This property checked off all the boxes, location, ammenities and activities. We have vacationed all over the Southeast, Midwest and New England and without a dobt this was the best property we have ever stayed at. My family talked nonstop about coming back.

I am very particular about cleanliness and was impressed at how clean this home was! The grounds are lovely, so much space for our boys to run and play! The wood burning fireplace on the porch was amazing, the kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfy and the living room has plenty of seating for everyone to spread out! There’s lots of games and puzzles in the cabinets, and a ping pong and pool table…we were never bored. But we loved being outside enjoying the view most of all! The neighborhood is quiet! Great location- 10 mins to downtown Hayesville and 15 to hiawassee. John was great to work with and always quick to respond! We look forward to staying here again soon!
*Just a quick note that the listing says there are 5 bedrooms…there are 5 BEDS, in 4 rooms. Not a big deal for us, but it was a bit confusing.
*Also, know that this property does ask that you load and run the dishwasher, start a load of towels, adjust the temp, strip the beds, etc. before you leave in the morning.

This property was exactly as described with everything that you could possibly need and more.
I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to get away for the weekend or to spend a week at the lake. It was great!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time staying at your beautiful lake home.
Loved the fact it had two Master suites with King size beds.
The covered back porch with a fireplace overlooking the lake was breathtaking as we were relaxing in the comfortable outdoor seating watching and feeling the wooden fire flickering in the fireplace as the evening became night.
The front porch had two rockers with a great view. Looking out from every window was a wonderful view from all angles. The house felt like it was in a very safe and beautiful environment.
While we were there, we played games and several rounds of pool on the pool table and ping-pong table as well.
The furnishings inside were very nice and comfortable. The inside gas fireplace was a very nice touch. Kitchen was well stocked, and the bedding was extremely comfortable.
John was very helpful in all aspects of making sure we had a relaxing and enjoyable time while we were there. He was terrific. I would definitely recommend this upscale Lakehouse!!!!

This was our second time staying here and we absolutely love it! The house is immaculate, beds are super comfy and the location is perfect! The owner is very responsive as well. Kitchen is well stocked with all cooking and grilling needs. Outdoor fireplace is a nice feature on those cooler evenings! We had no issues and stayed for a month! Had friends come for a while, family for a while and plenty of room for all. Only 6 overnight guests allowed and no pets.

We had the very best time at this beautiful place!!! The house was very clean and organized with everything we needed for our stay!!! Although we didn’t need the owners for anything, they reached out to make sure everything was perfect and to let us know they were there for us if we had any question or if we needed anything.. My only question is, where did you get everything that made up the most heavenly master bed?! It was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in!!!!

My wife, four kids (6, 10, 11,13), and I stayed in this lovely lake home on Chatuge. From the time we inquired about some questions pre-book until check out, there was great communication with the owner. They made things very easy and welcoming! Our kids loved the games provided and smores outside on the porch overlooking the lake. The house is stocked with anything you'd need inside or out. We highly recommend this home!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Waters Edge! I hesitate to give too good of a review because we will definitely be staying here again! One of the best VRBO or (the others guys!) properties we have ever stayed at. Can’t wait to come back in the summer!

Our family felt very comfortable. The water was down-which is normal for winter time but still really nice views of the water and the mountains! We had everything we needed.

We got away for a few days before Christmas to unplug and spend some time together. Our boys play soccer and loved the open space out back. We brought them some pop-up goals and they spent an hour or so out there everyday of our stay. The pool and ping-pong tables were a big hit as well. The boys loved having their own big beds and rooms. It was a great spot for us and we look forward to visiting again in warmer weather so we can utilize the lake a little more.

Had a great time at Water's Edge. Communication with John was steady and responses were timely. The home was in really good shape with lots of wonderful details - felt like we were living in a new subdivision model home.
Lots of pros regarding the home: wonderful view of the lake, neighborhood is quiet but owners we met were all very friendly, amenities in the home entertained the kids (cornhole, video games, table tennis/pool, kayaks, fishing near the pavillion). The beds were comfortable, great books to read, and the kitchen and back porch were both setup to entertain more than our family of 5.
Only 10 minutes to the closest Ingles (on Hwy 64), there were many activities we enjoyed (horseback riding on trails, renting tandem kayaks to get on the water with young kids, hiking up Brasstown Bald, etc.) that were all within about 30 minutes from the house.
Never been to Chatuge before, but its very picturesque as the leaves start turning and traffic on the lake is quieted down. Perfect getaway from Atlanta - on our way home we drove 45 min west to Mercier Orchards, to pick apples at the #2 ranked orchard in the country (according to USA Today).
We hope to rent this home again, my family made great memories here.

Everything was perfect I only wish we would have had more time to use some of the entertainment provided by this owner. The house was amazing and furnished with everything needed for a fun getaway to the mountains. Will definitely keep this place in mind if returning to the area.

Well maintained, clean and new feeling. House was well stocked with everything we needed and more. Garage full of water toys at your disposal. Comfortable beds, cold AC. Trip was perfect and John was very easy to work with. We will stay again.

We spent a month at Water’s Edge and enjoyed every minute. The view of the lake is great, especially from the hammock on the back porch! The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. John was a gracious, welcoming and available host.

Ideal Lake House on Beautiful Lake Chatuge
We loved everything about our stay at this home. The home is in a beautiful neighborhood right on Lake Chatuge. The home itself is beautiful, spacious, and immaculate (certainly one of the cleanest VRBOs I’ve ever stayed at). The lay out allows for complete privacy for two couples as there is a second king bedroom on the second floor. There is plenty of comfortable seating inside and out on the beautiful deck. Also, it is well stocked with everything you will need, including beautiful linens and towels. We were able to bring out boat and store it at a neighboring Marina very close and convenient to the home. The house is easy to get to, no need to climb a mountain or use 4 wheel drive. Finally, the owner is a pleasure to work and was always available to answer any questions. Highly recommend and look forward to returning.

Perfect Family Vacation
We absolutely loved our stay here! Starting with the above & beyond communication with John, he was the perfect host! Our family of 4 loved all of the games & movies, and there was plenty of space for everyone to spread out, be comfortable and enjoy. The back porch was perfect for morning coffee, and some afternoon time with a book. The house had absolutely everything we needed to enjoy the week, and the easy walk through the backyard to the lake couldn't have been more perfect! We fished, used the kayaks, swam, and relaxed. We would highly recommend Waters Edge to everyone, and hope we are able to enjoy another visit in the future!

Finally found an amazing rental!
We loved our stay here! After 3 other rental experiences in the area this was by far the best... John was a great and courteous host. We loved having the kayaks to take our family out on the lake! The house is spacious and even had a full size crib for our 2 year old! The view is beautiful and the very little contact we had with neighbors was perfect too... they were all so nice and happy we were renting there! We highly recommend and hope to come back many more times!
