Pros: House is very roomy with plenty of space and seating areas. Dining table seats 10 people. Beds and furniture are comfortable. Nice wall decorations. Good amount of storage space in kitchen cabinets. Bathrooms nice, totally renovated. Peaceful quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors. Cons:House has musty odor. Walls,carpets, and drapes are dingy and old. Some drapes and blinds are broken and do not close. Heat pump is noisy. Screen porch is a small ugly slab of cement with view of trash cans and other houses. Windows are very dirty.House is good choice for pet owners due to large interior space and small yard in back.

Nice location and layout. Kitchen well supplied. Laundry room, porch and windows were filthy. Most windows are inoperable. No light source from house to laundry room. Beds comfortable, living room very comfortable. Would not pay this much for this property again. In need of many basic upgrades.

We enjoyed our stay at Bradfield. It is the third time that we have stayed at this home. The new bathrooms were very nice. Still has the old drapes that are dirty and not functioning. That really takes away from the overall feeling of the rental. The location is wonderful and the house has very roomy common areas so overall we love this place!

The house was due for major upgrades/repairs and very mold infested. The ceiling was practically falling in, mold stains around every air vent, worn and stained bedding, pillows...it was so bad we had to be relocated to another rental that was fortunately available.

I have been vacationing on Jekyll for 25 years. I have stayed at lots and lots of properties. This rental was 280.00 a day. The absentee owner does not maintain this property. The rental is dirty and run down. Wood work is filthy, floors were dirty, curtains haven't been washed in 10 years. The windows are dirty and the screens are falling off. The pictures of this rental were staged many years ago because they don't reflect the condition of this property at this time.

Rental property is very close to beach. It is spacious. It has water marks around vents. I'm not an expert but looks like mold in some spots. It is outdated, but overall we had a good stay.

Jekyll Realty was good. The location of the Bradfield house is perfect. It is just steps to the beach. The beach is great. The price for the Bradfield is excellent for the location. There is a trade off however. The house is outdated with the exception of the kitchen which has been updated. There are water stains around several of the HVAC registers. If you don't mind staying somewhere that is somewhat dated and somewhat unsightly then this is the place for you. We had plenty of space for a family of 4 and a family of 6. The water pressure was low, but the air kept us cool in August. Overall a good experience but don't expect anything better than the pictures.

Begging for a makeover
Ok I read all reviews so I had a idea what I was getting into . The location is Excellent! So if you can overlook the conditions of this house then this house is for you . It looks like everything inside came from a goodwill and has a terrible odor in the house .The laundry was on the backside of the house , you literally had to walk outside to get to it and I refused to go inside , my husband did all the laundry. So if the location is the most important thing to your family then this is your house . But if you want a relaxing home and a nice place to hangout , don’t rent this , it needs a MAJOR update

This house is spacious and very close to the beach-just a few steps! Lots of bed space with an updated kitchen. it really needs a some TLC: carpet has an odor, screens are torn, plumbing really needs some work. We were there for only a few days, so not really a challenge for a short time. The grills in the description are completely rusted thru and should just be thrown away.

The Bradfield is located just one house away from the ocean so you can sit on the screened porch and listen to the surf. The house had plenty of room for us and was well equipped. The yard is large and the setting is quiet because you're at the end of a street. There is quick access to the beach (as long as it isn't high tide) and easy access to the bike path.

Picnic table has a broken leg and doesn't sit level. Rockers are totally covered in black mildew. The listing photo is not accurate. 2: hallway and bedrooms are extremely dark and dank. Very musty and did not clear up with A/C use. 3: Family room ceiling is water stained, apparently from condensation from A/C vents. 4: all draperies throughout are extremely dated and worn. Drapery rods didn't work. 5: electrical outlet for washing machine is exposed and very unsafe.

New Year Getaway
Great place, good location. Beach access is across the street. Quite neighborhood. Kitchen had everything we needed. Only negative is, it could use an update (paint and carpet) but the beds were comfy and we would definitely stay again. Staff and maintenance were super friendly and helpful!!!

We vacation on Jekyll every year sometimes more than once. We love the island. We have stayed at the Bradfield before mostly because of the location. We would recommend a few things: a new t.v. In the main living area, remove the carpet and put down tile; paint the walls to brighten the interior; the ceiling tiles in the bedrooms need replacing- it looks like water damage. The kitchen was renovated a few years ago and has a new stove now and a new sofa and love seat were put in the living area- the kitchen has a good flow - there is a lot of cabinet storage as well as counter space. Overall the house is great. Thank you for allowing us to stay.
