It was a great week. The house was beautiful and we loved the furnishings and decor. The kitchen was awesome. It had updated appliances and lovely dishes and flatware. We especially enjoyed the ice maker and wine fridge. Staying right on the beach is so convenient. We didn’t miss a sunrise and our grandchildren loved running back and forth. We will definitely be back.

House is spotless. Wonderful kitchen. Well stocked with any utensil you might need. Back patio porch with umbrella and a sun deck. Weber Grill ready to go.
Private boardwalk to the beach.
Kiawah is wonderful- beach, biking, tennis, Pickleball and golf. Close by to Freshfields, which includes a Harris Teeter and several restaurants.

I believe it’s one of the original beach homes on the island - vintage style, very well maintained/updated, beautiful, and charming. The kitchen was fully equipped, the beds and furnishings were comfortable. The private beach access with the sunset deck was awesome! We used it almost every evening. The neighborhood was quiet, friendly, and pleasant. The owner/manager was easily accessible via VRBO messaging for any questions we had during our stay. We all very much look forward to returning to this lovely home in the future.

This house is just wonderful. It's right on the beach and the caretaker is super responsive when needed. The back master is a little crowded with antiques a bit too large for the space and a bed that requires a step stool to climb into. However, its relative privacy at the other end of the house from the other bedrooms and its door right out to the deck will keep me coming back to it every time. We look forward to our stay next year.

Oceanfront, just steps away from beach, has great bi-level deck off house and another nice deck area in dunes. House was very clean, well furnished and beautifully decorated. Kitchen is great and had everything we needed. Karen was great to work with, and we look forward to visiting again in future.

THE PROPERTY IS ON THE BEACH. STEPS FROM THE HOUSE . PRIVATE WALKWAY OVER THE DUNES. THERE IS A DECK WITH LOUNGE CHAIRS AND TABLE WITH AN UMBRELLA. THE INTERIOR OF THE HOUSE WAS SPOTLESS AND WELL DECORATED. THE LIVING ROOM WAS COMFORTABLE AND WELL FURNISHED. THE KITCHEN WAS RECENTLY RENOVATED AND IS SPECTACULAR.
THE HOST THOUGHT OF EVERYTHING- SUCH AS COFFEE MATERIALS, KITCHEN BAGS, BEACH TOWELS, ETC. THE COOKING UTENSILS, PLATES AND PANS WERE ALL THERE.

Very clean; outstanding kitchen with an exceptionally good array of utensils, cookware and appliances; working fireplace was a joy; deck at rear was delightful; gas grill worked like a champ; quiet house, and well located.
The only minor quibbles: the very high beds are tough to get into for people of small stature and the mattresses are a bit lumpy (that said, we all slept like rocks); and, the closets could use a few hangers…small quibbles for sure.
This is a wonderful rental and is exceptionally well managed by the property management company .

The house and decor are bursting with charm. The seating and beds were extremely comfortable. Anything we could have possibly needed was in the house already. We loved sitting out on the back deck enjoying our time together. Our dog especially loved sunning himself on the back deck. And you can’t get any closer to the beach!

Great place to stay
The location of this house is perfect. It's a short walk to the beach from your own walkway. The shopping center is close enough to ride your bike to get there.
The house has 3 bedrooms on one end of the house and a 4th at the opposite end. I highly recommend putting the kids in the 3 bedrooms and enjoying some peace and quiet at the other end.
Surprisingly although my children tracked in TONS of sand there is still plenty left on the beach for you to bring in as well. 🤗

Wonderful vacation getaway!
Overall, this house is a pure gem on kiawah! House was spotless, very well maintained, new kitchen renovation with all the appliances one might need on vacation, abundance of towels/blankets. The outdoor shower is a favorite of ours to use, coming off the short walk from the private boardwalk to the house.
Karen is a fantastic host, attentive, helpful, and eager to help make your stay a fantastic one. Will be looking to rebook again soon!

Gorgeous beachfront property
We love 5 Eugenia. We can’t wait to stay again next year. The house is comfortable with easy beach access right off the deck. The deck is a great place to hang out. The decor is beautiful. There’s room in the big kitchen for us to cook together. We enjoy family dinners in the dining room and beach picnics. The ice maker is a bonus. The house has everything we need and more. Our pups get to go for beach walks and swims. Outdoor shower. We love this house.

I always love when a beach house is really just that! Filled with love and memories ...and charm with just the right updates! I was greeted with flowers, a very well organized kitchen! A true rare pleasure! Never get rid the old school radio! Updates made staying there a joy! Spectacular
This property was so beautiful and peaceful. The kitchen was newly refinished and gorgeous. From the bed and bath linens to the furnishings and cozy feel, this cottage home was wonderful. The setting was breathtaking and the welcome flowers and note instantly made us feel comfortable, welcome, and at home. Definitely hope to stay again!

This place is charming. A cottage feel with all the comforts. The kitchen is well-equipped- one of the best vrbo rentals I’ve stayed in. You hear the ocean and feel the breeze on the decks. Karen is really responsive to inquiries before and during our stay. This is the first place I’d go to if we return to Kiawah.

Kiawah Island is one of our favorite places in the world. This location is terrific. The house was warm and cozy. It also had easy access (no stairs)! Big benefit.

Best Location!
We have been going to Kiawah for more than 40 years — since wild ponies still roamed the island! We have viewed the build-up on the island with mixed feelings. The big modern homes are beautiful, but we felt much of the island charm being lost. This property is one of those original beach-front properties on the quiet end of Eugenia, and it still provides that feel we love so much! The two-level deck and private boardwalk with sitting area are fabulous! Our group of six spent lots of happy hours there sipping morning coffee and afternoon cocktails! I hated to bump my overall rating down a full star. A half star would have been more accurate. The only real dings were the window AC in one bedroom and all the things stored in the closets. I understand the property will be renovated soon, so those things will probably be addressed. Even if they aren’t, we would still stay here again. The pluses—including the wonderful property manager — far outweigh the minuses!

Cottage by the sea
This cottage was perfect for our group of 7. The property manager was friendly and very helpful. While the furniture is well-used the place has a special charm. The patio and access to the beach is great. I would suggest that the owners invest in new mattresses, as they were not firm enough for two people.

Beach front, but NO BEACH VIEW
The inside of the house was pretty much as pictured online, and was clean, comfortable and very well-stocked. But many of the windows were quite dirty on the outside.
The outside decks were also about as pictured, and had plenty of furniture and cushions.
HOWEVER, you cannot see the ocean or the beach from the decks next to the house, except for a small sliver at the horizon if you go to the top deck and stand on tiptoes. There is no view from the deck in the dunes, either. The pictures of the views on VRBO must be many years old. The vegetation has grown to completely block the view. This trip was to celebrate my mother's 96th birthday, and she was not able to climb over the dunes to get to the beach, so it was a real disappointment that she couldn't enjoy it from the house (as the pictures implied we could).

Wonderful
This is a wonderful beachfront cottage. You cannot beat the location - just steps from the beach. Very quiet and peaceful.
The grounds are really beautiful, and the cottage itself is charming. The photos don't quite do it justice. We loved the patio. I set up my laptop outside and worked remotely while watching the deer stroll by. The property manager made us feel welcome and answered all of our questions.
