We had a great time at Fantasy Island Folly! The location was perfect, in a cul de sac directly across the street from the beach! It was a 4-5 min walk and we basking in the sun and sand.
There were more than enough rooms to accomodate our group. However, I do wish there was a little more fridge space for all of the food we had and a couple of my guests was hoping for a television in every room(their room did not have one).
Overall, I recommend Fantasy Island Folly and would stay there again.
Thank you Glenn for being a great host and for always responding so quickly. We really appreciate your hospitality.

We had an amazing family vacation here at fantasy island. It was so easy to get to and from the house, close to the stores and restaurants, we barely needed to drive. The house was perfect for our family.

We found the property to be a great location for the beach and quite relaxing. Kitchen was well appointed for cooking. Well suited for a large family vacation.

We had a great time at the beach and surrounding area. We weren’t as impressed by the cleanliness of the property and lack of cleaning supplies. (We had a spill and were told to buy our own mop) The property also lacked any kind of exercise/fitness equipment, jacuzzi tub was very old and not clean.. All of the kitchen cabinets were filled so there was no where for our groceries. Trash had not been picked up from the last visitors so it was terribly smelly and overfill. Just expected better for the price and based on other reviews

Perfect place for our family to stay while in town for our Folly beach wedding! Very close walk to the beach and convienen to downtown Folly. Sleeps a lot of people, great for large groups. No frills beach house, but perfect for what we needed!

I came to Folly for my son's wedding in Charleston and to enjoy the beach. The home was clean and just a quick walk to the beach. I will stay there again when back in the area. Highly recommended.

House was clean and spacious. Right across from a public beach! It is walkable to downtown, although it’s about a mile. We did have a bit of trouble finding Ubers to downtown Charleston, which we did not expect. But overall the house was comfortable and clean. Only complaint is there was no salt or pepper for cooking, which is not typically something I bring or buy on a trip. Overall, very pleased!

We had a large group of family and friends for my daughters wedding this weekend in Charleston. Easy and quick trip to the Port of Charleston, beach access across the street, close enough to the establisments downtown to walk but secluded enough your not bothered by noise, clean, kitchen stocked to prepare meals for 16+ people. Very accommodating for a large party.

Always gather with sister in law and her family. This year it was on the beach. Plenty of room, easy acess to the beach, could walk to town via the beach. Close to Charleston, quick and simple ride to town.

The house is as pictured and location is fantastic, it does need to be refreshed, the couch is not great to sit on as some of the cushions go mostly to the floor and make it hard to get up. The run in the main area has many pulled strands, the back porch has a fantastic table and couch but the sliding door glass has all lost its seals and does not look great. It is reasonably priced compared to others in the area.

I recently booked this house for a family vacation. We had 8 adults and 6 kids for the week in the same house. The house was perfect with enough rooms for everyone and so close to the beach!

We stayed here with a large family group and the place served our purposes very well. The house is just across the road from a beautiful beach which was not crowded at all. You get a lot of bang for your buck--this place was several thousand dollars less than other large houses and/or places with beach access like this. The house is not high end, it is a little worn (carpets were stained, couch has seen better days) but given the price and location that was ok with us. Also note that the house had only starter supplies of basics such as toilet paper, soap, detergent etc. Again, the amount you spend on these items pales in comparison to the good deal you get on the house. Also, the house does not come with beach towels or chairs. The kitchen has plenty of dishes and pots and pans, well set up for cooking. Glenn was very responsive and easy to communicate with. The house was exactly as advertised and I would definitely recommend.

The property is a very short walk to the public beach access and there was plenty of room for our group of 10--not only in terms of driveway space, but also the many bedrooms, large living room, front and back porches, etc. We had lots of space to hang around, cook for the group, and toss a football around. The walk to the main street in Folly was probably about 15 minutes and very straightforward. Very quiet neighborhood and as the title of this review suggests VERY close to the beach!

Went down to to be close to my grand daughter who was having surgery at MUSC. I wanted to make the trip special just for her so the beach was perfect. The house is really a hidden gem, but was just as pictures described. Everyone loved the location and space!

Had a group of kids and adults and the house worked well! It is right across the street from the beach and a super easy walk to the ocean. Getting to stores and restaurants in folly beach was about a 5 minute drive - so convenient! The house was as described and shown in pics!

