Situato nella prestigiosa mecca del wind surf di Island Creek ad Avon, East Wind è una grande casa di 5 camere da letto sul suono completa con il proprio accesso alla spiaggia. Questa casa ha un grande piano aperto al piano superiore che vanta una cucina ben attrezzata con un'isola, una spaziosa sala da pranzo e un bellissimo soggiorno con una fantastica vista del suono. C'è anche una piccola area soppalcata dove è possibile ottenere una vista ancora migliore dell'acqua. Mazzi multipli offrono opportunità di ammirare tramonti spettacolari e la visione quotidiana di uccelli acquatici e appassionati di sport acquatici. L'ultimo piano ha anche una master suite con bagno privato. In effetti, tutte e 5 le camere hanno il bagno privato. Se hai bisogno di più spazio per dormire, il secondo livello ha anche un'altra camera familiare con un nuovo divano letto matrimoniale. 3 camere da letto con bagno sono anche al 2 ° livello. Il primo livello ha una grande camera da letto con 3 letti singoli ... sicuramente ottimo per i bambini! La casa ha più ponti ... il secondo livello ha una nuovissima vasca idromassaggio dove si può godere di una vista meravigliosa mentre ci si immerge. Il livello inferiore ha una sala giochi con tavolo da biliardo regolamentare, TV e frigorifero. L'ingresso esterno coperto ha ganci multipli per appendere tutta l'attrezzatura da windsurf e kite. Circondato da splendide zone umide e fauna selvatica, ti godrai una vacanza da sogno in questa proprietà sul lungomare. Island Creek ha anche una piscina pubblica a vostra disposizione, nonché una rampa per barche e un molo. La spiaggia dell'oceano è anche raggiungibile a piedi se si desidera navigare tra le onde! Avon è anche super conveniente in quanto ha negozi fantastici, il molo di Avon, una vasta gamma di meravigliosi ristoranti e la vicinanza di Food Lion, l'unico grande supermercato sull'isola di Hatteras. Avon ha anche una pista ciclabile per correre e andare in bicicletta per l'intera lunghezza del villaggio. Amerai EASTWIND e adorerai AVON!

Great place to stay- all appliances worked well, plenty of kayaks ect, we all had our own rooms and bathrooms. Close to everything and really enjoyed the community pool.
Things to know-
Water is very hot and only 1tub plug if you need to bathe kids. No baby items- crib/ high chair or baby gates for stairs. Router for tv is in 2nd living area. This room is great for 6th bedroom. It can be closed for privacy but you need to bring an air mattress. The sofa bed is not use able like springs over a sheet. Bring insect spray for mosquitoes and no beach to speak of. Overall would definitely recommend and really appreciate the owner allowing us to do a partial stay.

The house was perfect for our family to come together to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. It was our daughter and son and their families. There was plenty of bedrooms for everyone as well as private bathrooms. There was room for everyone to spread out and find their favorite place to chill. My reason for 3 stars on cleanliness was that there were empty bottles and other miscellaneous items under some of the beds that was overlooked by the cleaning crew.. The linen service worked well, except for the fact that they did not send a king sized sheet for the master bedroom. What came in the king size bundle was a queen sized fitted sheet and we could not get it on the bed. The location was gorgeous. I didn't realize that there was no beach access from the dock there. Overall we had an amazing vacation and loved the house and area.

The house was perfect for our huge family (8 kids ranging from 6 up to 20). We absolutely loved playing in the sound and hanging out on the dock as well as heading out in kayaks and rented paddle boards to explore. The ocean/beach was a quick walk from the house and groceries etc was super close. I highly recommend this property!

Was very nice clean house . Work had been put into house fresh paint on outside / new roof from year before. House is much larger than would think. Only recommendation felt like linens could have been provided than having to go thru rental service .

The house fit all of us comfortably with the many bedroom options. A plus would be if they offered linens like most rentals. Having to pack sheets & towels is a big hassle. The house was spacious but a bit dated. Beautiful views but for older folks - it’s a lot of stairs - just fyi. Nice location with dock for fishing and riding kayaks.

Water access is not optimal for windsurfing or kiting but sharing neighbor's walkway makes it work.

The house was really nice and clean.We enjoyed the views of the sound and sunsets. Short walk to the ocean to see the beach and a couple of sunrises!

Pros: Property was in a great location with nice views of the sound. Easy walk to the ocean across the street. Nice Kitty Hawk Kites 1 min walk. House had plenty of bedrooms and a bathroom in each. Nice decks and hot tubs to watch the sunset. Pool easy walk and empty most of the time. Cons: Common area/kitchen daily small and the house was older with 80’s decor. House was clean but the linoleum is old to the point of being faded and sticky in the kitchen.

The house was perfect for our group of 12. The sound access was easy, and perfect to paddle board and kayak. The house had a few kayaks on the property we were able to use. The beach was an easy walk, just across the road. We had rented bikes that made the beach access even easier. Communication with the property manager was quick and very easy. Definitely would recommend and rent again!

