Great location right on the walkway and sand!!!!

First off the location on the beach is excellent. But you know this when you book it and you’re paying for it. The home is under supplied. It’s 3 bedrooms but there were only five forks in the whole unit. It only had five towels we could find. There was no paper towel, toilet paper or aluminum foil. We have to buy disposable cutlery and all these other items. I texted the owner but never received a response. Also there is not 2 functioning parking stalls. Our second stall was filled with garbage and recycling containers. The stall we did have was an extremely tight if you have an SUV. For multiple nights the other side of the duplex was rented. They had at least nine people staying there and were quite loud till 1 am. It wasn’t bad inside the building but be aware the outside space is all shared The check out also wasn’t great. Our check out was 11 am but the cleaner showed up at 9:30. They started off with the other unit which was vacant but it was intruding when they were cleaning the outside space before our checkout time. We couldn’t enjoy the outdoor space because of this on our last morning.

Love the location and the porch area

We have been staying at South Mission as a family for 30 years. We used the connected units with the the common patio working nicely for our group. The proximity to both the ocean and bay is good for all our age groups. Enjoyed the water, biking, jogging, walking, hoops on the sand, scooters and the Plunge for the little guys, big family meals. Can't wait for next year.

We are a group of educators from Tucson and came out to Mission Beach to escape the heat. We had a amazing time with great friends and family. The beach house was perfect and a great way to unwind and enjoy the ocean views. We will be staying here again.

The rental was just as described. We entered and it was clean and ready right on time. Check in was seamless and our host was very responsive. We had a "tiny" problem that he addressed immediately and resolved early the next morning. It is in a perfect part of Mission Beach and we would not hesitate to stay again!

We stayed 3 days and 4 nights. The property supplied us with no basic supplies for our 3 day stay. The toilet papers were already running out. We had 3 baths with only 1 piece of dove soap. NO trash bag, NO shampoo or conditioner. NO dishwasher detergent. NO HAIRDRYER. Barely 5 ml cooking oil. NO cooking spray, no red peppers or any other spice. Worst part was that the the property manger didn't care to reply or apologize and sent things on the evening if our 2nd day of stay saying that his vrbo app crashed. FYI you also get an email when someone send message on vrbo app. We already shopped for everything by then. It was a big inconvenience for a short stay and having 3 people in 3 showers only to find out that there was no soap or shampoo was crazy and then having no hairdryer for you to get ready for dinner out!!

The location and view was great. We celebrated a birthday and it worked perfectly. Two parking spaces as well as a large parking lot a short walk away. Everyone enjoyed gathering around the gas fire pit table outside. I would recommend and would book again.

When we arrived we were shocked that there was no front door — just a dingy door that opened into a back bathroom (that was outdated and dirty). When we went into living room, discovered that the floors were very dirty — I swept up a pile of it. Window treatment pulls/wands were broken on 2-3 windows. There was a missing cabinet pull in the kitchen. The master bed headboard banged into the wall when you got in bed. Nasty, rusted floor a/c vent in master. In the other 2 bedrooms, there was no place to put luggage, resulting in a mess of clothes, etc., all over the place. The kitchen drawers were in terrible disarray, with inadequate silverware. There were no kitchen scissors or chip clips. Things were just thrown into drawers and cabinets, with no apparent organization. Fireplace vents were very rusty. The coffee table in the living room had chunks of wood missing and other extensive damage. The pictures online did NOT represent this place! Do NOT stay here!!!!!!

Clean and comfortable stay for our family of 4, including kids aged 2 and 5. Being right on the beach is key when toting kids, chairs and toys, and you can just step out on the ocean front walk for a morning jog. The sunsets are fantastic on clear days. The location is very walkable to Belmont Park, a corner grocery store for basics, and is a short drive to several museums, the Zoo, Balboa Park, etc. Overall, we enjoyed our vacation here.

We really enjoyed this property literally steps from the sand. Walking distance to many restaurants and shops. The only downside was that it is right in the flight path for San Diego airport. Lots of planes overhead from 6:30am until about 11:00pm.

Location is top notch! My husband and I took this trip with 4 teenagers to celebrate high school graduation and it was all we wanted it to be! House is roomy and in good condition. Shared patio with next door unit could be awkward but we had great neighbors and with our 6 and their 8 people we still had separate space. Having parking spaces was great since it can be a nightmare in Mission Beach to find parking. Host Zac was a breeze to work with. It was a great, relaxing week of vacation!

We had such a great experience with being able to check in early and checking out late. Our group has to work on Friday and was so nice to do it from the property. We also requested a late checkout because our flights left much later. So thankful! We will def stay here next year if it's available!

Perfect location right on the beach. Everything was clean but the bed linens kinda need replaced, there were some old stains and holes in two of the comforters. The parking space is insanely tight for a full size SUV but would be fine for a little car. Overall great spot!

