The day before our arrival we were told in the check in instructions that the A/C in the mail living area of the house did not work! and that it would be replaced until October! I contacted the number listed, left a message and this was never acknowledged. Very disappointing. One of the reasons we rented this property was because it said it had A/C. It was way too uncomfortable in the main living area. We were deceived and paid full price for this deception. Renter Beware! T

We stayed in this sweet cottage last week for a family getaway with our three sons (ages 13 and under). The location was so perfect - literally steps from the ocean on your left, or to calmer bayside water on the right. I’ve never stayed in a rental home that was so equipped with supplies - in the kitchen there were so many extras that we hadn’t even realized we needed until we got there - amazing pots and pans, dishes galore, even non stick cooking spray, a gas range stove and an airfryer! Boogie boards for the kids, beach chairs & beach towels - even a kite to enjoy flying on the windy beach. The only downfall to San Diego to be mindful of is the parking situation - but that’s not a problem that’s specific to this cottage, it’s anywhere you rent. Finding a parking spot was a bit stressful for us. This cottage does have a garage, but it’s not big enough for the SUV we needed to rent for our tall family of five. On the plus side though, once you find parking elsewhere, this cottage is so centrally located that you can walk to nearly anywhere you’d need to go. I can’t say enough great things about it - if we are able to come back to SD in the future, we’d definitely want to stay in this space again. LOVED it.

We enjoyed our stay. The property was located on a quiet street and was a one minute walk to the beach. They had good bikes and beach equipment there and a new BBQ. It has an outdoor raised fire pit. It worked for us and we will hopefully stay there again in the future.

We stayed here with our 6 yr old and 3 yr old. The place was well stocked not only with the necessities, but lots of puzzles and toys for the kids. My kids loved the beach toys. The kitchen was stocked with very high quality cookware and even had an extra sippee cup and bottle. We loved the fire pit.

This rental is great and I highly recommend it. The furnishings, accommodations, communication and amenities were perfect. The patio was a lovely place to have dinner and drinks at night. It is so convenient to the ocean, Mission Bay, restaurants and shopping.The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was for two deficiencies given the cost. The first was the floor was incredibly dirty - stains on the rugs (up and downstairs) and the floors needed a good mopping badly. Our feet got dirty just walking around the rental the first day. The second is the parking. We rented the smallest car Hertz had available in San Diego (a Toyota Yaris) and it was too long for the garage by a good two inches with the front bumper touching the wall! We struggled every day to find parking. The first two nights we had to pay $35/day to park in a hotel two blocks away. If you don't mind not having designated parking or wearing your shoes inside, it will work. Like I said, it really is a lovely, well appointed and updated rental.

Our family had a great time in Mission Beach staying at this terrific cottage. The house was well equipped, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The area provided so many different activities for the entire family and having the beach steps away was amazing. Rebecca, the property manager, was very helpful and friendly. We would love to come back!

Awesome property all around. Great location, clean, comfortable house right close to the beach. Had everything we needed. Property manager was super helpful, answered any questions we had. All the beach equipment/toys they had were great. The patio and deck were awesome. Perfect for grilling and relaxing outside. We will definitely look to book this one our next trip down!

Great cottage. Very clean. Very well acquainted. Location awesome. Everything u need is provided. Especially the cookware. We spent most of our week on the patio chilling it is so nice. And the fire pit at night. Took the bikes for rides each day. Great time. Will be back.

The description of the cottage is spot on and it was one of the nicest properties on VRBO, every detail was well thought out and I would easily rent this beautiful property again. 2 minute walk to the beach but quiet and serene at night. The fire pit on the patio was my favorite way to wind down at the end of the day. You won’t be disappointed if you rent this for your vacation. Didn’t want to leave.

The pictures are very accurate, very cute, was very comfortable for 4 adults. Cottage very tastefully decorated and updated. You are say 15 seconds walk to Pacific Beach. Garage, well, it is small and can't really fit a car that can fit 4 adults with bags. But we were able to find street parking each night, some close some a little walk. We used the bikes for a ride on the boardwalk. You can walk to all the eateries and bars in the area. Lot's to choose from. We will rent this location again. Rebecca (manager) was wonderful as well

This beach cottage was wonderful for my family of 4 (two small kids-3and 8). 2 short blocks to the ocean and 3 to the bay. Mission Bay is such a nice beach area with many things within walking distance. I will note parking is difficult and with a 3 year old we needed a car. The weekends the area is packed so if you lose your free parking due to needing to go to an excursion you won’t find anything free for miles and public/Catamaran parking is expensive. We did this one night and charge starts over at midnight (we stayed from 330pm to 9 am) and payed 65.00. We were able to find free alley parking all other days but it was a bit of jaunt to get back to the house— usually a 10 minute walk. The house is clean, well equipped, comfortable, and has a beach cottage feel. A few small notes- Nothing huge at all but working clocks in the bedrooms would be helpful. Also, with having a 3 year old having no tub was a bit difficult. The showers are great, it was just difficult with a 3 year old who is terrified of showers... haha as a parent I would like to know this. I hope to some day go back with a few girlfriends as this was a beautiful place in a great location.

