Very peaceful and private you can tell the chalet was handmade with love by owners!! MOST enjoyable was seeing a black bear just outside the window one morning. Host was super helpful on tips on places to hike, where to get to supplies, and general tips on getting around. Be sure to check with host before your trip to verify when the Trans Canadian Highway will and will not be open. When we stayed it was closed daily between 10pm and 7am

Thoroughly enjoyed the second trip to this amazing cabin in the mountains. Loved walking/biking every day in the area and sitting on the deck listening to all the birds. The cabin has been perfectly maintained and the host is always quick to respond. Great place to stay for a quiet, scenic, rural vacation.

Really enjoyed our time here! The chalet itself is a piece of architectural art and I found myself in awe of its many unique features - really cool. The location is perfect for an immersive nature retreat. And Priscilla was the best host and was easy to get a hold of if needed. Would highly recommend and will be back again. Thanks!

You would not feel like you are traveling, you will feel like it is an extension of your home. I went in winter, the peaceful neighborhood that can be quiet without a sound at night, but the beautiful creeks during the day with the singing of birds remind you that you are surrounded by life. It was just perfect

Our stay at this quaint Chalet nestled in the heart of the Canadian Rockies was one of the best experiences we've had. One can see that this place was thought out and built with beauty and relaxation in mind. The owners' attention to detail is very evident...the window views, kitchen, living room with a cozy woodstove were all little details that we enjoyed. Would love to stay here again sometime. Also I do have to add that the owner Priscilla was very understanding and helpful with whatever we needed, even with an embarrassing mistake that I had made on my part. Thank you again.

Great place to stay for an adult couple! Super cute cabin in the woods about 10 min outside of Golden. Very quiet and private location. Spacious living room with a wood stove which comes in handy in the winter. We'll equipped kitchen and a backyard BBQ. Priscilla was very responsive to any communication and check in was a breeze with all instructions you need inside the cabin. If we ever come back to Golden we would definitely stay here again!

Priscilla and Johnathan built a beautiful chalet. We were looking for a place to escape our busy work life and found that here. It was clean, perfect size for two people, close enough to town and full of spots to hike/explore. The hosts have great advise on where to go for hikes, and where not to go, listen to them :)

This chalet is nestled in the trees with stunning mountain views all around. We did take a walk on one of the trails and it was perfect. I will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay in this cozy and peaceful cabin in the woods. The cabin is so unique and you can really tell that the owners put lots of love and work into making it a special place to visit. The hosts were very accommodating and easy to get in touch with for any needs or questions that come up. Kitchen is well equipped and clean. Bed and bedding very comfortable. En suite bathroom in the loft is so lovely for relaxing with amazing wilderness and mountain views. Lots of cute personal touches and a lovely display of photos from the construction of the cabin on the wall which we enjoyed. Lots of trails and things to do nearby. Ample parking if needed. Would recommend this cabin to others and would return again if visiting the area. Thank you for the comfortable and unique stay!

I have stayed in many VRBO's and this one is one I will never forget. The place is absolutely charming and I could not more highly recommend staying there. This is the first property at which I have stayed that I actually sent photos of the property to my family and friends... and we have stayed at some excellent properties. It is unique and stunning. You will not be disappointed.

Our trip to the cordwood chalet was absolutely lovely - everything about this place is beautiful, clean, and relaxing! We loved every single second and hope to return again! The owners were very thorough and organized and quick to respond to questions. The location was perfect for hiking, taking some cold amazing swims, shopping the golden strip, and eating some amazing food both in golden and made at the chalet! The chalet was very well equipped with everything we could need to cook our own meals too! Love love love this place!!! It was awesome!

The Cordwood Chalet was one of the most beautiful and comfortable places we have stayed at. Priscilla the host was excellent in her availability and recommendations on outdoor excursions, hikes and restaurants. The Chalet was so clean, warm, cosy, serene and extremely well stocked. There was no lack of anything from a well supplied kitchen to firewood for the fireplace to linens, candles and toiletries. Priscilla has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and cosy. The location of the Chalet is on a beautiful 8 acres of land completely surrounded by forest and nature. It was such a pleasure to wake up to the serenade of birds every morning. The Chalet provides privacy and quiet that is so rare. This is definitely a place to come and recharge and rest. We loved drinking coffee from the porch every morning, lounging on a big day bed/sofa and making meals in a well supplied kitchen. The view from the bath tub is truly unforgettable, soaking and watching the sun set in the mountains is one of the treasured memories my wife will never forget. This Chalet is definitely a place we will come back to. If you love serenity and being surrounded by nature, this is the place to be. Thankyou Priscilla and family for sharing your beautiful home built with so much love and thoughtfulness. It made our Wedding Anniversary so memorable.

Just loved it. It was cute and quaint, relaxing, beautiful and clean. Loved everything about this place. The kitchen was well equipped from multiple pots and pans to coffee grinder. The pot stove was just the best in winter. The bed was warm and comfortable, there were little touches everywhere. The host was lovely. Would come back in a heartbeat.

This was a fabulous place to spend an extended weekend! Definitely have GPS available as it's a little hard to parse directions to a new place, but overall an idyllic location.

This was the first stop on our 20th anniversary, so we had high expectations. The Cordwood Cottage met our expectations and then some. The home was very clean, represented those fine little touches of owners who truly care and was offered at an affordable price. The location was private and although the owners were available to support any of our needs, they provided us with some much appreciated privacy. The only suggestion for improvement would be the bed. Although it was comfortable and clean, it didn’t represent the fine finishings the rest of the home had- Not a deal breaker by no means but simply an opportunity to improve. Thank you very much for sharing your home with us, we are truly grateful.

What an amazing stay we had at the Cordwood cottage. The place is very clean, nice and comfortable. It was a very quiet area so we got to enjoy ourselves and chill and relax. The owner Priscilla was welcoming and gave us tips on activities and place to visit to the area. I would definitely come back to the cottage if I ever travel to Golden again.

This cabin is nicely situated for outdoor activities and close enough to Golden if you needed anything. Though you may just want to chill on the deck and relax!
