This house was wonderful. The pictures really don't do the interior justice. There is so much attention to detail and interior design that just felt right. It was nice to see a house with such high quality of craftmanship. Our group was also impressed with the quality of the appliances, cookware and all the amenities that were available. In many rental homes, so many rooms are locked off, but this one made the lake toys, ping pong and even some tools available which came in handy. It felt more like we were staying with a friend. The lower master has a steam room and everyone kept taking turns with the steam shower. The mornings are simply amazing on the deck. The water is calm and we watched humming birds flit by us many times while eagles flew overhead. The sunsets were amazing as the sun set over the mouth of bottle bay. We have so many great pictures from this location. The property manager was attentive and enjoyable to work with. We have stayed at many rental homes and this one is quite possibly the nicest one and we are planning to rent it again next year.

This property was all that...and then some. First of all, our family ended up visiting in later June during an all time record heat wave. Temperature highs were between 100-108 degrees every day. Thankfully the home was furnished with three air-conditioning units and fans so it was extremely pleasant to hang out in during the day as well as sleeping at night. AC isn't always a reality for lake houses in this part of the country but it was a real plus for our family. The dock is great for the kids and adults. You can jump off the dock into probably 12-15 feet of water and swim or float in tubes. There are 2 ladders leading up to the dock so easy in and out. We also fished from the dock and caught quite a few smallmouth bass. The water temperature was absolutely perfect, although the neighbors shared that nobody typically swims in the lake that time of year because its typically too cold. Well the weather obviously warmed the water and it was quite refreshing. The house itself was immaculate, clean, and had everything you needed to cook. We used the grill almost everyday and it was directly connected to a gas line so no propane needed. The kids loved that there was a smart tv and the home has Directv so almost everything you wanted to watch you could. Additionally, we had strong Wifi at the home so no issues with iPads or cell phones. I guess if you're looking to unplug for a week you might need to turn off your phone. Because you are in a remote location nothing is close by. Meaning, if you need anything from the store its a solid 30 minute drive. There is a little general store down the road about 15 minutes away in Garfield Bay called Odie's. They have what you'd typically find in a 7-Eleven with a large selection of beer! The road leading to the home and out to Sandpoint is very curvy and narrow at some points. I'd imagine it might be more difficult to navigate in the winter but during the summer it was pretty easy. Lots of deer and turkey along the roadsides. Another review said the bedrooms were like a hotel. Totally agree. Both masters are over the top with 5 star bathrooms attached. Something you'd probably never think you would find in a lake home. Again, the place was well kept and modern. We'd definitely return and if you plan on staying there during the summer I would highly suggest getting a boat to rent. The lake is absolutely gorgeous and there is a marina right across the bay, very convenient.

The home was well maintained, very clean and was fully stocked with all the items that you need for a stay in a VRBO. Would highly recommend this home for all four seasons! Jeanine and Britten were great to work with, look forward to staying here in again in the future.

This is one of the nicest rentals we've stayed in with our family. The huge windows showcased the lake from two angles, making the living area feel even more spacious and relaxing. The heated floors were awesome, furniture and beds were comfortable, and the huge kitchen area was perfect for making meals with a party of 6 coming in and out of the kitchen area. We would happily stay here again.

Not only was the home beautiful it was extremely clean. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen was amazing and we loved the drop down tv!! Would love to rent this home again.

We loved this house, and would book it again if we come back to Idaho in the future. The house has great views, amazing star viewing at night, a great wide open kitchen/family room space, along with a nice dock. We rented a boat for the whole week, and would highly recommend this as well. Accessing restaurants on a boat is a lot more fun than driving.

Beautiful modern home on a remote lot on Bottle Bay. Spotlessly clean with amazing luxury touches throughout, including a steam shower in the downstairs master bath. Plenty of room for big families and guests. Wonderful kitchen with extras like an espresso maker. Composite decking on the house and dock so no splinters (thumbs up emoji!). Plenty of parking, and a turn around area to accommodate boat trailers. Great house manager who's been with the property since construction. Very responsive and treated us like family. The main floor is big and open with high ceilings, so it can get loud with lots of adults and kids talking at once. The a/c is from three Mitsubishi units (one in the main room, one in the master, and one centrally located downstairs). The temperature was well above average during our stay and the downstairs bedrooms got stuffy at night with the doors closed. During normal temps with the windows open it won't be a problem. It's near the end of a long gravel road, so plan for fewer trips out by car and use the boat instead!

Our 3-generation family of 12 gathered here for Grandma’s 70th birthday. We are a very active group, and the Smith house was perfect for us. We had lots of water toys and fishing gear, and the fun never stopped. We only left the house a couple of times, and that was to get more food for the troops! The home was spotless, the kitchen large and so well-equipped, plenty of seating both inside and out — it was everything “advertised” and more, including really nice neighbors. The only negative was that one week was not enough, and the family’s unanimous vote is that we will return!

We had an amazing week! The house is beautiful and set up with everything you could possibly need. The views of the lake are gorgeous. Many great hiking trails nearby. Owner and property manager friendly and helpful.

We loved our stay in bottle bay! The house was amazing - great location with a perfect setup for our family. The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were huge. Our boys loved the steam shower downstairs! The kitchen was the most well-equipped kitchen we've ever had in a rental home. It had almost every gadget and appliance you could think of. The view of the water was the best! Sunny side of the lake, large deck with protection for our boat. Couldn't have asked for anything better.

This property was gorgeous. The dual masters was perfect for two couples or older children. Bottle Bay is a quiet, upscale bay with a marina / restaurant right across the bay that is lovely. The home has everything you could possibly need, the views and multiple decks that “follow the sun” are perfect. We had 6 of us and was more than enough room. We actually hoped for rain one day to enjoy the beautiful inside of the home but we had two weeks of perfect weather!!! Super friendly, and helpful owner and property manager. They even sent tips while we were there if interesting things to do and see. Slight hill to the water for very senior people.

