We really enjoyed our stay here!

This was a great beach house and worked out great for our family, 2 couples, one 90 year old mom, 3 singles and a 5 year old. It was roomy enough for us, the deck was great for dining with plenty of seating and great view of the waves. We have rented many houses and this one was stocked better than any other kitchen. Everything needed for cooking, plus spices etc, it was nice not to go out to buy every little thing like salt, pepper, TP and paper towels! There were games, books, beach chairs even snorkels and plenty of beach towels. A nice yard to play crouquet and bocce ball. Donna and Damon, the managers where so nice and helpful but never in your space even though they live on property. Just a few minutes from town which had everything we needed. The waves can be a little loud in the winter since they are so big, if you happen to be a light sleeper you might have an issue, but you get used to it is a few days.

We enjoyed our stay so very much! My father would sit on the lanai and watch the surf and turtles every morning with a cup of coffee. We would play cards on the outdoor dining table all night with the kids while hearing the crash of the waves. A Polynesian dream home for sure! Each room is equipped with a bathroom with a shower with the exception of the downstairs room. It has a lovely outdoor heated shower that our nephews LOVED! There is so much room in the two living areas that it was more than comfortable for the 10 of us. The kitchen is overly stocked with every amenity needed to cook in. The onsite property managers listened to our request and made sure there were enough fishing poles for my husband and nephews to use to beach fish upon our arrival. Whatever you need; beach towels, beach chairs, new sheets, soap, shampoo, snorkel gear, directions, recommendations for food is all found within reach. No need to worry...this house has it! The beach is not made for swimming, however you can take a short stroll down the sand to a swimming beach. The drive into town is less than a mile where you can use the Malama store or Longs Drugs for all your needs. We hired a photographer to capture our family vacation as well! The house has gorgeous settings both in the yard and the beach! Beds are comfy with small AC units and ceiling fans in the bedrooms (expect downstairs) which made the sticky nights comfortable to sleep soundly. All in all we couldn't have been more happy with the house and Hawaiian hospitality! My family are Polynesian and have a lot of family on Oahu. We understand the Poly way of giving. And this hale had so much aloha! We appreciated the country vibe so close to the town of Haleiwa that would do this again! Mahalo to Donna and her charming husband for taking such great care of us! Wow! This house was everything we hoped it would be. Sitting on the upstairs lanai each morning with our coffee and every evening with a glass of wine was perfect. The downstairs lanai was great for taking naps. We ate most meals from the upstairs lanai in order to take advantage of the amazing ocean views. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked. The whole house was impeccably clean. We spent a lot of time driving around Oahu and we believe our beach was among the most beautiful we observed. It felt like our own private beach. There were plenty of beach towels for a family of 5 adults. The sunsets were exactly as pictured. Turtles were found daily on the beach or eating the algae from the reefs. Communicating with Donna and Damon was always pleasant and easy. Dealing with the daily traffic in/out of Haleiwa was a bit of a pain but after one day you learn how to game it. The AC in the family room couldn't quite keep up with the high temps which made it slightly uncomfortable. The downstairs bedroom has no AC which was noted but somehow we missed that. There are no lounge chairs (shown in the photos) available on the front lawn which we were really looking forward to. Otherwise this house was a dream and we would absolutely love to return. We give it our highest possible recommendation.

The 2 weeks I spent on the North Shore were made perfect by the amazing hospitality of the beautiful Papailoa house. The amazing views and constant entertainment of turtles, amazing beach fronts and such a comfortable house just made the stay one never to forget. The Friends/hosts we made, played a huge part in our luxurious stay, providing input and helpful local knowledge. Would come back in a heart beat!

An amazing property in an outstanding location!!!! Stayed with my husband, 2 friends and little baby and couldn't have asked for a more perfect house. Had all the facilities that anyone could ask for plus more!! Renovated beautifully with excellent craftsmanship. Location is ideal for all ages, with close proximity to Haliewa, although enough distance to feel like your on your own island. Great access to Turtle Bay, Waimea Bay and shopping outlets. The house was beautifully decorated and maintained, with enough rooms to house multiple families. The property managers were excellent and provided great assistance with their local knowledge and support while traveling with my little baby. I would definitely recommend this property to my friends and family. We are already planning our next trip back to this beautiful house!!! This is the place to stay on the North Shore!!!
