Our only suggestion is to add mini blinds to the windows. The property is clean and quite beautiful. We enjoyed watching the deer in the morning and evening.

Great place to kick back and enjoy the water, deer and fireflys!

River Run, Kerrville, TX. Early spring and the trees were still bare of leaves. This little private getaway was very peaceful and a beautiful setting. The best of both worlds; secluded in the woods with a creek and not far from the small town Kerrville and all it has to offer. Perfect location! We rented "The Lodge" that can accommodate 4. It was just my husband and I with our 2 GD's. We had brought the dogs bedding, but was cheerfully greeted by on grounds management, David and his little pup and we were quickly offered a cover for the futon for our at-home couch potato pooches. Of course, we excepted and it made it easier for our stay without feeling the need for "NO to the couch" training! Very dog friendly! The accommodations were perfect for the 2 of us to get by for the couple of days we were there. Very clean. The A/C was cold and hot water was hot! Every cooking utensil you needed to fix meals on site, if needed. Ice trays and a full ice caddy were waiting. Although, we brought our own coffee, there was some in the cupboard with the filters and a canister full of sugar and basics like salt and pepper too. However, there was no place for us to transfer our clothing. The only closet was full of extra sheets and supplies leaving room to hang a few things, but that was all. There was two 4-hook spots on either side of the room we used for jackets and leashes. We placed our luggage on the floor and lived out of that. A Captains bed with drawers underneath would be perfect for this room. And PLEASE a new bed on a sturdier frame...a Cptns bed would also solve that! Lol Also, turn the bed between the windows to face the t.v. and there would still be room to unfold the futon. I hope mgmnt will give it a try. We're nappers and black out curtains would make it cozier in the day and keep headlights out at night. Bathroom was clean, but only 1 towel bar may hold a hand towel low, over the toilet and only ONE hook next to the shower. Not set to accommodate more than 2! I would suggest 4 hooks to hold towels side by side by the shower and one small hook or hand towel bar on the door side wall over sink. Very little space around the sink to place anything. It was quite the juggle for the 2 of us. Would be nice to have small shelves or a cabinet on the wall for guest storage or exchange the under sink storage for the guests and put the extra towels in the wall storage. Would greatly help!! All said, we found our pet friendly get away. WE'LL be back!!

We enjoyed the property and David was very helpful. There are some issues with the address listed on the confirmation, so that may need to be addressed, but the property and the stay were great. Thanks to David and Honey Mae.

We stayed for 2 nights so the kids could experience glamorous camping, this spot doesn’t disappoint. I was impressed how stocked the cabin was, soap, paper towels, even firewood for campfire and charcoal for the grill. Enjoyed the deer while sitting on the porch having coffee. River is great depth for young kids and our dog had a blast.

Quiet and peaceful location on the river! Enjoyed our stay, host was great! Loved the daily deer feedings!

We loved watching the deer & the peacefulness of the area. The cabin could benefit from a handrail & linens upgrade. Overall we enjoyed our time there.

Lovely cabin and very clean. Wonderful hosts. Had everything we needed. It was a home away from home feeling. We would love to come back on our next wedding anniversary if not sooner. My husband and I thank you for the wonderful hospitality we received. It is a very beautiful place. We truly loved it.

We were lucky to find this gem on the River! The Mgmt and staff on property were lovely and accommodating. Very peaceful. Would only recommend added privacy to curtains (ie. Darkening) or blinds. The neighboring site shares grill and table out front, so you can only really change in bathroom.

Overall great experience. Would recommend.

Total gem on the Guad! Love this dog friendly scenic property right near the river. David, the host, was attentive, friendly, and treated us like a true neighbor. He made us feel at home, we don’t think the trip would have been the same with out his accommodations! Couldn’t have asked for a better mini getaway! We will define you be returning!

The cabin was very cute and had everything we needed. I knew there were a few other cabins but was not aware that this was also an RV park. Unfortunately I injured my shoulder just before our trip and we only stayed one night.

very peaceful river was beautiful

This was a clean and cozy cabin, with a user friendly kitchen, enjoyable front porch, and very quiet.

Our cabin was very clean! We were pleasantly surprised how well supplied it was from kitchen to bathroom. We absolutely had loads of sun n fun in the water! So peaceful and quiet in the mornings drinking our coffee while watching the deer just feet away. David the site manager was helpful, friendly and accomodating. The only problem I had with the cabin were wasps. Over our 6 day stay, we found 5 wasps inside our cabin. Fortunately, my husband got rid of them before either of us were stung. Definitely a return trip for us and would certainly recommend this little hideaway place!

Cabin had everything we needed, and the property is GORGEOUS! Feed the deer in the morning or evening, enjoy the river just STEPS from the front door, and soak in some nature! David the manager is extremely courteous, and Backroads Texas was easy to book with, and extremely prompt with communication.

Very nice place on the river. More than we were expecting!

We are thrilled we found this Gem in the hill country. Was perfect for our Girls Getaway. The cabin was perfect and the river was amazing. We love the Manager, David and his precious Ambasador Huny Mae. We miss it already and cant wait to come back!

Even though mother nature did not cooperate. It was still nice to get away.

We recently went to Kerrville to see our Grandson show his pig. We stayed in the above cabin with our 2 dogs. It was very near the River and our dogs just loved being there. The property manager was very helpful and was onsite which made it even better. While there we went to see the Empty Cross on the Hill. It was wonderful.

This is already one of the most memorable vacations my daughters and I will always share. The river is about a hundred yards from the cabin. There are 3 other cabins, but during my stay, everyone did their own thing and it wasnt weird to cross paths. There is enough river bank for my little family and others to enjoy without being too close to each other. It's a very private and secure area, which was important to me. The cabin is equipped with pots and pans, a working stove, microwave, small refrigerator (large enough to fit full size groceries) coffee pot, plates, cups, cooking/eating utensils and basic spices. Plenty of towels and blankets for myself and my two kids...and we used fresh ones every day. There is an HEB in town, several great mom and pop restaurants, which was great and the areas we visited were not further than 45 min from the cabin. All routes are beautiful and scenic. We woke up to deer every day during our 3 day stay....and it was great to leave the door open and watch my kids play without worry. The manager lives on site and checked on us once. I had his phone number if we needed anything. I was so impressed with how stocked the place was!! I didn't need to bring half of what I did, not knowing what the cabin would or wouldn't have aside from the original post during the booking process. Though -- We will be back!!

Very nice little cabin for a weekend getaway with a very nice river access. We were looking for a pet friendly cabin and this fit the bill. The property manager was very nice and very accommodating. The cabin was clean and well appointed and was perfect for us. The property has a fantastic Guadalupe river access with a nice little shallow rapids and beach. Would love to come back here in the summer to take advantage of the water. Highly recommend this property!