This cottage was a great fit for our family visiting San Diego during the Christmas holiday. Great location just steps from the Mission Beach ocean boardwalk. Short walk and close to downtown Pacific Beach and many restaurants and shops. It was also a quick walk to get to Mission Bay side as well. House was beautifully decorated, well kept and very clean. Had all the amenities and more, great for foodie and cook such as myself. We cooked Christmas dinner for 8 and there was enough room and with the outdoor patio on first floor it was a very comfortable set up. The upstairs patio off the bedroom was awesome for sitting and reading a book in the sun but protected from the wind as well. Bedrooms and bathrooms were well appointed and having a washer and dryer was key also. Relaxing place to enjoy a San Diego vacation! Would highly recommend this and would return again for sure!

We loved the place. Everything was comfortable and well maintained. The location is convenient to the beach, bay side, and restaurants. Only drawback is parking, but that is typical of the area.

Spent a week in June at the property with a family of four. Rented kids bikes down the street and spent the week between the beach and the board walk around the ocean & bays.

This property is one of the nicest you will find in all of the rentals along Mission & Pacific beach. The home is perfectly situated to enjoy the beach, bay, shops and restaurants that make staying in San Diego our favorite destination every year. The property was a wonderful match for our family (4 adults and two small children), was stocked with everything you could want or need for a week-long stay, clean and updated with quality furnishing & fixtures to make all of us feel like we were escaping the real world for a bit. Every detail was thought of by the owners and/or property manager, no keys to worry about, extra bedding if needed, bikes, toys, chairs, cooking and cleaning supplies. We especially loved the amount of seating not only inside but on the wonderful patios (upstairs and down) as well, chairs, couches, stools and tables were alway available and very comfortable making it easy to just relax and enjoy the property and SD weather. Beds were comfortable, indoor and outdoor showers always with plenty of hot water, court was quiet, neighbors kind, charming doesn't do this place justice, perfect does. We will definitely be back in the coming years!

Our family just got back after staying a week and we could not be more satisfied with the place. The owners of this property did not skimp out on anything. All appliances were top of the line which made it easy on us to not have to buy waters and ice. The outside Deck space is large and the walls are high enough for you to not have to worry about your toddlers. There was also a great deal of shade when needed to do all dinners outside. The cottage is very close enough to the beach to get there in about a minute walk and far enough to not hear the noises of the boardwalk. I hope to stay here again!

We loved our time at this cute cottage. It's very clean and nicely decorated and a quick walk to the beach! We were there with our 2 small children (4 and 2) so spent most of our time outside on the beach or on the patio and it was very relaxing. It can be busy at times with other tourists or locals walking by or people partying at other rentals but it was very quiet inside and the noises didn't bother us. There's a large fence around the cottage so we always felt secluded and no one paid any attention to us. We also enjoyed the bay which was also a very quick walk away even with 2 kids (although did require crossing a busy street) and rented kayaks there which the kids loved. The house came furnished with beach toys and towels and the kitchen was well stocked as well. We would love to stay here again!

Easy access to the beach and bay, restaurants and other Mission Bay and PB shops. Comfortable beds and living area, outdoor living area with fire pit was a huge hit, kitchen was well equipped with modern appliances. Great accommodation for 4 adults. Would be a push to have 6 adults comfortably. I’d definitely stay here again!

I can't say enough nice things about our stay in this adorable cottage. The house has every possible thing you would need...from cooking to shampoo to beach towels to beach toys. The outdoor patio was our absolute favorite. The house is well taken care of, adorably decorated, clean and close to everything. We walked everywhere we went. Also...Rebecca was so nice and helpful. She met us there, showed us everything we would need, and was on call if we would need anything. We had an awesome experience!

This property was fantastic! It has everything you need for a beach stay. Beach chairs, beach mats, kids sand toys, boogie boards, volleyballs, footballs, whiffle balls, 2 very nice beach cruisers with baskets, board games, books, the list goes on and on! Our favorite thing to do at night was sit around the gas fire pit on the gorgeous patio and enjoy the evenings! Very close to the Ralph’s grocery store too! The only 2 minor complaints is the size of the garage (we ubered from the airport) but had we rented a car it would only fit a Smart car or Mini Cooper. Also, it says it sleeps 8, which it does, however if we had 8 adults it would hv been cramped. 8 people hanging in the living room would hv been tough. Aside from that, it is fantastic!! Also worth noting, is the blow up mattresses and fold out beds also come with very nice feathered/plush mattress toppers for extra comfort!
