The property in Sonoma is very welcoming. We booked this particular house because of the quiet area and we could bring out dog. The description did not include the animals that lived on the property. There were deer on the first evening and the following evenings. We were surprised to find a vulture staring at us and flying above the yard. There was also some type of dead animal in the brush in the front that the vulture was hoarding. We tried to sit in the backyard, but the vulture kept flying over us as our dog was outside with us. Then there were the neighbors roofing one of their buildings started hammering and had their music on starting at 7 am and finishing at noon.Given the animals, including a dead animal I will not be returning.

We came to Sonoma for a celebration of life so this was the perfect place to unwind and relax. Our daughter and granddaughters live a couple of blocks away and this gave us an opportunity for extra family time. The cottage was clean and well supplied but the beautiful lot and yard was the best. Graham the owner was gracious and helpful. We would definitely return here for another visit.

Booked this place as our little honeymoon suite and retreat from the rest of our family nearby. It was quiet, well appointed, clean, and relaxing Host flexible on checkin and check out with good communication. Hope to stay again

Great property clean and close to Sonoma

My husband and I have just spent 3 weeks in the Quail Run Cottage. It was the best VRBO property we have ever stayed in and the best VRBO experience we have ever had. The cottage was even nicer than it looked in the photos. It was the perfect size for the two of us. It was extremely clean and had all the amenities we needed. And Susan and Graham were so kind, responsive and welcoming. We loved our stay! Thank you!!

Property was only a mile or so from Sonoma square but yet so secluded and quiet. Best of both worlds. Close to everything but sitting on 2 acres of a quiet peaceful lot. Fruit trees everywhere! There were deer snacking on all the fruit and we were able to sit there and watch. So gorgeous! You can walk or bike to the plaza via the beautiful path behind the home.

We booked the cottage for our anniversary trip with our dog. The location was perfect, the cottage was cozy and comfortable, and it was well-stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed the beautiful property and the cottage was a perfect size for our family. We really liked the easy access to the bike trail to take daily walks and the access to various wineries and eateries. Thanks Graham and Susan for a wonderful place to stay! We will definitely stay here again!

We stayed here for our 25th anniversary. The location is great. The home is perfect for two people. Bed was comfy and we loved sitting under the lights on the back patio after a day or 3 of wine tasting. Communication was great. We would stay again.

Awesome property! Clean, bed is comfy, kitchen is well appointed, shower is great! The outdoor areas are comfortable and shaded.

Quails run was exactly as described. Seamless check in got us in our vacation as soon as we arrived. On site it’s clean and has everything you need. It minutes to everything yet away from everything. When you relax outside it’s completely private. One of our favourites was sitting outside at night in the hot tub with the beautifully starry sky. Only noise was the crickets.

The Quail Run cottage was as beautiful as the pictures posted. The cottage was well appointed with up to date furnishings, kitchen and bathroom. While we enjoyed the cottage the outdoor space was really a treat for us. We used the hot tub and our toy poodle enjoyed exploring the garden. The arbor and trees provided enough shade to relax and enjoy the warm Sonoma weather.

This was a perfect little place for a weekend getaway in Sonoma. It was nice to be within walking distance of downtown. The hot tub and laundry were both pluses. The outdoor space was beautiful! The bed was very comfortable but the sofa bed was not. Otherwise everything was perfect!!!

This place was perfect for our small group. Very close to Sonoma Town center and gorgeous backyard to sip on wine and enjoy the evening.

Everything is as advertised. We enjoyed our brief stay. The cottage was as presented, had everything we needed for our stay, and the neighborhood was quiet. Our small dog enjoyed the large yard. We walked the beautiful path behind the cottage every morning. The cottage is close to wineries in the Russian River, Sonoma, and Napa areas and many top restaurants. We will be back!

We had such a restful stay at the cottage. It was spotless, well cared for, and had everything we needed. It also stayed cool during some warm days of 90+ degrees. Was such a joy to arrive at this one on check-in day! It's tucked away on a large lot screened from neighbors by large trees and bamboo. This made it feel totally private but it was still close to amenities like grocery stores, trails, restaurants, wineries, etc. We were able to walk into town and to the Sonoma Overlook Trail for a light, scenic hike using the mostly shaded trail accessible from the back gate. The kitchen was well-equipped for light, daily meal prep (mostly salads and cheese boards for us). Besides outdoor dining and lounging, the patio also provided a tranquil, level space for yoga. The yard is mostly but not totally enclosed. It worked well for our dogs because they don't tend to run off, we don't let them outside unattended, and at night, we let them out on leash just in case. If your dog is a runner though, the yard might not work for off-leash time. This place was a highlight on our road trip. We hope to have an opportunity to stay here again the next time we're in Sonoma!

