Seaside Retreat si trova in un quartiere tranquillo a soli 5 minuti a piedi da Surfer's Beach e dal Coastal Trail, a pochi passi da Sam's Chowder House e Princeton Harbour ea soli 4 km dalla storica Half Moon Bay. The house was perfect for our group of 4. Mary-Anne suggested fun hikes and restaurants for us to try which helped our planning a lot. We cooked several meals and found everything we needed. Overall it was a great stay.

This was such a cute place to stay for a girls' weekend! It was just the right amount of space, clean, bright and airy, recently remodeled in the kitchen, well-stocked, a quick drive to many points of interest, and walkable distance to the beach.
The host was welcoming and responsive to our needs, quickly reachable by text, and provided suggestions and tips based on what I was looking for. She provided random little things that I asked for, like a white noise machine, a steamer, and suggested places to watch the sunset from.
Having double sinks in the bathroom was also really helpful for our group!
Note that one of the beds is a little soft so it depends on your preference--one person thought it was very comfortable while another preferred a firmer mattress. Also note that the couch in the living room is now white instead of black like the picture might show, which ties better into the bright and airy aesthetic of the rest of the place.
Heads up that the listing still needs to be updated as of August 2024. It now sleeps 4 and the host can provide an air mattress for another.

We spent 4 days visiting the San Francisco area (including San Jose and Santa Cruz). This home was perfectly located so we never drove too far each day. It was recently remodeled and is beautiful in and out. It is walking distance to the beach too! The owner provided recommendations for sightseeing and meals - all were excellent. Highly recommend this place!!!!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Mary-Anne's place. It was very clean and quite large for a two bedroom VRBO. We cooked in a couple nights and the large kitchen had everything we needed including an amazing full-wood butcher-block island. My kids and I had fun playing ping-pong in the backyard our first morning. This property is close to many things Half-Moon Bay and quick access to the HWY without being so close that you can hear the traffic. We could not hear it at all, which was nice and peaceful. We'll definitely consider coming back for a future coastal vacation!

We had a great stay. The rooms were clean, the house was well maintained and the owners (Mary-Anne and Brian) were very responsive. If you are looking for a quiet, well kept house, with access to the Bay Area, this is the place. The price point was hundreds less than local area hotels and other rentals. I could not recommend this place more highly!

Great place! Huge! Loved the kitchen! Also had every kitchen utensil we needed! Within walking distance to the ocean! Owners were extremely nice and accommodating! Nice to stay out of the city but still be close enough! Will definitely stay here every time we visit San Francisco!

This is a lovely place just a few minutes walk from the beach and easy access to many things in the area. We loved driving down the coast on Highway 1 and took some amazing pictures.
Mary-Anne was very helpful in providing information about the area and responded quickly to all our inquiries. There is also loads of information in the place for you to plan your stay and places to visit.
We would definitely stay here again.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Very spacious apartment, close to amenities. We were expecting a welcome basket with wine and cheese as the advert stated but did not receive it. As others have stated the walls are thin and there is noise from the upstairs and surrounding area, if you’re a light sleeper I wouldn’t recommend it. But the beautiful home and spacious rooms make up for the minor issues. The beds are very cozy.

Great option in HMB
Although a little deep in the neighborhood it is a convenient location. Can walk to beach but no other amenities. Very quiet. Owners are on site but very respectful. Only ran in to them once while they were watering garden. I went with my bff and will be bringing back my husband even though we won't need extra bedroom will still stay there. Very large unit. We were very comfortable. Unit fully equipped.. We cooked the whole time and weren't missing anything.

amazing property
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property! The owners have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable and stress free. The condo itself was extremely clean and well maintained. The location was great, close enough to SF for easy days trips, but far enough to escape the traffic and to truly relax.

Great location outside SFO
Great spot 30 min from San Francisco. Clean and roomy. The lockbox for the entrance sticks so we needed the owners help to get in. The hostess was out of town during our stay so we didn’t get the welcome basket or laundry access, but otherwise our stay was pleasant.

Beautiful
This was a beautiful little apartment well cared for, cozy and comfortable. Connection with the management was easy and very helpful. There are lots of walking and biking trails along the beach and up into the hills. It was just an amazing few days of relaxation and comfort. I would highly recommend this VRBO.

Very nice place, two large bedrooms, plus a pullout couch bed, full kitchen, walkout to backyard from living area. It's about 10-15 minutes walk to beach. Host is friendly, responsive.
Only drawback in my opinion is there are ants here and there, especially on kitchen counter when we visited. Host says it had been raining and ants are usually active after the rain.

Weather horrible , place great.
My daughter and her husband and my two grandkids and I enjoyed being together in this amazingly well supplied space. The weather required we spend a lot of time inside. There is a very large kitchen and two comfortable bedrooms and a sleeper sofa. We had room to interact or be private. The kids enjoyed the toys supplied and the adults enjoyed the cheese crackers and beverage.
The owner was very pleasant and helpful and clear on her expectations which were easy to meet. We would stay there again.

Wonderful Getaway
My wife and I had a wonderful stay. The apartment is very clean, beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The kitchen is large and fully stocked with everything needed. The patio is bright and cheery, and Mary-Anne is a fabulous host. We are definitely going back again.

This place is cute and well kept. The property manager was wonderful in communicating and accommodating our needs. A colleague and I needed to get away to write and we were able to do so quite well in the space. The location is close to a great many things practical and exploratory.
The beds were quite comfortable rich is rare to say about being away from home.
The only aspect to take into consideration is that it has noisy water pipes where you can hear the water running through from upstairs.

Perfect
My wife and a friend and I stayed for a weekend and it was perfect. It was much bigger than we'd expected from the pictures; the neighborhood was extremely quiet yet very close in proximity to Hwy 1 (EASY walking distance to Sam's, Barbara's, etc). We've stayed at Harbor View for decades, but with the discovery of this gem, I don't think we'll be seeing the view from Harbor View anytime soon. Sincerest thanks, Mary-Anne!

Simply the best
A beautifully presented and maintained apartment, which is obviously greatly cared for by it’s owner.
Conveniently situated for the stunning beachfront and several fantastic eateries, this property had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay.
Mary-Anne was beyond helpful and went to great pains to make sure we had everything needed whilst we were there - a dream host, and we would not hesitate to recommend her and this property to anyone fortunate enough to visit this beautiful coastline.

This is a very spacious lower half of a duplex. The owners live on the upper level. They met us upon arrival and are responsive if needed but otherwise completely unobtrusive. The rooms are immaculate and very comfortable. The location allows easy access into Half Moon Bay and even San Francisco (30-45 min). I gave 4 stars rather than 5 for location because the view is simply of the neighborhood. This was a very nice place to stay.

Cozy
We had a wonderful time at this rental. It is very clean and Mary-Anne thought of everything you could possibly need to feel at home. The beds were comfortable and the the whole layout is very spacious. I loved the welcomed snacks and wine! Yummy😘�
We enjoyed the beach and the feel of a small cozy town, We also loved that San Francisco is so close and so we took advantage of that , but felt great that we could come back to this relaxing and quiet rental. I would absolutely recommend it!
