Arrived to a clean & well maintained house. All the bdrms & baths were clean & updated. Path to the beach/ocean directly across the street & pool & hot tub were nice after spending a day at the beach. Highly recommend

LOCATION! LOCATION LOCATION!!!! This was the best house we could have picked in all of Sandbridge. We had 11 adults, (2) 2 1/2 yr olds and a 9 yr old. We all fit comfortably and the house had everything we needed. Kitchen is well stocked with any utensil you can need. Tons of games. Beach access was about 10 steps away- perfect! Pool area and hot tub were clean and comfortable. The new master baths are exquisite. If you are a pillow person, consider bringing your own. There are plenty but they are pretty flat. We rented a golf cart from Right Coast Carts- had a blast driving that around. Baja restaurant is right around the corner - great atsmosphere and food. Sandbridge Island Restaurant at other end of street is a must. Communication with Corine was top notch- she responded immediately anytime i asked her a question. Would absolutely stay here again and definitely recommend.

The House look exactly like it does on the website. Nicely decorated, fully equipped with lots of dishes, pots, pans, coffee machine, electric gadgets to make your getaway successful. The house was clean. Location was close to the beach. I would stay at this house again.

This was a fantastic getaway! House was clean and spacious with no shortage of seating or bathrooms! Beautiful views from all balconies. The pool was lovely - clean with plenty of seating around and the hot tub was perfect. Kitchen was large and very well stocked except for spices (only found salt and pepper). Grill was perfectly placed just outside the kitchen. Plenty of plasticware/koozies for poolside. The only minor thing was that some of the sliding glass doors weren’t easy to open… but easy to get used to. The walk to the beach was IDEAL… right across the street! No need to schlep coolers or such unless you were planning on parking for the day further down the beach. The beach was very wide so you’re not on top of other people and the sand was super soft. Corrine was marvelously responsive and immediately took care of any questions or needs that arose. Would 100% stay at this property again!! Thanks Corrine!!

The location of the property was perfect! You walk right out the door and the pathway to the beach was there. The pool was a big plus when you have young kids. Plenty of space in the house! The cleanliness of the house I was disappointed in and the house needs updates. You could tell the cleaning crew was rushing as we couldn’t get in until an hour past check in time. They even made a comment that the owners stayed there and trashed the place. I will say the cleaning crew was very polite and nice and we stayed out of their way while they were finishing after it was already 4pm. Overall I would rate the house a C. I would not stay there again, but will definitely come back to Sandbridge!

This house is so beautiful; we would eat breakfast on the porch every morning and look at the ocean, it was wonderful.
The beds were very comfy, the sheets were nice, it was great to not have to worry about bringing shower towels. There were so many kitchen appliances that we were able to use with no problem.
I have no complaints at all and would totally rent it again!

We enjoyed our stay with a family of 11 at Chillaxin for ODU graduation. It's a reasonable distance to the boardwalk. You definitely need a car to get around. The house is fully stocked with kitchen items, games and linens. The bbq, pool and spa were clean and ready to use. The owner was responsive and friendly. I would consider definitely renting again.

Location was hard to beat and nice quiet street, comfortable house. The house itself was pretty minimal for a vacation house, no oils/salt/pepper or anything really in the kitchen, but they let us know about in advance.
The instructions regarding checkout (it said 9am in some places and 10am in others) were confusing. 9am feels unreasonably early for industry standard especially for a big group.
But overall a positive experience and I would recommend it for a beach house with friends or family, especially with kids.

This was another great week at a perfect location!!! House is perfect to accommodate our family of 8 adults & 9 children oops 8 (one grandson couldn’t make it ☹️). Proximity to the beach is ideal & having a pool just is an extra bonus. Fabulous week was had by all !!!

Perfect for our big family
We really enjoyed our stay at Chillaxin. Very convenient to the beach, pool and hot tub were a great bonus. The kitchen was well equipped and spacious. The kids enjoyed having their own space on the ground level. The house is comfortably lived in, so we never worried we might damage something. We would definitely stay here again.

The house was extremely convenient to the beach and had great kitchen amenities to help prepare meals for our family as well as celebrate our son's 6th birthday. The pool was a great option for days the red flag for rough water was up at the beach. Our family enjoyed our stay!