This condo in Mission Bay is an excellent place to stay in San Diego. It is beautiful, large, plenty of rooms and bathrooms. It is clean. The kitchen is undated with a wonderful stove and refrigerator. The laundry is locked up outside which is great so you don't have to hear the noise. This place is right on the boardwalk and beach. It is situated far enough away from the Belmont Park that there is less congestion and noise. We were lucky to have had 4, 80+ degree days mid-February which was a blessing since it was 20 degrees back home! I enjoyed eating breakfast everyday on the large patio watching the people go by, enjoying the ocean and watching the sun rise. The BBQ grill is large and clean. It is close to a small but well stocked market, several coffee shops and wonderful restaurants. It is a duplex but no one was staying on the other side so we had the patio to ourselves. I reviewed many places but wanted to make sure I would have a good view of water. This place is right on the beach so you could not have a better location. We enjoyed ourselves so much we are planning to return in the future.

We stayed 9/27/21 to 10/4/21. There are 2 sides to this unit. We rented 1 side and our daughters in-laws rented the other side. Once you open your back condo slider (big long slider) the beach is right across the walkway. We LOVED the location as it’s Mission Beach and a short walk to the restaurants/bar. Its towards the end of Mission Beach. Still close to everything but not in the middle of all the foot traffic. Loved the condo w/big beautiful sliding doors that open facing the patio and view of beach. Full refrigerator, blender, microwave and regular coffee pot (not pods). Plenty of dishes, pots & pans, mixing bowls, drinking cups, coffee mugs etc. Only complaint is the mattresses in the 2 guest rooms; bdr 1 - had a full bed and bdr 2 - had 2 twin beds, they were old and horrible! The bed in the master room was better. The bedding/pillows in ALL the rooms are VERY OLD/ OUTDATED. The pillows were like flat boards, we went out and bought all new pillows as we were going to be there for a week. The Laundry room is outside in the carport area which is fine and there was laundry soap and other stuff (beach chairs) that people had left just as we did. You enter the condo through the carport area, through a small gate that leads to the downstairs bathroom and that’s how you enter condo (weird) but it’s fine. Our daughters in-laws next door had termites upstairs in their bedroom and bathroom. They reached out to Zac and he was great and responded immediately. All he could do was offer spray until our departure. He stated they come out during that time of year and being that the condo is so close to the water. 🤷🏻‍♀️ They were upset about it but just dealt with it. We paid 5,500 for the week and although the kitchen is updated, the bedrooms, bedding etc are very outdated. All the bedrooms are upstairs. The master has a balcony and a view of the patio below and of course the ocean. This Condo is perfect if families want to stay on the beach in two separate units but still want to be together. When walking out each patio slider, you are sharing the same patio space with your neighbor. Each has their own section of table w/6 chairs and a propane fire pit w/2 chairs. For me i’d only stay there again if my family rented the other side. Reality is, you’ll never know who your neighbors are until you get there.

Great Location, beautiful views, clean property!

Great stay in with Mission Beach. We rented both sides of the property with family and friends and we’re in walking distance to Bonita Bay the Getty to watch the sailboats and Belmont Park for shopping and entertainment. Not very many rentals next to us we’re rented which provided a private event stay for us which was great! We hired a local beach fire guys to set up tikis and fire pit and chairs on the sand for a ultimate beach vacation experience.

This condo is beautiful and clean. The views and location were perfect for our wide range of ages with something for everyone!

My stay couldn't have been more ideal. Between the location, property and convenience of what it offered, it was one of the most comfortable vacations I've ever had. It was clean, well maintained and far enough from Belmont Park to enjoy the privacy of a beach house with the advantages of having such a great entertaining area within a 5 minute walking distance. After reaching out to the property manager regarding a minor internet issue, communication was quick and issue was resolved even quicker. A return visit is already in the works with hopes this property is available. Don't hesitate to give it a try with all the confidence in the world.

The property itself is beautiful, the beach in front is absolutely stunning and we were in walking/biking distance of everything we wanted to do. Comfortably slept 6 adults and we used the outdoor patio area daily.

The location is wonderful with the exception of being directly in the flight path of the airport so there is loud jet noise pretty often. The home needs a good carpet cleaning. Stairs are gross and large stains upstairs in bedroom. Had issues with wifi that owner ghosted us on (fortunately, my husband was able to swap router from home next door that was unoccupied, but being cleaned, during our stay so we could have Internet). Home doesn't include basic beach staples (chairs/toys), which is unusual. We couldn't even find any garbage bags, which was a pain. Overall, this was one of the more disappointing VRBOs we've stayed in, especially considering the price.

This home enabled an unforgettable vacation with grandparents from St. Louis, aunts from Chicago, and our 10 month old child from Texas. This house is close enough to the airport to allow us to settle in very soon after landing. The rooms and bathrooms were comfortable, clean, updated and beautiful and the house was spacious enough for all three groups to feel a sense of personal space. The living space on the main floor and outdoor patio were exactly what our group needed to gather comfortably throughout the day. When we wanted to try beach time, it is literally out our back door. Most of the time we opted to hang on the spacious and comfortable patio. We will not forget this trip, and may need to make it an annual one!

Is there anything better than the beach as your front yard? Enough said.... Great location, clean and well appointed. Odd entry as the ‘front door’ takes you into a bathroom but you never use it as the sliding glass doors off the patio from the beach is all you really need.
