We are two retired couples who have spent 8 days traveling in the Canadian Rockies. This log home was great for us. The previous property we stayed at in the U.S. Glacier Park was nice but rather small, so we appreciated being able to spread out in this roomy house. It was centrally located to all the parks we wanted to visit, and felt very private with a great Mountain View off the deck. We cooked all the nights we were there, and the kitchen was well equipped. It took us a bit to figure out how the stove worked, but it worked fine for us. Thanks for sharing this lovely place with us!

The log cabin is everything you need if you want peace and quiet surrounded by the natural Canadian beauty.

Just loved the uniqueness of this Log Cabin property as we come from Australia. So peaceful with fantastic views and tons of room. Unfortunately only had 2 nights, would have loved a week! Highly recommend to all.

Our party was two couples. We found the home to be very roomy. Our favorite feature was the large deck with Mountain View’s where we enjoyed our morning coffee and evening card playing. Kitchen was moderately equipped. Gas grill on deck. Laundry facility. Quiet and peaceful. The home was clean, but a bit worn. There is no AC and the upstairs got a little warm. Multiple fans and cool evenings helped a lot! Great communication from host! Town of Golden is a gem and we found amazing food at the Island; local pizza and bakeries! Great location for hiking in the area. Easy access to town and highway.

The cabin is very comfortable and spacious. It is a great central location for Golden and many parks. The view was amazing, sitting on the deck was so relaxing. It is well equipped but the stove needs repairs. Charlotte was very helpful and responded quickly to our questions. A very positive experience.

The house is a great place to stay and to visit many places in Yoho National Park. Charlotte is a great host, the house is clean and very well equipped. The view is wonderful and we really enjoyed staying there. It was our first time in Canada and we can really recommend this place for a stop during a round trip. We felt at home and would definitely come back if we get a chance to travel to BC again. Thank you Charlotte for renting your house to us.

Great location and we had no problem doing day trips in different locations all week long for hiking. The evenings were spent cooking dinner ( stove is needing replacement ) and sitting on the large deck enjoying a glass of wine, evening sun and amazing mountain view. The cabin is very comfortable, spacious and cozy.

We had an amazing 2 day stay in an awesome Jem in the mountains of Golden. Spectacular view. Will definitely book again.

Nice view of the mountains but there was a nasty dump truck parked right outside the front door which really looked bad. The pictures don’t accurately show the condition of the cabin. Floor in kitchen was ripped, scratches from a dog on the doors. Also no master bathroom. Would not stay there again. Greatly disappointed.

Host was wonderful, home was exactly what we expected and was more than enough for our group of 9. Property was beautiful with a beautiful view of the mountains. Thank you Charlotte for the great communication and sharing your private rural home with us. Rick and Terri

Stayed at the property with a group of friends. Wonderful home, great communication with the owner.

We cannot say enough good things about this spot. We came to Golden and eloped and I could not think of anywhere else I’d want to spend my wedding weekend. From the time we were initially looking and booking, and for the months leading up to our visit Charlotte communicated with us regularly and provided updates and recommendations. The cabin was exactly as listed. It’s quiet and peaceful, and the views are absolutely stunning. We can’t wait to come back again soon.

Our stay was incredible, with breathtaking scenery all around us. The cabin was beautiful inside and out. The rooms were very spacious with comfortable beds. The host, Charlotte was so awesome she stayed in contact checking in with us making sure everything was going good.We would most definitely recommend anyone else to stay here. We ourselves would love to come back and stay again in the future.