Just what we needed!
This property is beautiful. The home was very clean and we appreciated the extra cleanliness of the bathrooms and kitchen, literally sparkling. We spent a majority of our week in the pool. There’s tons of space to relax in and outside. We had a group of 14 and there was more than enough room if you needed some space :) The beach access is perfect and the views are exceptional. This was our 2nd time visiting Sandbridge and I would definitely stay here again. After all we’ve been through the past year, this was just the vacation we needed.

Great Location and Great House
Chillaxin is a great property that is in need of some TLC. For the cost of the property we expected a less "lived in" appearance. Many window blinds were quite damaged, outside light was damaged, kitchen cabinet drawer fronts were worn and some painted places were in need of paint and on arrival neither the pool or hot tub were pristine. Extra comforters and pillows were thrown onto the floor of some closets which left us wondering about the cleanliness of those that were on the beds. We had been told about broken freezer but the microwave door was also damaged. At 8:50 AM on checkout morning the keypad combination had already been changed and I nearly locked us out of the house.
We loved the pool and the Sandbridge Beaches and were even able to view the turtle hatching! What a thrill for all of us!!
I know it is 2021 and workers are difficult to find, but I am hopeful that the needed care of this wonderful property can be completed, so that we might feel comfortable renting it again.

Disappointed
Perfect location, beds were comfortable, upper level furniture was very very nice. We arrived to find the freezer door on the floor. Called the owner who said she knew, the prior tenants had broken it and a part was ordered and should be there by the middle of our second week. There is an old fridge in the basement that does not make ice.
There was no apology for the inconvenience, no offer to drop off ice or a cooler for it. So we got our own cooler and went to pick up ice every other day. This is totally unacceptable. Just a small apology or offer of ice would have gone a long way to making the large amount we paid for 2 weeks feel less abused. By the way the repair never showed up. So we will never rent from these people again.

Chillaxin was great!
Location great. Owner was responsive. Comfortable furniture and beds. Kitchen well appointed. The beds and bathrooms were clean. The remainder of the house wasn’t as clean as we would have liked - don’t think floors have been washed in a while. The air filter grill fell off and the filter looked like it hadn’t been replaced in a while. The vacuum cleaner was full of junk and it’s filter was plugged ( we emptied and washed the vacuum cleaner filter ) I’m sure the cleaning crews are stressed with a lot of Saturday turnovers. We would not, however, hesitate to stay there again.

Just what we needed
Booked this house for my family and I to stay in to be in close proximity to my nephew's Old Dominion University graduation. It was about an hour away, but the perfect location. Neighborhood was quiet and the house was right across the street from the beach. With the windows open, you wake up to ocean waves and salt air breezes. Heavenly! More than enough space for everyone and the house had everything we needed to make this a great place to celebrate and relax. The hot tub was the best! The kids loved the pool, and we all loved walking across to the beach, which was nice and quiet. We saw dolphins playing which the kids loved!!! Any issue we had was taken care of quickly and the owner was very accommodating. Thank you for giving us a much needed mini-vacation and place to celebrate a huge milestone.

The One Cheer finals Stay
We had a really busy weekend at our cheer competition so we didn’t get to enjoy the house as much as we wanted, but when we were there we enjoyed the pool, hot tub and the close walk to the beach! There was 21 of us and it accommodated all of us really well! It had everything you needed and more and the communication was great! Any time I had a question someone answered it right away! They even let us check in early which was super convenient and appreciated! We will definitely be back!

Great house, location, and pool
We had an excellent time at Sandbridge. The house was literally across the street from the walkway to the beach so it was easy for us to run back and forth to and from the beach with the kids.
The house was clean and the owner was very responsive to a few items, which the cleaning company came to clean up and fix.
All in all, we had a great time!

Our children and grandchildren had a wonderful time! Especially enjoyed going to the beach and then hanging out at the pool. The hurricane/tornado didn’t dampen our vacation - just made it more interesting!!!

Excellent Location - needs to be cleaned better & repairs needed
This is a great property in a wonderful location. The house has a great layout for a large family/group. However, the property was not cleaned well - the sofas were definitely not moved - lots of sand, food, etc., under that wasn't swept, we found old water bottles under a few beds, and the filters were filthy. We really loved the house, but spent quite a bit of time cleaning everything again.

Chilaxin family vacation and Summer Birthday
We loved Chilaxin! It was perfect! Though planned pre-pandemic, it ended up being an ideal location for pandemic and social distancing from other families at the beach. The house was lovely and we absolutely loved the pool during a hot July. Thank you for sharing your space with us!
