We loved our stay in Lake Placid to see the Total Solar Eclipse! We had been looking forward to the trip for a year, and were very happy with this home - it was very comfortable for our family that included an infant and a toddler, as well as 8 adults. There was plenty of room for us to all have the space we needed. We especially loved the wood stove in the living room, and the backyard was great to play in the snow. It was just a short walk to town, so close a 3-year old could walk herself (although the hills are fairly steep!). Our family has rented many homes in the ADKs over the last 30+ years and loved this one - it was especially clean and comfortable. Thank you!

This is the second time my family rented this house. It is within walking distance to Main Street. The house has a cozy feel. The hot tub is always a plus. Patrica is very responsive and friendly. Looking forward to a third trip in the future!

Great house in a perfect location!

Comfortable beds and couches. Place is well maintained and great location to walk to town.

Overall the property was a excellent stay. Close to Main Street (short walk). House was very clean. Hot water for showers for 10 people was a problem. Only a few could take shower at a time. Also, could have used a second TV.

We had a great weekend with our friends, including four kids ages 12-15. There was plenty to do in the home and in the village, all in walking distance. Another great weekend here- our 3rd time at this property! Thank you.

Everything was positively wonderful. Only gripe is bed was harder than preferred. We can live with that. Hope to return sooner than later.

This property was wonderful. Lots of space, fully Equipped , and very clean. Our stay couldnt have been better. The fenced in yard was great for our young kids and the sun room was convenient too ! Would recommend for anyone.

Our stay was very pleasant. The house is very well situated in Lake Placid, close to all. It was very clean and well equipped. Has a charming front porch to sit and rock on. My only comment would be that the upstairs claw foot tub is a little difficult to shower in due to its lack of grab bars or anything else to steady yourself on climbing in and out. Perhaps not the best option for the elderly or mobility impaired however, there is a more accessible shower stall in the basement if need be. Overall a very nice place. Upon arrival the house appears very dark and dreary but if you pull up the shades, blinds and shutters more light will brighten up the space. I guess they keep it closed up for security purposes. The beds were very comfortable to use and there’s an abundance of pillows to use. It’s about a ten minute walk to the center of downtown. In town, parking is often scarce so when practical, walk. We weren’t there long enough to use the hot tub or rec room in the basement but they looked nice too. Ditto the washer/dryer. I thought it was a very good value for the money and the instructions for arriving and departing clear. There’s also a 24/7 emergency number in case something goes wrong.

The house setup is great for spending time with family and friend. Centrally location to all attractions in the Lake Placid area. Easy walk to downtown. Comfortable beds. The front porch is a wonderful spot for your morning coffee.

We stayed for a long weekend and overall the property was great. Pros: -Location - super close to Main st in the village. a hill to climb to come back, but wasn't horrible -living area - lots of room for ppl to sit if needed -a/c in the bedrooms - main floor did not have it, but great cross breeze and it was fine -Seemed to be a very safe area Cons: -the lawn and steps could use some TLC. grass was not mowed so had to trudge through high grass/weeds to get to fire pit and hot tub. Steps into the property had a lot of debris that included lint from dryer all over. Just not a great first impression. -the basement was not great. We had some rain and that flooded a good part of the basement with the washer and dryer and ping pong table. Definitely had an odor of mildew down there. -shower situation. upstairs shower was in a claw foot tub which was pretty, but not super functional. hard to get in and out. the other shower was in the basement and was not aesthetically pleasing with smell down there. Overall I do want to say that the owners were very responsive when we called about the flooding. I know it's Mother Nature and not much you can do about that. Overall a good experience

This house is in a perfect location and inside was clean and comfortable. The outside could look nicer with a clean up. I would also recommend more clarity in the listing as to the fact that the upstairs bathroom where bedrooms are has a claw foot tub with shower (awkward for an older person) and the other bathroom with shower is on the lowest level so not as convenient. The owners were very responsive to my questions prior to arrival and we were able to get in a couple hours before checkin which was perfect as we had an event to get ready for. Overall I would recommend this house.

Couple issues that could use resolving otherwise good house. Upstairs bathroom sink only has hot water, no cold. Ran out of hot water in showers after two showers. Beds couple use mattress toppers- all very hard.

We loved our stay in Lake Placid. We are from Florida and it was the first time my son and his children had ever seen snow. This home was perfect for the times we stayed in and was close enough to downtown that we could walk there.

This stay was great except the hot tub wasn’t working. Our group of 8 traveled for hiking and there was more than enough room.

The home was beautiful, clean and as described. We were lucky to have chose it as we spent more time indoors then we planned due to rain. The game room was fun and we appreciated the jacuzzi!

Quaint house in quiet neighborhood. Not too big, but plenty of room inside to spread out. Perfect for our group of family and friends. Well located for walking the Main Street and Mirror Lake.

The house was just as expected, and even better than the photos! The house location was a quick walk down the hill and directly into town. Perfect for our family of grown children and spouses.

A clean home with all you need at the property. Close to walk to town and hockey arena as we were there for our 8 yr old granddaughters hockey game. The hot tub was definitely a plus. Would definitely rent again. Thanks for allowing to stay at this beautiful home.

This house was perfect for our 8 adults and 1 infant. Clean, spacious, with a location that can't be beat. Spend your day exploring Lake Placid, stop for dinner in town and walk home to the lovely deck and hot tub. Booking and communication with the hosts were easy and fast. We will be back!
