We needed a week of rest and relaxing. This offered it. It has a small town feel close to Nashville. Amenities are amazing. Great location.

Easy to find!! Very friendly welcoming owner available if you needed anything!! The cabin was very very clean and cozy with all the comforts of home!! The owners take pride in their cabins with all the details to make it enjoyable!! There is a charcoal grill on the back porch... I wish there was a gas grill instead. We ate out all weekend in the surrounding areas! For this cabin you had to walk to the lake and there was a shared fire pit (with another cabin) and some paddle boats to use. We brought our own wood, but there was some wood there. Great area to fish or relax down by the water!! We went back and forth to Nashville a few times! Close to mount Juliet also for restaurants and stores! We enjoyed the inside wood burning fire place!! Only wish wish item was a hot tub:) Overall a beautiful cabin and location and we are glad we stayed here and can't wait to return when we are back in this area again! Thank you so much for sharing your cabin!! Until next time!!

Only thing that bummed me out was the paddle boats not working it was one of the perks but I enjoyed the stay and the cabin overall

What a beautiful property. It was so relaxing and quite. Located perfectly on a lake. The owner was wonderful. We were coming into town very late and he had everything ready for us. We had a wonderful time and would certainly stay there again.

Cabin was clean and spacious. Very quiet and peaceful area. Kids enjoyed paddle boat. Wish it had been a little warmer to enjoy a campfire as well. Late checkout was greatly appreciated!!!

The property was “more” than it appeared to be in pics! While it is not “flashy,” it has a cabin feel…very clean, well stocked, quiet area. Owner is on site and very hospitable!

This cabin was perfect for us. Very neat and clean and lots of riom for the 4 of us. Beds were very comfortable! Steve was very friendly and helpful.

Everything was a breeze from booking to checking out. The property owners were great. Very nice place. We stayed for our daughters softball tournament in Nashville. If we play there again next year we will definitely be trying to stay again.

Comfortable and clean house that has everything you need. Nice distance from Nashville to be out of the city yet still close enough to stores, mini-golf and several restaurants. The property is very private and quiet with limited traffic. The Gallatin Marina is close by and great to rent a pontoon from and see more of the river, plus a great place to eat at Awedaddy's. Steve is a wonderful host and ensured we had everything we needed to be comfortable for the week. There were some baby turtles in the water by the dock which were really cute to see. Water was nice, so major currents and easy to paddle on. Would recommend for family and friends!

Wonderful cabin with beautiful views of the lake. Quiet and peaceful. The cabin is so comfortable with everything you would need for a great holiday, very comfy beds, all kitchen appliances, lovely swing on the porch to relax in! Would definitely recommend and hope to go back soon. Owner Steve is just lovely, very friendly and informative. Had a fabulous time!

We rented all 4 cabins available and were completely impressed. All of the cabins were extremely clean, very well appointed and adaptable to a variety of situations. We enjoyed playing in the sand, fishing off the dock, sitting at the fire ring socializing (and cooking s'mores of course) and racing paddle boats. The owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome and were a pleasure to deal with. You will not regret a visit to this property.

What a Great place. We had the best time. Cabin was clean,well equiped with everything you could want.
We had three cabins Fernwood, Heron's and Moonlit for a family reunion/wedding.
Lake was wonderful. Nice dock to tie the pantoon to. good fishing.
I wiil go back.

Our family decided to do something different this Christmas: escape all of the hustle of extended family and friends and enjoy a simple family Christmas--the cabin and its location were just the perfect place. Very quiet area. Steve and Deb included everything one may need while staying at the cabin. Kitchen is well stocked--there was nothing we needed that was not there. Master queen bed was comfortable. We liked the split plan (having 3 kids, five and under, it was nice putting them in bed in their rooms on one side of the cabin, and enjoying the evening on the other side of the cabin where the living room and master bedroom are).
My son really enjoyed the paddle boat rides, and the girls enjoyed the hammock and the kid toys inside the cabin.
Steve and Deb were very fair with our deposit $--despite breaking an item at the cabin, they still returned the full amount.
Our only complaint is the wireless access: you can only access wireless network from the master bedroom (laptop picked it up, iPad did not). However, the wireless Internet speed that the laptop picked up was very satisfactory. This minor complaint will not deter us from staying there again if we're up in the area. Everything else at the cabin and the area around was just perfect!

My family stayed at Slayden Cabin for the week of my son's wedding in Lebanon. We had a wonderful time. The Jensens were great hosts. The cabin was homey and well furnished for cooking. My daughter cooked gourmet meals for us every day. Thank you so much! Sandy Kovach

My daughter graduated college and I needed a place for the family to gather afterwards. This cabin was the perfect place. The cabin is very well maintained and very clean. Plenty of room for everyone. The kids had fun in the paddle boat along with the water balloon fight. Thanks to Steve and Deb for helping to make my daughters day extra special. Will defenitely be returning.

My family stayed at Heron's Landing over Thanksgiving. It was perfect for my family of 6. The bedrooms were set up great for adults or children. We cooked Thanskgiving dinner here and fit the whole family at the dinner table or the bar counter. The kids enjoyed fishing in the lake. Clean and comfortable place to stay! Internet is a little spotty, but everything else was great!

Our overall experince with this place was excellence,We enjoyed time with our family. our niece was the one who found it and she did a great job.Our cabin had all the amenities we needed.The lake was beautiful.We would recommed this place to everyone,can't wait to go back there.The week-end was not long enough.

from the time we arrived, till the time we left, steve and deb were the best of hosts. nothing was to much trouble for them.the cabin which we were in was very well maintained and the utmost of cleanliness. we are well seasoned travellers and i can assure anyone that books a cabin with steve and deb will be more than pleased.we had the cabin for a week and we regretted to leave.it's definitely on the short list for next year

Heron's Landing is better than described. Clean and very comfortable with everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The internet connection was a bit sporadic - however this did not affect our comfort or the quality of the place. Really good air conditioning which was great as we were there for an excessively hot week.
We had been concerned about there being only one bathroom, but it was fine as it was big with two sinks in the vanity and the five of us managed very well.
The outside area is lovely with a big deck with view of the lake from the swing chair. At night we listened to hat lovely summer Southern song of katydids and tree frogs while we watched the fire flies winking on and off. So relaxing and so much better than the sounds of the city!
The children (5 & 8) loved playing outside and we all enjoyed swinging in the hammock. Roasting marshmallows around the community firepit at night was an added treat as was the paddle boat.
I think what would make the lake more enjoyable to swim in would be a ladder off the deep end of the dock (if that is possible) so that swimmers don't have to wade through the mud. However, very close by to the property is LaGuardo Recreation area where it is sandy, and there is also a huge swimming pool close by on the outskirts of Lebanon - where we spent a lot of time cooling off.
Thank you Steve and Deb - we had a really good week and with luck will be able to return in the not too distant future.

This is the perfect get-away for a family. We were there with our daughter and her two children 5 and 4 years of age. At the end of their visit with us, they said they loved the lake cabin the best.
The location is only 1 hour out of Nashville and easy to find. The surroundings were pleasant, safe, and children friendly.
The cabin was very clean and very well furnished.
Steve, the owner was very helpful and friendly.
We definitely recommend this property and we look forward to going back.
