Great location, right on the sound, beautiful sunsets

Love being right on the sound and the screened in porch! They provide items not usually provided, such as sheets, towels, paper towels and toilet paper! Short walk to the beach. Loved it!!

We enjoyed our stay at the house! This location is what makes it so wonderful. We are sound lovers so seeing the water and being able to get out there is what we care about and this did not disappoint. The house is an island original. Lovely old pine wood adorns the home. Thanks for the wonderful week!

Finding a new safe place for my mom in her 90s to visit Topsail was my mission and this cottage hit the mark. We had no problem getting to the beach. While at the same time the screen porch and view of the sound were perfect for peace and quiet

We really enjoyed our stay. This cottage is in a great location just feet from the water in the sound side and short 2 block walk to the beach. We enjoyed beach time and launching paddle boards from the public access adjacent to the property. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

The location of this property was fantastic... located right on the intracoastal and only a 2-min walk to the nearest beach access point. The big window in the living room looking out over the water was wonderful, too!

We have been going to Topsail for many years and we have past it on to our three children - adults now. This old style cottage with a ship like interior makes for a fun stay. It was a bummer we could not use the long peer, But I’m sure it will be rebuilt in time. With all the beauty in Topsail, the sunsets were just awesome to watch through the big picture window, or going out and sitting on the bench by the water! Just beautiful!!!

We loved this place. It felt like what a vacation home should be. The home was just as described and we didn't have any issues at all. We would have loved to use the pier, but we understand that things happen and take time to repair. But it was great having the sound access right next to the house. That came in handy. We paddle boarded everyday! The kids loved visiting the little islands when it was low tide. Thanks so much for a great trip. We will probably be staying here again!

The house was in a great location to beach access and sound. The house was clean. The dock out to the water could use repairs. Steps to the water would have been great. We enjoyed the view from the window for sure!! The only thing is if you have teenage children their was no WiFi.

This was the perfect place for a small family gathering. It is a true beach cottage, a bit dated but perfectly adequate and super clean. The kitchen is well equipped and 2 full bathrooms as well as a very large outdoor shower left no one waiting. The very large screened porch was basically where everyone hung out with always a great breeze. The location is perfect with huge dock and water in the back and a 2 minute walk to the beach. The dock is in pretty rough shape and can be a bit dangerous- wish they’re were steps to the water at the end. Only other issues; the bathroom shower doors drip onto the floors and the cleaning service should allow for more towels per person. These are not major concerns and the owner was very accommodating and hopefully we can stay here for years to come. This is our new favorite spot!

House is well kept and in great shape. The pier is a bit worn out however. The house is very charming and we would definitely stay again. The only thing missing from this property is true outdoor seating. The house sits in a great spot and could use a nice porch or patio facing the sound to enjoy the sunsets and view. House is well stocked and is in a perfect location.

Property was just what we needed. Awesome sunset views on the sound, great dock for fishing and crabbing (probably needs to be replaced soon), nice outside screened porch and easy beach access. House is old and dated but is value priced and flexible with booking, no need to stay a whole week. We will definitely stay here again. Owners sent e mail prior to check in with contact info but we didn't need to bother them. Felt comfortable that they were accessible if necessary.

We loved staying here. We have stayed at various houses in topsail, and this place was the most accommodating. It is stocked with plenty of glasses, dishes, silverware, detergent, sheets, towels, etc. The location on a dead end street was great for the kids to ride their scooters outside.It has such a rustic feel. Each bedroom has saloon doors or regular doors for more privacy. The a/c worked fine and kept the temperature very comfortable. The dining room table and the patio table both have seating for 6 so everyone has room. The window in the living room has a great view of the river and sunsets. The only downside in my opinion it there is no wifi (but everyone had good phone signals). We will be back next year!

Overall I thought our beach vacation stay was a great one! The house had everything we needed and was extremely clean. It was exactly as described and the pictures were exact. The kitchen had more supplies than any other place I've ever stayed at. The dock was beautiful to walk on in the morning and enjoy your coffee but shoes are a must. The house was extremely clean and all the linens were bleached and I felt good about using them. My only suggestion with the linens is that we didn't have a bath mat and therefore had to use the hand towels for the floor mat. The house was large enough for my husband, daughters and my mother who decided to come last minute. We had so much space inside that we could have stayed 2 weeks comfortably. My mother appreciated that they're were no stairs. I LOVED the covered patio it was amazing to sit out there at all times of the day and be nice and cool and not have to be bothered by bugs. I used the patio the most out of all the rooms. The beach was a quick and easy, one minute walk even carrying all our beach gear. Topsail Beach is now one of my favorite beaches, as it wasn't crowded at all. My daughters and mother said that their beds were very comfortable but I found that our bed was a bit squeaky and harder than I would have liked. The bedrooms had blinds but no curtains so by 7am it was very bright in all the rooms. We get up early so it wasn't a problem but it might be if you like to sleep in. I believe the owners really thought of the little things like hanging racks in the bedroom and bathrooms made its easy to keep everything off the floors. The bathrooms have little tables to place toiletries which was very helpful. The ceramic floors made evening easy to clean and sweep up any sand that snuck in. This is absolutely one of my favorite rentals and the cons were minor and easily fixed. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.
