This is our second stay at this property. The unit and location could not be any better. Unit has everything needed for your stay.

The property was exactly how it listed. Very clean and convenient. The unit had everything we could want or need. Location was perfect walking distance to the beach and zoo even for 2 toddlers. Nice, quiet neighborhood. We had a great relaxing time!

The place was cute and clean as described, and it was very close to the beach which we enjoyed a lot. However, after a long day of being in the sun and water, we couldn’t sleep very well because all the beds were very firm even for me who likes a firm mattress. Part of the check out process is to put the towels in the washer and dryer and we also had to take out the trash and strip the beds. Overall though, we enjoyed our stay!

The location was perfect for us. The walk to the beach was short. The place was comfortable and had what we needed for our stay. I was worried when we arrived as the front door was in need of some attention. It needs to be scrubbed and/or painted. I agree with other comments about washing the towels. I think that adds a little pressure to vacationers as they prepare for departure. I’ve never stayed anywhere that required that. Overall good place and the owner was very responsive.

This place was a perfect walk to the beach! It was super helpful to have beach items available for us to use such as a wagon, umbrella and chairs. The house was clean and simple.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Proximity to the beach was great. Owner provided beach chairs and a wagon to transport all of our stuff! We appreciated the little things such as body wash, shampoo and conditioner that was provided as well as plenty of paper towels, TP and cleaning suppliers. The only negatives...the mattresses were as hard as a rock and the couches were fairly uncomfortable. Simply replacing throw pillows on the couches might help. For what is charged to stay at this unit you might want to consider replacing the mattresses or adding pillow toppers. I would also suggest adding some type of drawers in the bedrooms.

We were traveling from NC for our grandchildren dance recital. They live in Valparaiso and we were able to spend time with them. The girls loved the house. Sand toys. And close walk to beach.

It was a cute clean house. They supplied soap along with shampoo and conditioner. Plenty of towels for showering and also for the beach. There was a coffee maker, a keurig, and a toaster. Pots, pans and utensils. Plates and cups of course. The beds were spring beds. They were firm but not too firm. The side deck was perfect for morning coffee or a meal. They also supply several beach chairs, an umbrella, and toys. We walked about a mile to the zoo. It was bigger than you’d think. The beach was a 5 minute walk. Close distance to restaurants. Definitely check out Harbor Country Adventures, Sea Rock Adventures. It’s a speed boat tour of the dunes and local history. Perfect for thrill seekers! It’s a mile away.

It was a great quick vacation for us. The house is so close to the water and a very quick drive to great restaurants.

Overall the apartment is nice enough with updated finishes but the couches were badly stained, the bedrooms were small and the mattresses/pillows were BAD. So thin and uncomfortable. We ended up driving the hour home on our last night instead of sleeping and leaving in the morning just to avoid another restless night. Think in hindsight it’s pricey for what it is. We also had to do a lot of required cleaning (take all trash out, wash and dry towels, strip beds) so not sure why the cleaning fee is as high as it is.

My 4 and 6 year old boys loved riding their bikes to the beach each day.

Property was clean and easy to find. Plenty of supplies (soaps, etc). Great communication with host. Short walk to beach. We were only here 2 nights, but we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay.

Our first trip to Lake Michigan was a great and we enjoyed our stay. Duplex was clean and well maintained. Lots of towels. Appreciated the beach chairs and toys. Plenty of paper towels, clean up supplies, etc. Utensils and pots and pans were meh but not unexpected for a vacation rental. Nice appliances. We had a one year old new walker with us and this place was pretty babyproof. Appreciated that the canoe type bookcase was secured to wall and we used cushions to block off fireplace edges. Only suggestion would be to add a window covering on the glass of the main entry door. Michigan City was too cute. It was the off season so it was pretty quiet but this place is a great location to the park, beach, zoo, restaurants, brewery, and more. I guess the quickest way to the beach on foot would be via the park nextdoor--- we weren't exactly sure. We drove down most of the time because it was easier with baby and they weren't charging (offseason). The zoo is small but very cute. We enjoyed visiting the National Lakeshore, Zorn Brewery, Lakeshore Coffee Shop, and Royale Burgers. We had a delivery of groceries from Wal-Mart delivered on our first night which worked out perfectly. Thanks!

