Castle Island Getaway si trova a mezzo isolato dalla pittoresca e non affollata Pebble Beach di Crescent City, in California. I nostri ospiti soggiornano in una zona giorno al piano superiore che comprende una cucina e un bagno aggiornati. La camera da letto al piano superiore ha un letto matrimoniale con un cuscino per un maggiore comfort. Le finestre offrono una vista sulla superficie boschiva, i suoni dell'oceano e la visione della vita selvaggia locale. Vi è un ampio spazio armadio per soggiorni prolungati. Al piano inferiore c'è una camera da letto aggiuntiva con un divano letto che può essere convertito in due letti singoli e un bagno aggiuntivo.
Le incredibili sequoie sono un piacere tutto l'anno nella contea di Del Norte! A soli quindici minuti di auto a est dalla nostra casa sulla spiaggia vi porta a Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park. La zona è anche conosciuta per la bellezza incontaminata della famosa gola selvaggia e panoramica di Smith River. Ottimo per la pesca, il rafting e il nuoto.
Le nostre attività primaverili ed estive includono ciclismo, escursionismo, kayak, vela, surf, nonché osservazione di fiori selvatici e fauna selvatica. La pesca del salmone e della steelhead è disponibile da ottobre a febbraio e l'osservazione delle balene si svolge da dicembre a marzo. L'arrivo delle oche Aleutine all'Isola di Castello mentre migrano verso nord è un evento spettacolare da febbraio a marzo. La natura è abbondante nella contea di Del Norte per tutto l'anno e il facile accesso alla spiaggia offre ai nostri ospiti la possibilità di esplorare piscine di marea e ammirare tramonti spettacolari lungo Pebble Beach.

As always Bill and Linda went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect. Great stay for small families or couples. 2 minute walk and you are on the beach!

Fantastic location (few minutes from a beautiful beach), cute little cabin with the owners close by if you need anything. Awesome communicafion from the owners. Will definitely be back if we're in the area again!

This was conveniently located to access a very beautiful beach for walking, running and exploring tide pools or seeing the sun set. The only concern was the bedrooms which were not as expected or suitable for 2 couples. May not even be suitable for a family of 4 unless ok with having the kids downstairs next to the entrance. The main bedroom did not have a wall or door and opened right into the kitchen and the lower room was not actually a bedroom with proper beds. There was a day bed and single cot(not a full size twin )crammed into the entry way/laundry room. It was also dusty and hot.

Very nice at the end of a short street just across from the ocean. Linda checked in with us several times to be sure we were settled in. Would highly recommended staying here if you visit Crescent City.

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely home! Very clean and beautifully decorated! Just a quick walk down the road to the most beautiful sunsets over the Pacific Ocean! Only about 10-15 minutes to visit the Redwoods as described. The hosts are wonderful and there if you need anything!

Our family of four had so much fun in Cresent City! We were able to walk to the beach every single day. I got to drink my morning coffee at the dining table every morning and see the ocean when the weather was clear. House was clean and everything was provided for us, even the laundry and dryer sheets! I would definitely stay again.

Good location right by pebble beach. Try to find the whole rainbow of colored rocks on the beach! The town employs a lot of people at the federal prison.

We absolutely loved the location of this cottage for our adventures in the Redwoods and the beach. Beautiful, bright and modern with unique touches to make it interesting and relaxing. The accommodations for a family of 4 were perfect.

Stopping on our trip down coastal Highway 1, my wife and I enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and proximity to the ocean. The place was clean and roomy. Bill made sure the bike tires were fully inflated.

Just as advertised, there is a staircase to the beach within steps of the property. Bill and Linda were a joy as hosts. We informed about a few ants which I'm sure have been addressed by now. Everything functioned well. Nice big washer and dryer.

Our family needed a night stay to start our redwood forest hiking vacation. This property was perfect for us. Super clean and organized. Very short walk to the beach!

Linda was a great host, and the cottage was excellent! Updated and clean, and well stocked. Of course the location can’t be beat, just steps from ocean.

The property is in a nice location. It is very close to the beach for great views, and low tide tidal pool exploration. It is also in a convenient proximity to the Redwood forests. We were able to explore the forest as close as 20 minues away, and alo went further along the beautiful highway 101 south for hours of amazing Redwood exploration. We had text and phone contact before the stay with the owners, and they were very nice and helpful with their suggestions for places to see, and what to do. The place was clean and well equiped for a short or ling star, inclusding laundry. We really appreciated the directions they left, " don't do the laundry, take out the trash, or do the dishes...just enjoy your stay, thats our job!" We did clean througj a bit, and dishes, and generally made sure it wasn't a mess, but thats who we are, and would do anyway. We have been many places that are a bit ridiculous obout what the expect as far as cleaning, etc. upon checkout, so we loved to be told to just chill, and dont worry.
The only thing that we would have anything negative to say, is that the living room furniture is a bit dated, undersized, and not comfortable. That quick change out of that furniture would mekr the place just that much better. There one little complaint, the dining and shopping options in crescent city are not great,place, great price when qe booked it, probably not always, and we would recommend it for aa 3 or 4 person fa!mily to be comfortable. It was a great vacation

Our stay was simply Magical. Linda was amazing with communicating through texts and calls. They were accommodating when we asked to stay an additional day to visit the nearby Redwoods. This is definitely our go to place to stay when we come by this way again on our travels. The house feels like a cozy home that suited the stormy weather outside. Thank you for providing a haven to two traveling sisters.

My family and I truly enjoyed our stay here! Bill and Linda were great hosts, very friendly and helpful. The house was comfortable and clean! They have gone above and beyond to make their vacation home feel like home. The house is conveniently located next to the beautiful Jedediah Smith State Park where we were able to walk among the giant Redwoods. It is also just steps away from the beach. We enjoyed the best of both worlds! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us as we tour the 50 states! This was an outdoor family's dream!

My friend and I met up in northern California and southern Oregon for some national park hiking and for our Redwood State and National Park leg of the trip, we stayed here in Crescent City. It was a perfect location for the northern part of the park and Bill and Linda were excellent hosts. We had the little spot to ourselves and it had all the amenities we needed for a no-frills stay. It is not a large space and the second bed is only a twin, so make sure it will meet your needs, but we appreciated the convenience, the cleanliness, the access to laundry for our sweaty duds and the kitchen had all we needed for our simple stay. The hosts communicated clearly and quickly. We had a great time.

We enjoyed our stay. We were looking for quiet get away and this was perfect. Bill and Linda were lovely hosts who put care into their place. Location was great - 500 feet from Pebble Beach and just 20 minutes to the beautiful Jebediah Redwood State Park. Would stay there again.

Enjoyed the location but would prob not have rented if I realized we would be sharing our outdoor relaxing space with the homeowners (both homes on same lot, same yard).
