We walked everywhere including the Discovery Center, City Park, and beautiful adjacent neighborhoods. Everything in the house was in great shape and so well organized! It’s a lovely old fashioned house.

We have stayed several times at this unique cottage on Houston Street. It is very clean and comfortable. It is in a great location within walking distance to downtown with restaurants and shopping. The cottage offers basically everything we needed, especially the kitchen. We definitely will plan to stay there again if it is available.

Family and grandchild visit. Very clean inside, but huge disappointment with the grill. I like to cook out, but it was so dirty and covered in ants!! The $$ cleaning deposit should be refunded to be for that! I had everything ready to grill, and couldn't. Just really disappointed!! The parking in back is nice, but residents across alley cannot comprehend that someone may be staying across the alley. Be very careful!

The experience was everything I expected. The cottage was very warm and cozy! It beautiful and very well decorated. The personal touches were amazing. We highly recommend! Next time we head to see our son at KSTATE we will look to stay here!

Perfect Place to Stay for a Weekend in Manhattan
Normally when we come in for a KSU football game we stay at one of the hotels, but we decided to try out a HomeAway instead. And it was such a great choice! Judine and Micheal are so nice and the house is perfect. They have everything you could need in the house to cook meals and just sit back and relax. The house is very clean and a good location to campus and restaurants in the shopping centers nearby. We also really enjoyed being able to walk to First Watch for breakfast one morning. We will definitely look to stay here when we come up for future games!

Lovely, convenient cottage in Manhattan!
Charming Cottage in Manhattan is just that, charming but so much more and Judine and Mike are wonderful hosts. Great communication to make sure we had everything we needed upon arrival and informaton about the cottage that was written up in a binder was more than helpful. I loved that all of the cabinets and drawers in the kitchen were labeled with their contents. Very useful. The furniture and beds werebl very nice and comfortable and tge decorations were perfect and added to tye homey feel. Most of my family were staying in a hotel and it was really nice to have a convenient place where we could get together. Great location within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Thanks again Since we were in Manhattan for my granddaughter's graduation from K State, my only regret was not finding it sooner! Thanks again Judine and Mije for sharing your lovely cottage!

The cottage was perfect!
The house was immaculate and nicely decorated. We rented this over Thanksgiving and the kitchen was well equipped for all of our cooking and baking to make it a perfect holiday. Anything we needed was within 5 minutes. We normally stay in hotels but this was so much more comfortable and spacious. We are changing our next hotel reservation in the area to book this house again. I would highly recommend!

This house worked well for us during a busy weekend in Manhattan. It is close to practically everything.

We loved our stay at the cottage! We will definitely stay again when we are back in Manhattan.
Nicely decorated with all the small touches that made our visit relaxing and easy. We hosted supper for our sons and several of their friends and did it with ease as the kitchen is so nicely outfitted. Spotlessly clean with comfy beds and plenty of room to enjoy a family visit! We will definitely be back to Houston Street!

Perfect place for us!
Four of us came to Manhattan for a family wedding and your Charming Cottage couldn't have been any more perfect! Each couple had our own private space and the remainder of the beautiful home to share. Having a home to come back to each night to relax and unwind was a joy and getting a quiet rest at night was a must. You provided everything we needed. It was wonderful to have so many places within walking distance. If we find ourselves in Manhattan again and needing a place to stay, we will be back! Thank you for such a clean, charming, comfortable Home Away from home!

Little cottage in the little apple
One morning I texted my sister to ask her if she wanted to go to Manhattan for the weekend. I forgot to add the Kansas. Despite my error my sister and our husbands had the best time in this little cottage tucked just 2 blocks away from the little apple. We could walk to the microbrewery, The Chef(wonderful Tex mex style breakfast ), and the Bourben and Bakery Tapas restaurant. The cottage is homey,decorated with whimsy and taste and very comfortable for relaxing, incredibly clean. So much better than a stuffy hotel. Jadine met us at the house upon arrival to make sure all was in order. We highly advise that you stay in this cozy turn of the century home updated for the 21st century.

