Spotless and fully stocked is an understatement. Loved walking to town & the ice cream place. Great central location for our needs. Fran was great!

Comfortable house that felt like home. Fran has the kitchen well supplied so it was easy to prepare meals. Beds are comfortable. No AC down stairs but ceiling fans and other oscillating fans kept air moving. Cool evenings also made this a non issue. Wasn’t expecting the house to be as close to the main road but Boulder Junction is a small town that quiets down early evenings. Overall we had a great week!

This is the most snowmobile friendly property ive stayed at, trail is right across the street. The driveway is a horseshoe drive with more than ample room for a 4 or possibly even a 6 place to get around. Theres also a place to back trailer into when done unloading. The kitchen is very well supplied.

The house is great, always clean and well kept. Location is perfect for us snowmobilers.

Sweet Emma's was a pleasure to stay at. My husband and I were in Boulder Junction for our first "empty nester" biking vacation. We were impressed by how clean the home is. There is a bike path that directly connects to the Heart of Vilas County bike trail which made it so easy to hop on right from the house. It's also a short walk into town. The home itself is cozy and very relaxing. We enjoyed many mornings watching the deer in the yard. While we never used the fire pit, we did sit on the furniture outside and just enjoy the weather. Yes, the house is located on a busier road (as one other reviewer mentioned) but we never found it distracting or too noisy. To be honest, while we were sitting outside, many people waved at us. That was quite nice. Fran was easy to work with. Her communication is spot on, she leaves detailed notes on how to use things around the house and the one time she was there we found her extremely friendly. We very much enjoyed our time at Sweet Emma's and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Thank you Fran!

Six college friends came for four days of cycling to Lake Tomahawk, Presque Isle, St Germain and Mercer. Good trip and great accommodation

We had a wonderful experience at Sweet Emma's. The property had everything we needed and the kitchen was fully stocked. Our kids loved the attic bedroom. Great communication with Fran who was very helpful. We highly recommend Sweet Emma's and look forward to staying again!

The house is super clean. Kitchen well organized. There is ample firewood for bonfires. Having access to kayaking on the river after a day of biking on the beautiful trails is heavenly. We love the porch and can see deer and kayakers going by. Thank you Fran for sharing your house with us.

This was our second year staying at Sweet Emma’s. Fran will make sure you have everything you need and all questions are answered before your stay. She is very easy to get ahold of if needed. We are looking forward to staying again next summer.

We only spent nights as we were in the area for my dad's funeral. The home was lovely and would be excellent for families with all the space. Lots of homey touches.

The property manager had a tremendous attention to detail for this vacation home. Lots of thoughtful little touches such as multiple room humidifiers for our winter stay, little LED flashlights in almost every room (not that we needed them) and a kitchen that was extremely well outfitted with high quality appliances and cookware. Notes and instructions made using the place a breeze. The house was very clean. It is obvious she takes great pride in the property. It is conveniently located close to downtown Boulder Junction.

This cabin is just great! Very clean cabin, would stay there again. This cabin is right across from the snowmobile trail. Well stocked kitchen, lots of towels and very soft!

My family and I had a wonderful, relaxing weekend at Sweet Emma's. Our hostess was wonderful as were the accommodations. A quick walk down to the river to the canoes and kayaks and a short row and you are on the lake. The fire pit was hit with the kids and grandparents alike.

I would recommend this property. Fran really goes out or her way to make sure her guests are comfortable. As long as you don't mind the owner and other people stopping by at random times, go for it! It's on a busy road but the location is perfect - still within walking distance to town, within driving distance of many activities. Our kids loved renting the boats and going up and down the river.

Great place to stay!

We have been coming to Sweet Emma's for several years now and we always have a great time. Fran always goes out of her way to make sure we feel welcome and that everything is just right. The house is very clean, has everything that you need, and plenty of space inside and out (and we need space with snowmobile gear for 8 people and 2 large trailers) this place works great. The snowmobile trail is directly across the road and Boulder Junction Snowmobile Club always does a great job with their trails. I would high recommend this place to anyone who is planning a trip to the Boulder Junction area anytime of the year. Thanks again Fran for a great time.

Sweet Emma's is a great place to stay, has everything you need. All you need to bring is your clothes & if you plan on cooking food. The place is very very clean, Fran is a great host and keeps her place in tip top shape. The beds are so conformable. Your walking distance to town. Great place for family's. I can't say enough about this place. First time I've rented on VRBO what a great experience. I would highly recommend Sweet Emma's to anyone. Thank you Fran for a wonderful vacation. We, are hoping to come back.

Fran was an excellent host. The place was extremely clean and much larger than expected! Stay on the river was a perfect option for us, as we were not bringing boats or anything of the sort. Renting kayaks and paddling to Boulder Lake was just what we wanted! The house itself is within walking distance to downtown so you are able to do a bit of shopping and eating. It was a great trip and I would recommend this place to anyone! Thank you Fran!!

This cute little home on the Manitowish River, just outside Boulder Junction was no doubt our home away from home. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, bathrroms were stock with toiletry extras just in case...there were plenty of bath towels and wash cloths....bedrooms on the main floor were furnished with queen beds. It would have been nice for dresser space to be available...especially since we were staying for 5 days. Living room, dining room and three-season room were wonderful congregating areas. The three-season room was our favorite. Outside was a nice firepit and ample space for parking. I nice little stairway to the river and pier made for a welcoming place to relax and watch "life go by". We were in the area for a bicycling vacation and we were not disappointed. One of the routes went right by Sweet Emma's so we were always able to start our ride right from the house. The paved trails are beautiful and beautifully maintained. Mostly flat with some small rollers and almost entirely off the busy roads. Riders of all levels will enjoy riding here. The only downsides to this property was cell phone service was not the best. There is no wifi but internet access was available in every restaurant we ate at so we weren't totally disconnected. Additionally, the only area of the house that's air conditioned is the second floor. We were fortunate to have warm (70's) days and cool evenings so not having AC wasn't an issue. Fran has oscillating fans placed throughout the main floor and both bedrooms on the main floor had ceiling fans so the air was always moving. I think it could be quite uncomfortable without AC on the main floor if the weather as warm day and night. Overall, we really like Sweet Emma's and all it had to offer and recommend it to couples and families.
