This is the fourth year that our extended family has spent a week at Beach Blessings. It is perfect for us. It is near the beach, and the Pool and Tennis Club, and shopping. The owners are very gracious and responsive, and do a good job of maintaining the property. We have already booked our stay for next year!

This was our third year at Beach Blessings, and we have no desire to change locations. This home is well-equipped with amenities, is located across the street from the beach, was updated with something fresh and new every year we've stayed, and is always clean. My family and I would highly recommend this wonderful home for your next OBX vacation! We'll be back again next year Dave and Christy!

Beach Blessing was just that. A blessing for our family and friends. The place was immaculately clean and the kitchen was well stocked and met all our needs. The bedding situation was perfect to accommodate us and the beds were comfortable. The easy access to the beach is what sold us on VrBo and it was so easy to access. Loved our stay there!

Pros: location, easy access to beach and sound, grocery store close, house lovely.
Cons: back porch needs fan just because there is no breeze back there.

Our family of 5 had a great week in Avon at Beach Blessings. Can't beat the location with beach access just across the street. House was clean and had everything we needed. Hosts were very easy to work with and very responsive when we had questions. Highly recommend!

The name of the home is perfect....a true Beach Blessing! We loved staying at this home. Felt almost beach front. Beautiful view of ocean from top level. Quick, easy walk to the beach. House was perfect! Fully stocked kitchen, comfy beds, hot tub and outdoors showers, games and puzzles, beach towels and beach chairs provided. Quick drive or walk to grocery, donuts, restaurant....I could go on.... Would definetly stay here again. Thank you for the blessing of your home!

The view was amazing! The house was perfect, plenty of room for everyone. The house was super clean. Beach is right across the street, couldn't have been more convenient. The beach chairs were a bonus. Communication with the property owners was very easy.

This is our third year staying at Beach Blessings for our family summer vacation! We love the location, the beach, all of the amenities of the home, the cleanliness of it as well, and the hosts, Dave and Christy, couldn’t be any more accommodating! When I ask my family of six adults and one toddler if they want me to change next years plans to a different home, they always reply, “No…Beach Blessings is perfect for us!” I think that says it all! Thank you Dave and Christy for another wonderful week at the beach!

We had a wonderful stay at Beach Blessings. It is in the most perfect location. It is very close to the beach access, a short walk to the pool, a mile from the pier, and another short walk to the Food Lion. The house was very comfortable for a family of four plus both sets of grandparents. There were two outdoor showers, a very well stocked kitchen with everything you need. There are also some beach towels and quite a few beach chairs. The view of the beach from the deck is priceless.
The host were pleasant and replied promptly. We would definitely book there again!

We absolutely loved our weeklong stay! We had our teens with us and some family friends. Plenty of space for the 9 of us and everyone had the best time. The beach access is the best! Well equipped home with everything you need. We can’t wait to visit again next Summer! Thank you for all your hospitality!

We enjoyed our stay at Beach Blessings tremendously! It was a perfect place to relax, with games and puzzles to keep us busy on the windier days. Loved that it was within walking distance to the beach. Would definitely book again!

We really enjoyed our vacation at Beach Blessing in spite of the entire week of rain, strong winds (25 - 40 mph), 60° temperatures, and 10 to 14 ft. waves from an offshore storm! First time any of us had experienced weather like this at the OBX, and it was quite an experience! We managed a few walks on the beach and along the very low traveled road and otherwise enjoyed this comfortable and very clean cottage and its excellent views of the ocean from the front windows and the deck. And we must mention how much we also enjoyed the excellent fresh seafood from the nearby Sunrise Seafood a short distance up the road! We hope to return to Beach Blessings in the late summer. We highly recommend this cottage and hope to return in the late summer!

We stayed at Beach blessings for 7 days. The house was beautiful and big enough to accommodate all of us. Owners were great and communicated with me quickly. They had games for the kids so they weren’t staring at their phones all day. I highly recommend this home.

We loved being so close to the beach and shopping. The house lived up to the description, with all the amenities that we wanted. Kitchen was equipped and provided everything we needed to cook meals. The house was beautifully decorated, and we especially loved the stained glass in the living room. We hope to come back again next year.