We had a fantastic week. Great weather, perfect house for our family of 12. Beautiful views, the hot tub is a plus, short walk to the beach, loved being on the sound, and enjoyed kayaking. We loved watching the kiters and all the wildlife too! Great location!

The pictures on the web site about the water access and boardwalk are not accurate. They should be renewed. The new-actual boardwalk and shoreline are both obstructed and are not user friendly. But, we had the possibility to use a neighbors boardwalk.

Property was exactly as posted. Loved the decks, pool table, views of the kite surfers!! Master bedroom bed was comfortable, and we’re a bit picky about mattresses. Nicely appointed kitchen where I made family dinners every night. Great, quiet location and property manager was super responsive. Hope to return again. Thank you, East Wind!

Everything about this exceeded our expectations. Check-in was so easy, had great communication with the owner and it was very clean. House was as advertised and we quickly saw why all the previous reviews were so awesome! Had a great amount of space for our group and loved the back deck and dock....but those sunset views😍!!! Wow! Thank you so much for a great space for us! We made some awesome lifelong memories and plan to make this our stop every other year when we stay soundfront! Thanks!

This is a beautiful house but needs a bit of maintenance. The sliding door to the main upper deck is very hard to open and close. The dryer takes over two hours to dry a load consisting of only three pares of jeans. Several deck boards on the decks and outside stairs feel weak under load. One tread on the stairs on the front steps has cracked and curled up to the extent that it has become a trip hazard. Overall the house is a good place to stay. It is clean, the kitchen is well equipped and easy to work in. Bathrooms are comfortable and the showers are clean and work well.

What a great house for our family vacation! Super clean ready on time! Short walk to the beach and the walkway to our sound was new and very nice! One of our favorite places! Hot tub was amazing!! Overall a great experience!! We had three couple a teen and a 2 year old! All family! We all had a blast!! We enjoyed the pool table! And the decks for the sunsets were perfect!! Can't wait to rent this same place again!! Thank you for making our first family vacation a great one!!!!

Really enjoyed the house. The kitchen is well equipped. The dock on the sound is not properly pictured, there is no small beach at the end of the dock.

Excellent property!
We had another great vacation at East Wind. This is our 19th year staying at this property and we wouldn’t stay anywhere else! We are already looking forward to next year. The property managers are wonderful and always very responsive to any inquiries.

Sound Side in Avon
Big house on the sound on the northern edge of Avon. 5 bedrooms with a sleeper sofa (not comfortable) in the middle floor living room. Nice hot tub and we'll stocked kitchen. Short 10 min walk to the ocean beach. 5 min walk to community pool on the loop just to the north. 4 kayaks and 4 paddles. Perfect for windsurfing and kite board enthusiasts.

Great family house
We throughly enjoy our stay at East Wind. It was clean, spacious and communication with Betty the property manager was quick and responsive. Kiting access was not the best, but was doable. The kitchen was nicely stocked..

Windsurfing
Unfortunately the new boardwalk with raised pillars is not ideal for carrying windsurfing rig to the water. Would have to carry sail and board separately and navigate stairs to the water. Also setup not really suitable for kiteboarding. We used boardwalk and beach of neighboring place as no one was there. Nice spacious house though with nice games room and pool table.

Kitesurfing week
The house itself is great. Just a note to Kiteboarders that the back yard is marshy and only has enough space for a few kites at a time. Although the yard is not exposed to winds with south in it, the water is shallow and you can just walk out for a water start.
I’d stay there again with a small group. We were only two Kiters this week.

Lovely bayside house with wonderful views!
Wonderful family reunion location…we cooked and played games and took lots of day trips up and down the Outer Banks. The house was comfortable and clean, and the jacuzzi was so fun!

OBX Fishing Tournament
Was in town for the tournament and this house was a great snag for the price and location. The owner was easy to communicate with and overall the house was better than expected.

East Wind is absolutely wonderful
This home was just perfect, the kitchen was fully equipped, clean and neat. There were even kayaks to enjoy. The sunsets were magnificent every night. The management was wonderful and easy to work with. The manager was always available to answer any questions. I would highly recommend East Wind to everyone.

Gorgeous views
Multi family vacation. The views and location were beyond beautiful. Plenty of room for everyone and the kitchen was fully stocked for preparing family meals. Be ready for lots and lots of stairs but the views made it worthwhile. Bathrooms are dated but serviceable. Would stay again for the location.

Best trip ever!!!
I can't say enough good things about this property or the manager. This home is large enough to accommodate larger groups with space to give everyone a little privacy. Everything was as expected on check in and the property manager was always available to answer questions and take care of any small problems. One bed was broken when we checked in and she promptly replaced the whole bed even on a holiday weekend. Soundfront location was fantastic and kayaks were provided. Beach access is close enough to make it easy to get out on the beach and there are also several 4WD accesses close by which is huge fun. The kitchen is stocked with everything you can imagine so I didn't even need the few specialty things I packed. Word to the wise, pack light! There's not much you need that isn't already provided and those steps don't make it easy to carry in heavy items especially us older folks! A great time was had by all and I will definitely return to this property and recommend it for families who are looking for the perfect spot for your vacation.