The property was great!! Perfect for family of 5. Very clean and updated. Everything we needed for the stay and the beach was supplied. Location is ideal for beach, zoo, and park! Would not hesitate to book again.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this property. They had everything we needed and we got a lot of use out of the beach umbrella and chairs. It was perfect for our 4th of July vacation.

Overall, the "cabin" was clean and efficient. Had most everything we needed. However, there weren't any instructions for the TV, so we weren't able to use it at all, even though the TV came on, the remotes either didn't work or we weren't able to figure them out. After a heavy rain storm, there was water on the kitchen floor in the morning. We aren't sure what the cleaning fee covers, since we were asked to strip all the bedding off the beds, wash any towels/washcloths we used, dry them too, and take out the trash before leaving. Seemed a bit high if we had to do all of that!

the condo was adorable. looked just like the pics. walking distance to beach and zoo. adorable little getaway. only complaint was the hard mattress, but i like my memory foam, so it would be fine for those preferring a firmer mattress. still a great place to stay.

Great location, walkable to beach and Michigan City arts district. The house offers the necessities, including beach chairs and umbrella. Nice deck off the kitchen—perfect for morning coffee.

Overall this property is a decent value. (2) twins, (1) dbl., (1) queen sleeper sofa. Sleeps 5 at a maximum. Cleaning fee is unfair. Between two different guests, cleaning crew spent no more than 10min on each occasion “cleaning” apt next door. Our apt (126 Prairie) was generally clean, but not spotless: cobwebs in ceiling corners (complete w/dead bugs), filthy broiler (someone’s old toast still in there), feet turned black just walking around inside the apartment, sand in washer bleach dispenser & around washer rim, crumbs around dishwasher seal. Most things were in working condition, but found it a bit dangerous that the bathroom sink top was not glued down. Location is good: walking distance to the zoo, park & play lots, marina, and beach. No direct access to beach. Walk to the beach totals ~3blks plus the dune, and requires about 1 block along Lake Shore Dr (busy highway, but navigated commonly by pedestrians). You’ll need to drive for groceries no matter what and, if you have little kids, restaurants too. Private deck exposed to next door neighbors, but neighbors are great. Nice space on deck. Grilling set up is good. Kitchen could use more tools, but one can improvise. Beach umbrella, chairs, and sand toys ready to use. Management team is very responsive.

Everything we needed was provided, the home was clean and very cozy. The owner left clear rules and expectations for stay. Loved location, the people were very friendly and we would definitely stay again.

First time to Michigan City, was surprised in a good way. Really good food within walking distance, relaxing vibe, and this property is a very short walk to the beach. Recommended!

This lovely home is clean, comfy, and very pretty with lots of natural sunlight! It was a real treat to have the beach just a l five minute walk away from the property. It was neat to be able to see Chicago's skyline from the beach's shoreline. The host was extremely communicative about the beach possibly being closed down since there was a beach closure in August. The host did well with providing alternative beaches to visit if the nearby Sheridan beach was closed. To avoid crowds of people, we found it best to visit the beach during the weekdays and in the early mornings. This was the perfect getaway for a change of scenery! Looking forward to visiting again!

Cute place. Very clean and well stocked with everyday items such as TP, paper towel, linens, towels and washing liquids. Just a quick walk to the beach. Friendly people and town. Owner is responsive and helpful. We will be back!

We enjoy coming to this house - this is the third year in a row. We were anticipating renting 128 but ended up at 126. I hope that next year we can have 128 again. Thanks

Great place for small family we loved it,but the grill was very dirty and could not grill it caught fire,and the vents need cleaning!the remodel was great I would rent again!

This house is just like the pictures! Clean, beautifully decorated and a perfect location. We loved our stay and will definitely return.