Super convenient to the beach. Lots of parking. Private lot, quiet area. The home has a lot of elbow room with the very top floor perfect for kids. Beds are very comfy. Bedrooms and bathrooms are roomy. Top floor needs TLC with the odor. Wooden stairs to the front entrance needs replacing. Lots of places to eat and shop. The pier is brand new. Beach near the home is absolutely beautiful and spacious. Take your beach chairs and beach towels from home as there are none available at the house.

We had a great time for our golf trip staying on Folly Beach. The house is a 10-15 minute walk to the main Folly strip so you have activities nearby, but also have seclusion once you get back to the house. The house is set up well and welcoming for a wonderful beach getaway. Would stay here again if I ever find myself in Folly Beach, SC.

The house was just as advertised. Lots of room for friends and/or family. The top floor had 5 beds, the 2nd floor had 3 bed rooms, and the main level had a nice master. The biggest selling point here is the location itself. You are right across from the beach. This section of the beach is far enough away from the pier that you aren’t dealing with the large crowds. Could not have been happier taking the family here.

We had a great 3 night stay at fantasy island in Folly Beach. The house is very spacious and had no trouble hosting our group. It's literally right across the street from a beach access ramp which was very convenient for those of us in the group with kids, who loved going to the beach even in November. Glenn was very responsive to messages and communication. The only thing I would say is that for a house that's able to hold so many people, I would've expected the kitchen to be a little better stocked; mainly with cutlery. And that there's a slight scent of pets and pet clean up odors, but that's to be expected with a rental that welcomes pets. Besides those two minor things I have nothing negative to say about our stay at all. Loved staying here!

This house was the perfect house for our family my husband and I took the downstairs master, my daughter her husband and her youngest slept in the upstairs master.
My mom was in the second floor queen and my youngest daughter and her husband had the entire upstairs. My oldest granddaughter took the second floor queen.We had beds to spare! We really enjoyed the back porch that was enclosed and it was very helpful that the house provided toys for the little ones. The house was pretty spacious and comfortable my only negative about this house was the upkeep of the outside. There were no lights underneath the house they were all burnt out. As were quite a few inside the house. My daughter used to the washer and dryer they worked very well. My husband had to fix Dishwasher when we got there someone had put a plastic tray in there and it got stuck And melted into the bottom so it was not working correctly.
We enjoyed going to Charleston quite a few times for dinner. The commute was short and sweet. The worst thing about the area was the mosquitoes bring bug spray! This of course is not the fault of the owner I am not saying this as a downfall of the house I’m just saying be prepared
When I hear people talk about their vacation houses I always judge what they sayid I would they Go to this house again? My answer would be yes. I hope you and your family enjoy this house as much as our family did

There were 12 of us girls staying for a weekend and it was the perfect house! Plenty of space, plenty of parking, and a perfect location for walking to the beach and also forgetting to all the restaurants and fun stuff on Folly!! The owner was super nice, the house was clean, the beds were comfortable, and we had everything that we needed.
The only suggestion I would make is giving a house number as we had a hard time finding the house since the address that we received only had the street!

We had a great time staying at this property! There was around 9 of us and there was more then enough beds for everyone! The house was beautiful, clean, and easily accessed. It is very close to the beach and about a 1 mile walk into the main strip of town! We had great communication with the property manager. I would definitely recommend this house to any large group of friends or family!

We loved this house for our weekend getaway! It was a perfect fit and had lots of room to hang out in the common spaces. It was so close to the beach and a walkable to the center of folly. We would definitely come back!

This home is a perfect place for a large family to spend time at the beach. The location is great. It is off the main busy road which was nice with kids around. It was a very short walk to the beach.

Tried to make the best out of many issues - including bats.
While the homeowner was in good communication until the last night, we had several issues. Marsh mosquitos were insane (even against 7% DEET), there were several dirty conditions (oven, carpets, couch trash, dishwasher flap broken) though sheets and towels were immaculate and beds were comfortable. Great walk to the beach, and a/c and fridge were cold. House sways strangely all the time, and there are cracks in the ceiling like there may be structural issues. Needed a plumber for a shower, he came promptly. Kids thought they heard mice on 3rd floor going to bed, and the next night, they were terrified as I had to trap and release a bat in the bedroom that entered from the attic. Had he shown up sooner, we would have left the property.
