertised
Great location for multiple ski resorts. Roads plowed & clear. House was SPOTLESS, so reassuring during COVID-19. Kitchen well-stocked for real cooking. Beds very comfortable. Plenty of hot water for relaxing showers. Cherry on top: in-garage parking! WOW. I would stay here every season if this home were available.

Snow peak Tahoe
We love hiking so we decided to take a little vacation to Lake Tahoe. We decided to rent this cabin to have a great experience with my family but sadly it was the opposite. As soon as we got the cabin we noticed a big hole on the Porch, I took pictures and contacted the property management i got told it was going to be takem care ASAP and it never happened. The next day my 10 year old son went to get his backpack out of the car and forgot about the hole and he tripped he sprained hisankle and cut his knee. My son couldn't stand up or even put weight on his leg that totally ruined our whole trip. We tried contacging the property management but no one answered. We couldn't enjoy our trip and had to spend the whole trip takimg care of my son because the whole never got fixed.

Dirty Bed sheets in 2bedrooms. Ceiling fans dusty, windows and dishes dirty unwashed.
Overall nice and comfy place for a large family. Enough space and beds for a family of 12 with two young children too.

Big Beautiful Cabin
The cabin was very spacious and comfortable. Loved the big kitchen and jet tubs. Cabin had everything we needed - it was clean and well-maintained, had plenty of space, and the deck was great for relaxing and eating. We loved the location and will definitely return in the winter.

A very nice house, but needs better housekeeping
We used this home for a friends get-together. The home is spacious and has all the amenities you may need. However, it needed a better housekeeping. The countertops in the bathrooms were not clean (a paper towel was simply black when we cleaned them ourselves), the utensil holders in kitchen drawers were not cleaned (had bread crumbs), the rails were dusty, we had only one extra trash bag for a party of 10 for 3 days - so had to go to the town and buy extra, the children play loft was very dusty (not sure when it was vacuumed last time). Also, the Internet could be better - we had a decent connection during only one day out of the three we spent there. Having said that, all those small things did not spoil our mini-vacation as we fixed them ourselves and had a great time in a wonderful setting.

Beautiful home
We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. The pictures did not do this place justice. It was bigger then we thought an fit had a lot of stuff for use. We really enjoyed going to Donner lake. Unfortunately the rec. center wasn't open due to covid but we still enjoyed ourselves. Wish we would've booked it for a few more days.

Great space
We absolutely loved staying here with our family. There were some issues with the fireplace not being cleaned, but the property manager immediately sent someone to clean it. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was nice and open for all of us. I wish they had more basic kitchen spices and needs, but we just went to the store to get them. Most of the vacation rentals we rent usually provide coffee or tea so we just left ours there.
Overall, we loved the space, not too far from the ski resorts, and supermarket, and great backyard space and privacy. We will definitely stay again.

Great skiing, sledding and views. Fun for everyone! This will be our annual escape.

Holiday stay
Second time gathering family here. Great layout for groups with kids - room for teens to find own space, play space for children, room for all to gather as well. Wooded space in back feels like in open space & large windows allow kids to play "independently" while being supervised. Nice size kitchen, though some small appliances didn't work & dishwasher didn't clean well & left us cleaning dishes by hand. Fridge needed to be wiped down when we arrived as well. Very cozy feel for a large cabin. Very little reception for phones/ computers - though it wasn't a big issue as we wanted an excuse to lay devices down. All in all, it's a beautiful property that needs a little TLC & maybe supervising housekeeping a bit more. All agreed we like to return.

Loved it and great for a big group!
We absolutely loved this place. We arrived right as a winter storm hit and we loved the coziness of just resting in the house. We arrived with 2 other families and we had PLENTY of room for 5 adults and 5 children under 10 to enjoy themselves. The house is spacious and comfortable and has a great feeling. You could feel the love of grandparents all around the place.
We'll be coming back!

Awesome home
We love this home and location. Our kids and grand kids go with us and there was plenty of room to play inside and out for the little ones. There were a few things that needed some detailed cleaning and a few things that needed repair but overall very wonderful vacation get away spot!