We really enjoyed being right on the bike path!

This little, historic cottage was perfect for my husband and me and our two dogs. The dogs loved the large yard and space to explore. Be aware that a large portion the yard is not fenced in - in case your dog is a runner. The wood stove is a nice cozy perk. The location is convenient for both the Sonoma and Napa areas. The hosts were very communicative and friendly.

The cottage was beautiful and had a huge backyard. The outdoor area was spacious and abutted directly to the bike path that leads to downtown. Would stay here again.

The place was great! We loved the location (so nice that it's right next to a trail), and the house was very spacious and beautiful. The sleeper sofa was not very sleepable imo, and I am the type that could sleep just about anywhere lol. We ended up pulling the mattress to the floor for support (it was sagging quite heavily in the middle). The hair dryer also wouldn' t work longer than 30 seconds, so bring your own. Other than that, we were very happy and would be back in a heartbeat.

Quail Run was a wonderful spot to chill and close to everything Sonoma. Lovely spot with lots of space around the cottage and a bike/walking path out the back gate which came in handy for after dinner walks and morning walks with the dog. I have nothing but good things to say about this place except the sofa bed has seen better days. Not comfortable at all and the AC unit if it is hot outside is like a jet engine! If neither of those two things apply to your visit you will have a perfect little spot for your get away!

Very clean. Everything you need. Owners check in to make sure you have a good experience. Love being so close to bike trail. Would rent again! Nice!

Our family of 3 fell in love with this property during our short stay. The owners have turned this cozy ranch home into an oasis of country peace just blocks from the hubbub of downtown Sonoma. We especially loved the privacy in the backyard and the cleanliness of the house, crisp bed linens and thoughtful touches like kitchen and bath amenities (shampoo, conditioner, soaps, and plenty of kitchen implements). The air conditioning was welcome during our 1st night, as temps were high, and it worked perfectly for the open layout. Finally, we enjoyed sitting in the clean 2-person hot tub. Enjoy this charming cottage on an larger private lot and watch the quail walk by. A true gem and we will be back!

Quaint and comfortable cottage for family traveling with a pet. Only a 1.5 mile beautiful walk to downtown Sonoma.. would definitely book this cottage again.

The rental property lived up to our expectations. It was comfortable, quiet, private and tranquil. We enjoyed our stay very much and felt relaxed and at home. Very close to town but rural and picturesque. Also Sonoma is centrally located to many places you might want to go such as Napa Valley, San Francisco, and the ocean. Would definitely stay at this property again.

My wife, dog, and I stayed at this property for 5 days and I must say, it was very hard to leave. Perfect sized place for 2, very comfortable, everything worked, and the property was well taken care of. The patio and yard we great for us and our dog. Near by food and activities made this a prime location to have quiet and privacy while also being a 5mim drive from town. The hosts were easy to get a hold of and helped accommodate some of the special needs we had. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

This was our third (or fourth?) stay at Quail Run Cottage and a much-needed respite from our daily routine in this COVID environment in the SF Bay Area. The place was as sparkling clean as always, as comfortable as always and we were glad for the A/C at peak mid-afternoon heat! Excellent WiFi connection for the one or two Zoom calls with friends and family. There are good restaurant take-out options, but we stayed home and cooked (propane grill, woo hoo) most of the week. Thanks to Susan and Graham for sharing your lovely home and especially for making it possible to bring our pup with us!

Darling little cottage fully appointed with everything one could want for a sunny getaway (abundant towels, A/C in living room, comfortable bed, easy living set-up, all pristinely clean) and the most glorious open space (seating under a pergola, massive oak with happy squirrels, fruit treat, sunny picnic table that gets perfect warm shade by 7pm in July). Absolutely loveliest hosts and a sense of being welcomed into their super central, super quiet sunny spot. Loved our time there!

We had an excellent stay at Susan and Graham’s cottage. The place was clean, warm and homey. Our dogs had space to play in the back yard while we sat amongst the beautiful gardens and drank wine from local vineyards. This is a must stay for those looking for a peaceful getaway close to town yet far enough to have space and privacy. Absolutely loved it and hope to be back next year. Thanks Susan and Graham