Great place in great location
My family of four spent a weekend here celebrating our daughter's college graduation. This house is clean and well appointed with attractive and comfortable furnishings. This is a great alternative to staying in a hotel in Manhattan. I recommend it highly.

The Charming Cottage was just that -- Very Charming!!
Our only regret about the Charming Cottage is that we weren't able to stay longer. Because of flight cancellations, we didn't arrive until 3:00 a.m. We were in Manhattan for an early evening wedding on Saturday which didn't leave time for much of anything else on Saturday and had early afternoon flights to catch in Kansas City on Sunday. The home was beautiful and equipped with everything you could possibly need. It was just unfortunate we weren't there long enough to enjoy it all. Maybe next time!!

Lovely cottage in Beautiful Manhattan KS
Just like the description this was an hidden gem just one block from downtown Manhattan. We went out for Homecoming weekend at KSU to see our daughter. Unlike staying in a hotel with party goers up all night, this cottage afforded us total quiet and relaxation. We could not have been happier with the accommodations.

My husband and I rented the Houston Cottage over Thanksgiving to visit with our daughter and son-in-law. We found this lovely property to be just as describe. Cozy, inviting and comfortable. We were met on arrival and shown around. All of our questions were answered. We hosted Thanksgiving dinner for 10 including two small children and the kitchen was well equipped. We loved how everything was labeled!! It made cooking in an unfamiliar kitchen so easy. The only thing we could have used was a couple of extra folding chairs for overflow. The location is great. On Black Friday we left the cars parked at the house and walked into town. There is a small mall and lots of shops and restaurants along the way. There are also a couple of museums an easy walk away. No more hotels stays for us. We will be contacting Judine again the next time we are headed to Kansas.

We rented the Houston Street Cottage for the weekend of our daughter's graduation from K-State. It was an amazing value and absolutely perfect for our stay and celebrations. My husband, mother and I stayed at the cottage all weekend and enjoyed the oversized bedrooms and functional bathrooms. Family from Oklahoma and Missouri drove in for graduation day on Saturday, and we were able to host them all for lunch and a celebration dinner. We "catered" our own meals, and the kitchen was extremely well organized and supplied. Justine answered many questions before our stay and provided a listing of all the equipment available. The kitchen opens up to a very spacious dining area where 10 family members easily gathered round to watch our daughter open gifts. There are also 2 different living areas to spread out in, making it easy for various small family groups to have a chat and for my daughters' friends to drop in for a quick hug and congrats. My daughter and son enjoyed sitting out on the front porch later in the evening. The cottage is also in an ideal location as it is a short walk to downtown Manhattan, and not far from the K-State campus. If I were to do over our weekend at the cottage, I would have brought some folding chairs so that the extended family could all sit down in the dining room together. One suggestion for the owners might be to market their property as a business or social event/retreat space too. Before I retired I planned many off-site business meetings and I think the cottage would be ideal for an all-day planning meeting. Groups of 10-12 could easily gather in one of the living rooms and their is wonderful space for setting up easels with flip charts. The kitchen and dining room could be used for food breaks, with catering options located in nearby downtown Manhattan. I could also imagine using the cottage for social events such as bridesmaid's luncheons, showers or even rehearsal dinners. Anyway, to summarize, this is a wonderful property and offers a tremendous value.

My family was attending a wedding in Manhattan and wanted a place to spend the weekend. The bride turned us on to the Houston Street Cottage. This house has been beautifully remodelled and is an ideal location just a couple of blocks from the mall and the downtown area. The owners are very nice and great to deal with. I would recommend this to anyone!

We stayed at the Houston St Cottage for 3 days in July and had a great stay. The cottage is exactly as described and the owners have gone out of their way to make you feel at home. Even when something went wrong (hot water heater died) - they were on top of it and had it replaced the next morning.
If we are ever back in Manhattan, I wouldn't hesitate to stay their again.