This home is top notch...from the furnishings to the kitchen appliances!! We have rented lake homes for the past 6 years and this was hands down our best experience. Fished from boat and dock and caught in both places. The water play was a hit for youngsters, and the grand parents loved the lake view and fire pit. It was a perfect place for all ages for a family vacation. The property manager went above and beyond, and the owner communicated exceptionally! We did not want to leave!

We had a group of 6 adults and 6 kids and the house accommodated us perfectly. The dock and bay were perfect for our boat and access to Sandpoint and other restaurants on the lake was easy by boat. Highly recommend this house.

Our family enjoyed a wonderful stay on Bottle Bay. The home was very accommodating, from docking our Boat, enjoying the outside deck for meals, and the sleeping accommodations were perfect. A beautiful clean home! Excited to go back next year!

Honestly, I thought about not leaving a review because I didn't want to share how perfect this place is, for fear of having a hard time booking next year. But, the owner and the property manager were so nice to us, and the house was nothing short of incredible... It just wouldn't be nice not to rave. This house is beautiful and comfortable and so luxurious. We love being on the sunny side of Bottle Bay, too. Even the neighbors are friendly and nice. We loved everything about renting this house, and felt like guests, not renters. We didn't want to leave. If I had to say something negative at all, it'd be that the pull out sofa wasn't comfortable, but with the amount of beds in the house, we didn't need to use it anyway. The kitchen is well stocked with upscale dinnerware and glassware and appliances, the bed linens were quality, the beach towels were plentiful (what a change from having to bring our own, too!), the firewood was replenished with a smile when we ran out. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating - we wanted for absolutely nothing while we were there. I could go on and on about all the things we appreciated - that's how perfect this property is. Thank you so much for a week of great memories in a such a gorgeous house on the lake!

We just completed our second stay at this beautiful house on the lake and we can't wait to come back! The house is wonderfully situated on Bottle Bay, a quieter and calmer inlet on the lake which makes it perfect for those seeking a peaceful haven and also for smoother water activities like paddle boarding and kayaking and swimming. Across the bay at the marina you can rent boats and jet skis and dock them right in front of the house! The house itself is both roomy and beautiful. We loved cooking in the large, modern kitchen. We have great memories of BBQ-ing and enjoying dinner on the deck overlooking the bay! When the weather was hot, you could always find at least one of our party relaxing on the lower patio, lounging in the shade in the comfortable patio furniture. At least once during each stay we've built a fire in the fire pit and roasted marshmallows, a must do! The bedrooms are clean and comfortable and the bathrooms are all beautiful and large. A great house for a family gathering! Between the three downstairs bedrooms there is also a great family room for lounging. Plenty of room for the whole family. If you stay here, you will never want to leave!

We had the best time at our annual family reunion last week in this lovely home on the lake. We're a group of three families and have been meeting for many years now, selecting different homes at different locations around the northwest. This home receives our best rating because it's the best in so many ways. The best equipped kitchen ever (!!), sharing owners who provided beach towels and floaties for the lake, and the amenities of staying in a new home. Bedrooms and baths were perfect. Even the neighbors were friendly and our grandkids played with theirs. Really- this home is all about being in the lap of luxury and being remote.

My group (two sisters, two teenagers) really enjoyed our stay on Bottle Bay over the Labor Day weekend. The house has a simple, modern design that was quite comfortable, giving us plenty of room to sit and look at the lake from different vantage points. The topline bathroom features were a hit with everyone. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking appliances, etc., so we ate in for most of our meals. We really enjoyed all the different places to sit and look out at the water - from the living room, the upper deck, the lower deck, the dock. Very relaxing. We are hoping to return next summer and make this an annual tradition!

The house is very new, clean and well stocked. The homeowner and caretaker were both wonderful to work with. We would start each day with coffee on the deck overlooking the lake and finish it with a bonfire while enjoying the same breathtaking view. The house is a little more remote than I had thought, but maybe that is a good thing as it forces you to relax because going out isn't practical. Stock up on groceries on your way in and let yourself unwind. I would definitely recommend bringing or renting a boat so you can truly experience Lake Pend Oreille and more easily access Sandpoint.

Everything about this property was great. The accommodations were perfect for our large family gathering of 12. The bunk rooms slept the 4 teenagers perfectly, the pullout sofa was perfect for the two little ones and the three bedrooms were more than comfortable for all of the adults! The house has a wide open plan and there are amazing views of the lake from almost every room. The kitchen and family room is very spacious with more than enough amenities...and did I mention the view? A completely unobstructed wonderful view of the lake. While the inside is great, for us, the outside was better seeing this is where we spent most of our time, including on the spacious deck overlooking the lake. One of the best parts of this property is that the lake is only a few steps away and the dock is built into the ground (not floating) so it is solid and BIG. Plenty of room for lawn chairs, basking in the sun and even more room for the kids to jump into the water...all at once. All while still having room to dock our boat and SeaDoo (on a separate PWC floating dock which is a great addition). Marina to fuel up is right across the bay and the bay traffic is minimal...during the week, nonexistent! Between the dock and the house is plenty of grass for the kids to play games and a separate deck to overlook the lake, read, enjoy the sun...or sit and enjoy a campfire in the fire pit on a starry night. Neighbors on both sides are very friendly and willing to offer up suggestions on where to go and what to do...and with all of the opportunities around this property, winter, spring, summer and fall...there is plenty to do and see! A great time had by all and we will be returning next year!