Overall: We really enjoyed this property and would definitely recommend it! Would gladly stay there again.
Pros: Location. Very close to the beach, just across the street. Great views of the beach from the deck, and the crashing of the surf was very audible which was also great. The Food Lion, Ace Hardware, and some other shops were close by - really convenient.
The kitchen was outfitted very well. Lots of pots, pans, utensils, etc. to use.
The ice maker on the fridge/freezer made plenty of ice and never had a jam or a freeze-up.
The mini-fridge behind the bar was perfect for extra beverages.
Lots of games and puzzles.
There were some beach chairs and boogie boards to use.
The owners are really friendly and responsive. We had an issue with the A/C on the top floor towards the end of our trip. But they were right on it and had it fixed quickly.
Cons: The king bed was too soft for me. Bad back. The mattress and/or mattress cover may need replacing as a couple of "troughs" have developed.
The deck needs replacing. It was useable but a few nail heads were exposed and could pose a hazard. Use footwear. Most of the outdoor stairs had been replaced recently.
There were two blenders on site, but neither of them worked.

Beautiful property in a super convenient location for beach (1 min) and groceries (1 min)/. Also good base to go to Hatteras and Ocracoke. Inside property was in a one shape, roomy, comfortable, well appointed with activities and necessities for "home living". Owners were very responsive to the few questions we had regarding the property, both pre booking and while we were on site. Hoping to book again for next year.

Close to the beach. Beautiful views of the ocean from the front deck. Quiet and peaceful. The Ice Cream Truck every evening was a highlight for our granddaughter. The screened in porch with the hot tub was used daily. The house is comfortable and well stocked. Hope to be there same time next year. Thank you very much.

Beach Blessings
We had a wonderful and relaxing week staying at Beach Blessings! The house was perfect for our little family. Very clean. The views from both (front and back) decks were my favorite! The location to the beach was perfect! No more than a 5min walk. The only thing I could say is to maybe consider refinishing the stairs and front deck. I was pulling splinters out of my son's feet and hands all week. But other than that, Beach Blessings was exactly that! A beautiful place to stay for a relaxing beach vacation!

Great Family place to stay
We had a very nice time staying at "Beach Blessings". It was a close walk to the beach, Kitchen was well stocked to prepare meals, and we had plenty of room to park and store beach items. The outside shower and additional water hoses were helpful and we enjoyed the enclosed back deck as well as the main front deck. Available seating to eat and relax was great. Just a note, the house listed that towels were available; there are 6 towels, so for a large group you will want to bring some of your own as well. Great place to stay and host was very informative and friendly.

Dave and Christy our stay was wonderful! Your house is a gem with beautiful peek-a-boo views of the ocean. This was an awesome location as well, close to all that you might need, especially the beach. Wouldn’t think twice about staying again!!

Great Week in Avon
We just concluded a great week at the beach. The house has a nice layout with all the bedrooms on the first floor and the kitchen/dining and family rooms on the top floor. There are plenty of bathrooms/showers and decks throughout the house. Location to the beach was great, one house over, across a quiet street, and up a boardwalk. Christy responded quickly to all of my inquiries and was a great hostess.

Wonderful Stay - Outer Banks
We were very happy with this property from start to finish, other than one minor annoyance - a problem with shelves falling off of the refrigerator door when we first arrived. We loved how close the property was to the beach, and our grandchildren enjoyed use of the nearby pool. We would recommend this home to others, and will likely return.

Wonderful house by the ocean
We truly enjoyed our time in this house in Avon. We had previously stayed in the Southern Shores and the vibe is definitely different. But the clear highlight was the awesome family room with wraparound view of the beach. We could sit in the house and feel at the beach or cross the street and be there as well.
For those new to OBX know that you have to provide your own towels which is different from other vacation destinations. But the house is warm, clean, well appointed and full of items for family fun..
The hosts were responsive and friendly .

the house was in great condition and really convenient to the beach. The hosts had thought of a lot of little details that made the stay great - beach chairs and toys already there, a gift bag with lots of little things you need like toilet paper, hand soap and dishwasher soap - great little touches!

Blessed at the beach
There was so much good at Beach Blessings, just a few challenges.: The bbq grill is down by the driveway — it’s like one you’d find in the park and could seriously use an upgrade. Great location and communication with owner; house is well equipped. We’d stay again in a snap!

We had some cool experiences on the island too like horseback riding on the beach and the jetovador (a waterskiing experience that’s so fun and unique). The house is also in walking distance to many amazing restaurants! It was the perfect family vacation. The house was exceptionally clean with all the right things needed to enjoy time in the house or at the beach. Lots of beds, blankets and pillows too! The hot tub/spa was fun to hangout in at night or after time on the beach. The large selection of board games were a bonus! The owners were very friendly and responsive to all questions and needs.
