This property could not have been better! The owners went the extra mile to provide for the comfort and happiness of their guests. We loved our flat ~ it was roomy, beautifully decorated and just a pleasant place to call home for a few days. The town of Fayetteville is charming and outdoor/nature activities abound. We hope to return!

The Lafayette Flats are a great place to stay when visiting the New River Gorge. Our flat was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We also enjoyed being in town close to shops and restaurants.

Everything went smoothly start to finish during our stay at the Nuttall Suite in Lafayette Flats. Communication from the hosts was excellent and the flat was beyond clean, comfortable and well appointed. The decor was inviting and filled with beautiful and whimsical art work and Knick knacks. A notebook containing info regarding the history of Fayetteville as well as eateries was helpful. We had a great time hiking, white water rafting, and doing the Bridge Walk. Everyone in this town so helpful and friendly! Two cute stores located right near the flats as well as restaurants you can walk to. Can’t say enough about the cleanliness and extra touches at Lafayette Flats!

This is our second time staying in Lafayette Flats, but our first time in Nuttall. We got married in the area during our first stay and had a perfect experience with the hosts and the property. In fact, our stay in the Flats contributed to some wonderful wedding weekend memories that will last a lifetime. Returning after five years was surreal as we celebrated an important milestone in our marriage. The Nuttall room was impeccably clean and the decor was so creative. It even gave us some fun ideas for our own house! The check-in process was seamless and the expanded parking options since last time made that part even easier. The location is convenient to everything in the area. We couldn’t recommend Lafayette Flats enough. NRG now has the National Park status it deserves, and Lafayette Flats are a fitting world-class lodging option.

After previously staying in Quinnimont (and LOVING it), my husband and I decided we'd like to try Nuttall as well. My goodness, we were not disappointed. Staying in the flats for almost an entire week left us feeling rejuvenated, creatively inspired, and anticipating our next stay already. When planning your visit don't forget to schedule time to enjoy the flats themselves: the WV themed library, DVDs, soaking in the tub (especially delightful after a long day of adventuring), puzzles and games, cooking in the kitchen, sipping coffee in some of the comfiest seating, the list goes on. I cannot recommend staying at Lafayette Flats enough nor could I recommend visiting Fayetteville, itself, enough. The possibilities for your trip are endless and your stay at The Flats will be the icing on the cake.

Property just 2 rooms and a bathroom but really set up well. So comfortable! Really felt at home. Loved the history!

My husband and I loved our stay at Lafayette flats. We were there to hike in the gorge and the flat was the perfect launching point. Great walkable location to shops and restaurants. The bed was super comfy and the shower was wonderful after a long hike. I wish I had made time for a soak in the tub too. There are lots of places to curl up with a good book too. The flat was filled with natural light and wonderful art. I highly recommend staying there. I’m sure we will be back.

Amy and Shawn’s place is wonderful! Great location, extremely clean, and beautifully decorated! They have truly thought of everything to make a stay at Lafayette Flats cozy and comfy. Communication with Amy and Shawn before, during, and after our stay was amazing! It is evident that they enjoy hosting travelers at their accommodations, and they excel at it. If you are heading to the New River Gorge area, I highly recommend a stay at Lafayette Flats. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Amy and Shawn for a fabulous getaway!

This flat was exactly what we were looking for and was exactly as pictured on the listing!! The space allowed for relaxing evenings in after long days hiking and touring the town. Every detail was considered, down to the black “makeup” towel in the bathroom. I LOVE little details. My husband and I also really appreciated and used the binder with location and restaurant suggestions. We had planned quite a few activities prior to arrival but the binder helped us to add a few other activities/locations we weren’t aware of in to our trip. Cannot say enough good things about the flat/location of the flat. We walked to almost every restaurant we ate at during our stay! Perfect, Perfect, perfect!!! :)

Wonderfully appointed flat on the heart of Fayetteville. One of the nicer rentals. Decor is tasteful and interesting. Loved it.

We enjoyed our stay at Fayetteville Flats. It’s a cute, little grouping of three (or four) flats in a location that is ideal for going to The New River Gorge and surrounding areas for hiking and sight seeing and rafting, etc. The apartments are decorated nicely with really top notch art and new furniture. It was a small space - especially the living area and cooking was tricky but it’s close to many restaurants. Parking behind the building is easy and you can park out front to unload. If you have a lot of stuff, the flight of stairs is a bit of a drag - especially after hiking all day. It would be ideal if the flats had some outdoor space but… don’t know how they’d do it.

Nothing comes close if you are staying in Fayetteville to visit the new river gorge bridge. Clean, safe and well decorated.

We enjoyed our stay at Lafayette Flats very much. The location was perfect for walking to shops, restaurants, and the farmers’ market. Fayetteville is such a cool little town. The condo was exactly as advertised and had everything you could possibly need. We liked looking out the big windows to the town square. And I specifically enjoyed the soaking tub after long days hiking in the National Park.

Lafayette Flats is the ideal place to stay to explore New River Gorge and the area. It is so clean and no detail is missing -- design, comfort, things you might have forgotten. The guides for hiking and restaurants ensure you have an ideal stay. It is clear this is a labor of love for the owners, and I can't wait to go back for our third stay.

From the prompt and frequent communication with the owner to all the little details that were so thoughtfully provided, this little gem of a place was one of the very best places I've ever vacationed. There was so much to enjoy about the property that it was almost a waste to have so many activities planned that took us out of our accommodations! It was like staying in a museum - a very comfortable museum where touching is allowed! The town is lovely. The pace of our days was perfect - slower, undemanding, plenty of time to breathe. Starting the day in this comfortable room was the way to ease into a full day. Being able to return for a late afternoon respite before the evening was wonderful. And then relaxing evenings overlooking the town as the sun settled down for the night were soothing. Nuttall was a balm for all the over-scheduled days in our non-vacation lives. The owners' provided so much information that there was never a question we had that wasn't answered by the details and information left for us. The ease of getting in and out of the building and the room was great, and we always felt very safe. Every time I walked up the stairs or into my room I always found something new that I hadn't seen before. The bed was comfortable; the bathroom was marvelous. Every kitchen item we needed was provided. The area was so friendly and we enjoyed multiple walks around the town and visits in the quaint, unique shops. The food was outstanding. The owners of Lafayette Flats left all kinds of suggestions for things to do, places to go, and where to eat and it was very helpful. I enjoyed reading the framed newspaper articles about the beginnings of Lafayette Flats and the artist residency programs. Thank you Amy and Shawn for sharing your inspirations with us and for providing a unique and enjoyable get-away. I plan to buy gift certificates to give and we will be back ourselves!

The Layfette Flats far exceeded my husband and I's expectations! We loved everything the moment we walked in the door. The art, the cleanliness, the comfort-it was all there! Amy also checked in on us to ensure we were comfortable and had what we needed. It was nice to come back after a day of adventures and play a board game (there were several to pick from) or watch a movie by one of my fav directors (Wes Anderson). We cannot recommend staying here enough and hope to make it back!

Extremely clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was provided and the owner even checked on us after we arrived. The hikes we did were a short drive from the flat and the restaurants were all within walking distance.
